Stopping by around 2pm, it didn't look busy in here yet no one came to the host stand for a while. After greeter nonchalantly by the host and seeing that I was a solo diner, he told me to sit at the bar instead of even offering me a table (which I would have preferred). After scanning all of the empty seats at the bar, none of it was clean with used glasses littering the bar. After I told him this, he started saying that he'd find me a spot but I decided it was in my best interest to leave: if you can't even keep a restaurant clean when there's no one in there, I can't imagine wanting to eat there. Huge disappointment since I've been to other Silver Diners and liked the food. This place needs to get their act together. read more

Great variety of food. Great service and always pack. Come with time and get ready to wait in line during weekends. Food is diner quality and you will get that Diner atmosphere. Came in for a meeting but it was to loud and server want it us to leave because the place was full. Too bad lunch ruin. Great Greek food you have to try de Greek platter. read more

I honestly liked this place for the food but today I stood there waiting to be seated behind 6 people that eventually walked away because no one would seat them and they weren't even busy. Waitresses chatting to each other even looked my way but would not seat me so after 10 minutes I walked away and went to the firkin pub. Disappointed in the service at silver diner not sure I want to go there again read more

Keeping COVID in mind per Yelp. @1330 8/2/21 The host sucked. Zero customer service. Ignoring everybody who came up to be seated. Not very welcoming. More employees than customers. So staffing not an issue. Ordered a crab cake sandwich (not available), ordered French toast (not available), half the drink order brought to table, other half sitting on counter. I'm at an airport, zero urgency in getting tables turned around. More dirty tables than clean ones (remember more staff than customers). 1410 now - still no sign of food. Food finally arrived and my daughter pulls a foot long hair from her sliders. The look on the waiter's face was priceless (not his fault). I ask to have that item taken off the check, no friction. The manager comes by to apologize and says he's also gonna give a discount on the check (thanks?). The check comes and they took off 5% a food item, not the check (I thought 20% might have been more acceptable but I guess not!). Absolutely horrible from start to finish. Where is corporate?? Hopefully this helps somebody avoid a disappointment. read more

I'm at the Vegas airport right now, waiting for a friend's flight to arrive. I ate at the Silver Diner when I was flying out. I've eaten at my fair share of Silver Diners in both MD and VA, and this one, in terms of food quality, wasn't too bad. I think the food choices at BWI are pretty good for airport food--there's a Quizno's, McDonald's, Mayorga Coffee, California Tortilla, and Panda Express, to name a few. This location also offers prepared food to go, so you don't have to dine in if you don't want to. Anyway, I ordered a glass of orange juice and the Caramel French Toast, which comes with two eggs and your choice of 2 sausage links or bacon. The eggs were prepared how I liked it, and it was the perfect pre-flight meal since Southwest only serves snacks and drinks on their flights. I gave marks off for my server. I ate in the patio and it wasn't full when I arrived. It got a bit busier but it seemed like she was overwhelmed and wanted to turn tables over as quickly as possible. Nevertheless it took a while for her to collect my money. It came to $10.64 with tax. I gave $15.04 and got back $4 in change (wut?) Even though I get better service in other Silver Diners, this is the only place to get pancakes asides from McDonald's, so I won't mind dining here again. read more

Silver Diner's OK; it's one of the better food options while waiting for a Southwest flight. However, the service is a minor disaster. You'd think a busy location like this, with the number of people they've got working front-of-house, that it wouldn't be this much of a train wreck. I had to grab some breakfast in the middle of getting bumped from one cancelled flight to another airline, destination airport, and terminal. The omelette and home fries I had were pretty decent, overall, and Silver Diner at least makes an attempt to source local ingredients when they can. But with five people behind the counter, I shoulda had a menu in my hand in seconds and a cup of coffee shortly thereafter. Instead, they huddled in the corner near the POS terminal, shooting furtive glances over their shoulder at the people waiting to order. SD's a good place to grab a bite before your plane, but keep a tight rein on your server. read more

I've been here twice and both times I've ordered the chopped bison steak breakfast. It's great! The balsamic sauce is delicious and the home fries have a great crispiness. The peppers, onions, and mushrooms on top also had good texture. The music is fun and if you're at the right kind of table you can put in some quarters and make selections on a mini-tableside juke box. Service is attentive and can get you in and out if you need to be in a hurry. There are a few screens that show the Southwest departures if you want to keep an eye on your flight. The price point is great, at least for an airport. read more

Grabbed a milkshake between flights, chocolate. Was SO bad, we couldn't figure out what the terrible taste was. Don't think container gets washed between uses and flavor changes. We threw it away. read more

Service was slow when we sat at the high tops so we moved to the bar. From there, i could tell they weren't the best wait staff in the world, but at least our bartender was. I think the most AMAZING thing about this diner is that the 20 oz pour beers are only $6. I shouldn't even need to elaborate further with the rest of my review. I mean at an AIRPORT, you're going to pour me a nice cold 20 oz local heavy seas brew and charge me a measly $6!!??!!! Oh hail to Silver Diner for making me believe in the impossible! ps: the husband and I were really just killing time and was in the mood for loaded fries.. they're not on the menu, but they can special order for you.. for a whooping $4 bucks-- fries, bacon, cheddar, and ranch dressing.. this diner may make me fly only out of BWI from now on.. read more

Breakfast here-phenomenal! I had literally no intentions on writing a review and had little expectations (it was 6am and half awake). Our server, willie, THE BEST! He was so sweet, the food was incredible and fresh, and service was quick and easy. I need more layovers in Baltimore just to come here. read more

I only had a milk shake however it hit the spot! I got a black and white milk shake. it was good. I got it to go to catch my next flight. I finished it before I even got on the plane. read more

Breakfast looked great on the menu, boy was that misleading. I got a farmers skillet and it was dry and bland. Didn't have a chance to tell the waitress though because she only came back to our table twice. Once to give us our food and once to give us our bill. Only thing she asked us the entire time was what we wanted to eat. Absolutely atrocious service and food. read more

Probably eat here once to twice a year. Made a point of grabbing crabcakes on my way out of the airport. Unlike my last experience when these were good, the crabcakes are now greasy and filled with noticeable chunks of greasy bread filler. I wasn't offered an option to get them broiled and was told they no longer carry cocktail sauce. Sad waste of calories and flavor. Should have been suspicious of the new glossy menus. Something was lost along the way. Will walk further to get decent crabcakes in terminal B from now on. Still trying to get the greasy coating out of my mouth. You're in Baltimore, please do better! read more

I will now look forward to stop sin Baltimore just for this diner. Various healthy options including Bison meat? Made to order food by friendly staff? I tipped the waitress like 50% just cuz she was so awesome. read more

I like Silver Diner. I like that I can get fresh and tasty food. Although this is not my go-to location, the quality of food that I received is no different than my local Silver Diner. My husband and I stopped by for a dinner before our flight. I wasn't that hungry, but Silver Diner usually serves their portions big enough to split into 2 light meals. We order grilled fish tacos to share. The server asked the kitchen to split the tacos and the accompanying salad into 2 plates. We enjoyed our dinner and didn't feel overly stuffed at the end. read more

Service was nonexistent. We arrived from NY with about two hours to kill so my wife and I figured, why not get some breakfast? We were seated fairly quickly......in the very very back. We looked over the menu which was simple and over priced but that is to be expected at an airport. About 15-20 min goes by and still no waiter. This place is about 1/4 full and the wait staff is wondering around socializing with each other. We got up and left, realizing that our waiter was not coming anytime soon. Lucky for us we found The Firkin & Flyer. Here, we were quickly served and the bartender was kind and accommodating. I highly suggesting you skip this place and walk the extra 100 yards to the Flyer. read more

Didn't even eat here...floor was greasy, menu was trashed...asked for a booth and they had at least 10 open but tried to sit me in this awkward corner and then they brought out my hot water in a dirty cup. No thank you. Cancelled my order and left. read more

The food appeared fresh and that's about where the compliments end. The food was bland in taste, the waiter wasn't present and felt he was trying to complete a checklist, not take care of people. The booths all had power outlets which were nice, but the isles were small and challenging to navigate at times due to luggage. I hope the management also encourages flexibility with the menu to cater to the guests. read more

Since we didn't have too much time to spend, we just got some of their quick to-go sandwiches. Everybody in my party enjoyed the food they received. The service was also very prompt, and friendly. Good work for an Airport restaurant. read more

The place to go if you are in BWI- fast and good. Because this is an airport, I would give it a bonus 1/2 star if I could. The food came out about 5 minutes after I placed my order. I ordered the tomato and mozzerella sandwich. Along with tomato (out of season, so couldn't ding them for mediocre quality) and mozz, roasted peppers, basil, balsamic lettuce on chiabatta. Sides of fries and slaw. Slaw had cranberries in it? I ate about half of the small cup, but would have been just as happy not eating any of it. Shoestring fries, nothing special and a bit on the "sitting around for a few minutes before serving" side. read more

Makes you forget your eating in an airport (until you get the bill, LOL) Great fresh food, and good new food items I recommend the Huevos rancheros, wow this was amazing. read more

Like most I fear the airport diner for the most part, but I needed lunch / dinner and I am done with fast food. Furthering my doubts are claims of freshness and such. Lastly the expectation of significant over price is always present. All my fears were alleviated during my visit to the Silver Diner at BWI The food was really good. I got the Baja Fish Tacos: they were delicious. I had the fried white fish to be safe and truly enjoyed! The side summer salad was also good but I could tell the mango had been frozen. The price came to 12.18 for one Person but it was plenty of good and a decent value The service was good...need to bring the check quicker at an airport restaurant but I had plenty of time. The service was polite and friendly Overall I recommend and will stop again read more

Sold me some food and a couple drinks at the bar after they had officially closed. Much appreciated this relief and great customer service as I was stuck in the airport all night on this occasion. Good diner fare. read more

Quick, decent, and friendly staff. I read some of the other reviews on this place and if it wasnt in an airport I would have rated it a 3. But compared to the other options at BWI this would be my choice. I got my food to go as I was against the clock to grab a flight and the girl at the counter Ky really did a great job of getting me in and out with food so I didn't miss boarding. I cant comment on the interior as I didnt go past the pre made food. I would go back next time I am in BWI. read more

We ordered only the crab cake since Baltimore is famous in crab cake. They were the only restaurant that we bumped into that made crabcake. It was surprisingly good, it filled with over 90% of crab meat with a very thin batter. I would have given 5 stars if it's less oily and less salty. It's worth to try thou. read more

Had a long layover. SWA gate agent recommmended this place. She was right on point! Great quick attentive (but not cloying service from 'Willie'. He was well informed, helpful, and happy (!) a good deal better than simply pleasant! The Power breakfast was perfect for me. It came out piping hot which barely helped to keep it warm enough as the entire restaurant was a bit cold....even for MY taste! read more

For what it is (an airport restaurant), this place was great. I've only been once, but my meal (lemon chicken piccata) was good. Everything was seasoned well and the portion was pretty standard. The food came out a bit slow but the waiter was fast and even brought me the check with my food and took payment quickly so I could make my flight. read more

Male hostess constantly wandering around diner instead of actually seating people. Shouldn't have to wait more than a minute when half full. Country fried steak with eggs was pretty good for airport food although service was a little slow. Not enough gravy though, barely enough to cover the steak. Never did get my drink refilled. read more

If there's 2 of you, you can't get a booth if you're only drinking - which is ironic because you can easily spend more money on drinks than food. It's a diner so you can expect weird music requested by people on the table side juke boxes. I'd skip the place for bad customer service read more

The service was slow. The flat iron steak was over cooked the burger was mediocre and overall I felt the food was meh. For a sit down place charging $15 for a hamburger I expect something considerably better than you can get from the McDonald's. The upside: everyone was polite. read more

What a nice surprise to find a good restaurant at an airport. The concept of organic and locally grown food is a surprising one at an airport. I loved it and I loved that they were trying to be a little different. I will definitely stop back on my next time through. read more

The food here was awful I would have got fast food if I knew the food would be that bad. Bruschetta was literally toast with feta cheese (wrong cheese) and some weird chunks of tomato mixed with some sort of green pesto. All of the food was really bad do yourself a favor and go somewhere else this was my first yelp review and I just had to after that awful food. Garbage, basura, trash, gross! read more

The food was okay, but nothing special. Service was quick and my order was good. Customer next to me ordered a Caesar Salad and got a Citrus salad, so not everything is perfect. Note that draught beer is pretty expensive here. It *is* and airport eatery. Sit at the bar for the quickest service and most attention, the floor staff are almost always stretched too thin. read more

I gave this place 5 stars because you can't ask for more in an airport. As someone who travels more than anyone I know, I have had my fair share of airport dining options. I got here just as they opened for breakfast and was greeted nicely. My sever was fabulous, got my nit-picky order correct. Omelette was a good size. Prices are decent, about $10 for a 3-egg omelette with a biscuit and home fries. Got my food at the table about 5 minutes after the order was put in. There are power outlets at many of the booths, which is a huge bonus! read more

Very big place plenty of tables and nice place to sit and chat if you have a while to wait for your flight. Very expensive for what it is though in my opinion. Our server was john who was very nice attentive and perspicacious. The atmosphere was retro diner with nice music and a juke box at the table to select a song for 25 cents. The ketchup said it was organic and there's a place to hang your coat by your table. My burger was good, not worth 10 bucks though, I'd be happier if it was around 6. My wife had Baja fish tacos which she said was not good and the salad was too sweet with too much dressing. read more
