This is a review that I should have posted back in 2015, and updated it with a every year since. The rating is on two counts; the Quality and strength of the COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS prepared and served, AND the service staff who deliver drinks throughout the casino, especially to the tables. We spend a lot of time at various casinos and NO ONE tops the quality of the Tequila Mary's served here. I'd REALLY like to know about your mixer, is it house made or pre-prepared, because it's just the right blend. Oh and it's not JUST the free drinks... with the wide open ceiling, the large selection of spirits, friendly service and the strong pours? A great place to "set a spell"

"Every bad situation waiting to happen is a blues song!" Amy Winehouse Happy is that pulse and best of the guitar, the bass that taps your foot. The drum roll from behind the lead singer. As the band plays live to you. As the lights go up the guitars grab your attention, let them pull you in. Sit and stay for a while. The local talent gets shown here for all of Reno to see. We happened to be guests of the hotel but as the sun goes down the blues of the night eclipsed us. We found ourselves here. The stage is small but close your eyes and feel the vibes that the band is laying down. Now the host band has to primarily play tunes you know they will squeeze in their own tracks of music too. The next great could be playing for you. Small is best shared by you and a small audience. Each night we visited this little bar is packed, sometimes just standing room only. Sway along as the band plays and excites you. Sing and dance along if you want. The night is yours go grab it. The bar is open here with all the liquid libations that are to your offering. If your a smoker you can have a few tokes of nicotine and not invade on anyones air. Actually this is the only bar that you are able to "smoke" in in this area. Just an FYI of course. As the music plays get up and dance. Or sit back in the chair and let the sounds of music go deep into your soul. Music brought us into this little place, and has brought us back here each and every night. Into the wee hours of the morning: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights showcase bands from around the local Reno stage. Get out and support your local music scene. You will not be able to contain yourself. As the band plays some of their favorites you can sing along too. They showcase their own talents too! We were so pleased with the amazing memories we took away from here.

A small bar in the Silver Legacy upstairs with what you expect. It has high prices on most items. Silver Baron also has a happy hour where you can have cheaper times. Basic place with not much going on. They have some local bands perform. It has a happy hour. Sunday to Friday it's $3 specials. These are for well cocktails and wine. Choose from fume and merlot. The drinks other times are incredibly overpriced. Basically nothing special about it to recommend except for the happy hour. This is the only time worth it to check it out. Also has a tiny dance floor. It has local bands perform often. These bands are mostly terrible.

Rotating live music, no cover charge. Come on. If ya don't like it, go, like it, stay. Gamble at bar tops. Sit, enjoy your drinks! Enjoy!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like Icarus or Hermes Talaria rocking a Covid mask!. Lmao how funny. I'm sure it's been done before but not in this ancient type of Greek fashion. Let me tell you about the Silver Baron downstairs in the Silver legacy Casino On an off night you can find yourself enjoying comped drinks while you play video poker or Keno. You'll hear today's and yesterday's top 40 music while the popular evenings sports games play on multiple TV screens. Now on a weekend ,holiday or a special event. You'll find the entire venue packed. FReee to get in, no dress code, Live music, drinks pouring , people laughing ,singing and dancing! A very nice place to have a good time. For the upscale and more mature. 5 stars for the decor, live music and cleanliness. Best regards to anyone that reads this and experiences what I'm writing about. Enjoy!

    Great live band. Decoy

It's a casino bar. It's tucked under the giant mine head in the Silver Legacy. A good sized bar with fair casino drinks- there are better spots in the area for martinis. But they offer live bands on the weekends for free. There is also a small dance floor that allows 4-5 couples to dance at a time. Sometimes the music from the upstairs bands competes with the one here. And on the hour the thunder and lights from the mine rumble over the band. Still a good spot to hangout for a couple of hours to catch a local band.

I have visited this establishment on many occasions over the years and had realized I had not rated it before. This bar is exceptional in its service. The gentlemen in the photo has served my party and I on many occasions. He's made Micheladas, Moscow Mules and Lemon Drops. This place never disappoints. It's always an exceptional experience. I love this place. I've been visiting for years. Stop and say hello to Jose.

It was low enough key for us yet still fun, it was packed and we first sat on a corner edge by the fire the only seats open and it was overwhelmingly HOT by the fire even though the ambiance is lovely. We got super lucky when a couple of ladies left before the countdown so we moved to a table. It was still decorated like Christmas inside and it was super cute. We all LOVED our drinks mine was like a boozy (honestly was there even booze in it lol) milkshake and I tried my friends, one was a special holiday drink "sugar plum fairy" which was sweeter and yummy and other friend got a baileys based martini also very yummy. I can't remember exact names but see pics haha. Really made me wanna come back for that milkshake drink sooner than the once a year or every two years I prob make it in here. For the Older crowd.

So, after dinner he wanted to take me to this fancy Fireside Lounge for drinks after dinner. It was hella hard to find, but we did finally. It's near the Italian place called Romanza. It's supposed to be like the old school fireplace lounges the Peppermill restaurants used to have. I don't think there's any Peppermill restaurants around anymore, just this casino. My friend told me all locals get 20% off at any of the restaurants, so that's kinds cool. Inside this lounge, it's really on the dark side and there's lots of soft puffy couches and love seats. If you wanted a dark booth to make out in, this is the place! There's nice seating around the gas fireplace if you want, but those seats go fast on busy nights. I thought the music was kinda loud, but that might just be me. I don't think there's much food served in here, just fancy drinks before the making out starts! They have there monster big bowl drinks to share like a Scorpion, I think full of rum and other stuff. That thing's gonna be a headache in the morning! It was fun staying for a round of drinks, we got one of the darker booths ... you know for making out! Check it out, if you can find the lounge!

A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail. The prices are reasonable, too. Definitely worth the visit.

What a major local gem in Reno. It only took one visit for…read moreme to become a fan of this coffee shop/bar in Midtown. You can tell that a lot of thought and heart went into the place. The decor, the entertainment, the products all struck a chord with me. On one side - a super cute pour over/loose leaf tea shop with some records for sale. On the other - a cute bar and lounge area equipped with a vinyl player (Bring one in on a Monday for them to play). You have some house pants, checkered floors, and cool vinyl covers all over the walls that make for some great & hip atmosphere and vibes. Their restrooms, though small, and clean and cool. Their pour overs are so flavorful, strong, and made with beans grounded on your visit. I love that they're flavored and sweetened in a way that allows the coffee to shine. If you're into sweeter drinks, ask for a bit more sweetner or add in a brown raw sugar packet yourself from the straw station. I hear their chocolate pour over is a hit. Matchas - prepared in a similar fashion. Slightly sweetned with subtle flavorings. I tried their carrot cake matcha today and really enjoyed the housemade syrup they used to flavor it with. I also love that they offer loose leaf teas. Their chai was nice, fragrant and great with a little sweetner and milk. Shelby over at the bar area was sooo patient with explaining their menu and suggested a isla bonita pineapple shrub drink for a non alcoholic option. Similar to their other drinks on the coffee side, it was tamed in sugar yet still fun and flavorful. I really enjoyed the tang from the apple cider and the spice from the tajin chili powder as a contrasting flavor. Double check their website for bar and coffee shop hours as they differ from one another. And follow them on Instagram for updates on seasonal specials & themed gatherings. A lot of cool local DJs spin here for special events and parties during the holidays. Tip: sit next to the pour over station next to the menu. It's so entertaining, especially with Sydney working the station (thanks so much for the chat and entertainment. Honestly one of the friendliest baristas I've ever met in Reno). Both bars are set up in a way that allows for meeting others and socializing. Check it out. It's a good time. Notes *Catch live jazz music on Wednesdays here for free. *free street & neighborhood parking *bagels & cream cheese available at the coffee shop *they have fun with their seasonal drink specials. I dig it.
