If you like Seafood from Quincy (Tony's, Clambox, etc) you'll be very disappointed if you spend your money here. We ordered a Haddock Plate and Scallop Box. The scallops were Bay Scallops, small and not too much flavor. The Haddock was just OK. They should of cut the end off. The fries were white, I thought they were uncooked, that's how white they were. I got it with you name it, Mayo, ketchup, hots, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. The steak was cut too fine to the point it became beef. overall the sandwich was not worth the price. I tried a couple of things on the menu and most of the time its a hit or miss. The buffalo chicken calzone was EXTREMELY salty, so salty that i couldnt even finish it. The fish and chips is delicious, the fish is crispy and has a good flavor to it. Also, everytime i go to simcos i have to get the fried dough! Its is so good and they do give you a good serving size. Not as Good as the Original but we are talking about Roslindale. Simco's is known for their foot long hotdogs and nice buttery toasted HD buns but this one seems to use extra salty hotdogs, they attempt to toast the buns but it never quiet gets the same toastiness that Blue Hill ave gets. The pizza is OK but a little on the salty side, and there is pounds of cheese (love it), def on the greasy side. Fish and Chips were good but with Pisces down the parking lot, your better of going there for quality fish. I will applaud them on there banana boats and the size of there floats. Fried dough is also a winner iin my book. Good for late night snaking but would stick to the simple foods nothing to elaborate or your more than likely to be disappointed. called Simco's at 1509 Blue Hill Ave at 12:30am and my order was approximately $30.00. When I arrived at home; (1) the grill chicken wrap did not have all the condiments I requested and to make matters worst it was extremely soggy, the bread was wet and fluids dripping through everything. (2) Ordered two different flavors of slice pizza-guess what there was only one slice in the bag. (3) I called at 1:15am to inform them of the problem and no answered the phone. Used to be a customer of Simco's in Mattapan Sq for decades. Had few complaints on their hot dogs. Really; how can you mess up a hot dog?? Went to the Roslindale location tonight and ordered two hot dogs with onions, mustard and relish. Had to wait 25 minutes and remind them I'm waiting (there was no one in front of me); and when the dogs were ready, I was disappointed. The dogs tasted like they had been waiting around for someone to buy them the entire day, and they were tasteless. If it weren't for the condiments, they would have been. So, I'm not really one to call out a place, but after spending 30 bucks plus on a hot dog an 2 sandwiches, you damn right i am. After placing my order I asked to put ketchup and napkins in the bag. I went back to my car to wait for the order to be done. Few minutes go by I go back to the window to pick up my order. I go back to the car open the bag see there's no napkins and no ketchup. I go back up to the window and one of the workers is telling me they're closed. I told him all I needed was napkins and ketchup. The lady counting money asking the employee what I needed, he tells her I need napkins and ketchup. She replies " no, tell them we're closed and they can't get it" it's not like I was some random ass person to walking up to the window to ask for these things. this was my first visit to simco's , the ordering process was unorganized, there was no clear line, everyone else there seemed like regulars and understood how it worked. I ordered a hotdog basket w/ onion rings and the onion rings tasted like fish I assume they cook them in the same oil( I hate fish). the hot dog wasn't bad but I don't think I would go back again. read more

i dont kno if this is the same Simco's ive eaten on the late night on blue hill ave in mattapan or American Legion Highway,,,But all i can really say is i love the HOT DOGS they are really really good with kethup,onions and mustard,,But never tried any of the other menu items its poosible i will visit again soon and try somthing else.. read more

decent food , decent service , expensive prices . they have a huge variety on the menu and everything is cooked to order. the employees are the same after all the years I've been coming here so it shows there dedication to what they do and there food shows it, the place will not blow ur socks off but it's just another average Italian food shop. the bads are that they only take cash ( it's 2014 stop being cheap and take credit) and that they have no paper menu's printed to take home. they only have a plastic menu for u to look at and take back.. once again stop being so god damn cheap and print some paper menus for people to take home read more

This place received a decent grade from simply because of the prompt service you receive at this joint. They tell you five minutes they mean five minutes. Now maybe that can be a problem with some of there selections not as tasty as the simcos in mattapan and they claim to be run by the same people they might rush the food or don't prep as much who knows but the food does not taste the same. The chicken wings and fingers are way to salty the fries are soggy unless you ask for the crunchy fries they will give you them tired ass soggy fries. I give it to them on portions there seafood doesnt compare or rival mattapans but they fix hearty plates, there fish sandwhich for $5.25 they give you a big bulky roll and two big pieces of fish and for the fish and chip you get five decent pieces plus a good amount of fries. There prices are competitive with the rest of the competive chains. The hotdogs which they are famous for atleast the original simcos were seem skinny to me and not that tasty to me, the chili seems cheap and store bought like wise for there soup selections not fresh at all. The staff are all sweet and plesant except for the little old lady who seems to always be there she is obnoxious and rude and shouldn't be in this business I can't stand her but the rest of the staff is great. There quick to tell you there the same simcos as mattapan but my tastebuds tell me otherwise. the whole bellied clams were delicious so was the soft moisturized French fries. the only downfall was that I threw out the onion rings very hard over breaded and cold.i will absolutely be by their again for the clams and fries. and next time I will try the raspberry lime ricky. the help were so very friendly and the kitchen was spotless. read more
