We went here to see the comedian KVon, as I like to see him when he is in town. I appreciate the locals discount here, which has been going for over a decade. It was a Friday night when we went and we still could get the discount. For two tickets it was about 56$. The area is small and intimate. You sit pretty close to the comedian. We didn't love the openers, but the headliner was great. He is light hearted and more clean, but not over the top yuck or raunchy or vulgar. I'll keep coming back to the laugh factory. We had tickets from a long-ago pre-COVID raffle win that the hostess was nice enough to honor them. The last show we saw here was weird, the 2 openers were great, but the headliner was...off. Not funny, fell flat, strange demeanor, just OFF. I'm really glad we came back, because this time was great! Funny, engaging openers, and the headliner this particular evening was Craig Shoemaker, and he was hysterical! This is a fun, small intimate venue for a variety of talent. Saw Bill Dawes headline and the club is a hidden gem in downtown Reno. Who knew they had such talent. I'm writing bc the show I went to was almost ruined by a heckler but Bill Daws handled it and recovered and made it a great show. Staff was great and the other skits were great too! The rating is on two counts; the Quality and strength of the COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS prepared and served, AND the service staff who deliver drinks throughout the casino, especially to the tables. We spend a lot of time at various casinos and NO ONE tops the quality of the Tequila Mary's served here. I'd REALLY like to know about your mixer, is it house made or pre-prepared, because it's just the right blend. We happened to be guests of the hotel but as the sun goes down the blues of the night eclipsed us. We found ourselves here. The stage is small but close your eyes and feel the vibes that the band is laying down. Now the host band has to primarily play tunes you know they will squeeze in their own tracks of music too. The next great could be playing for you. Small is best shared by you and a small audience. Each night we visited this little bar is packed, sometimes just standing room only. Sway along as the band plays and excites you. Sing and dance along if you want. The night is yours go grab it. The bar is open here with all the liquid libations that are to your offering. If your a smoker you can have a few tokes of nicotine and not invade on anyones air. Actually this is the only bar that you are able to "smoke" in in this area. Just an FYI of course. As the music plays get up and dance. Or sit back in the chair and let the sounds of music go deep into your soul. Two stars because It's a nice intimate space, and the middle comic was funny. I sit down, and the server takes my drink order. me, and half of the room, never get our drinks, because they only had one server working the entire room. Fortunately, they had tiny bottles of water on the tables, but I wanted more than just a bottle of water. A lot of the people were not happy. I don't remember the name of the emcee or the middle comic. The middle comic was funny. The emcee, and the headliner, (John Caponera) were not funny., I could hardly understand them, because they were screaming their entire set. What I did understand, every other word was an "F bomb,", said there were plenty of jokes about urination, defecation, oral/anal sex, Etc.... Etc.... Etc..... And for this, I wasted almost 50 bucks with service fees for the ticket? Thanks.... read more

A small bar in the Silver Legacy upstairs with what you expect. It has high prices on most items. Silver Baron also has a happy hour where you can have cheaper times. Basic place with not much going on. They have some local bands perform. It has a happy hour. Sunday to Friday it's $3 specials. These are for well cocktails and wine. Choose from fume and merlot. The drinks other times are incredibly overpriced. Basically nothing special about it to recommend except for the happy hour. This is the only time worth it to check it out. We were there last night to see Dante and his wife Rebekah. They are a great comedy team. Dante about killed me with the Irish joke. Erin go Bragh! My friend!. Oh, and duct tape ain't got nothin on hundred mile an hour tape! Oooh Rah! Anyway the two of you rocked the house! That dude Michael Nish? Not so much. He just doesn't have what it takes to connect with the audience. He got a few laughs but man I think most of that was just pity. Our server worked his but off to get our drinks out to us as quickly as possible despite there being a catastrophe in the kitchen. By the way, thank you for your service to our country man. It's OK and pretty much what I expected - and my expectations were not terribly high. I have been here before to have a drink before going to a show and I think the mixed drinks are subpar. The last time we came was to hear a friend's band. They have live music on weekends and there is no cover charge. Since the space is small it is a really intimate venue and it really facilitates a lot of interaction between performers and patrons. I had a glass of the house white wine and it was pretty bad. I asked them to add a lot of ice and add club soda to make a spritzer. That helped. The bartender was very gracious about doing that for me. It was fun to sit and listen to a couple of sets, the chairs are comfortable and the waitress makes the rounds frequently for refills. This would not be my first choice for an evening out on the town, but for a casino bar and pretty good live music, it is a solid A-OK. read more

It's a casino bar. It's tucked under the giant mine head in the Silver Legacy. A good sized bar with fair casino drinks- there are better spots in the area for martinis. But they offer live bands on the weekends for free. There is also a small dance floor that allows 4-5 couples to dance at a time. Sometimes the music from the upstairs bands competes with the one here. And on the hour the thunder and lights from the mine rumble over the band. What do you expect from a casino bar? Well this place personifies it to me. Multiple entrances, bronze statuary, a 4th rate band, high priced drinks, a dark and kinda decrepit looking area. The only thing missing is some weird creeper types. The douches and skanks are ready to help you get taken advantage of as well. But otherwise it's a purrrrrfect place for a casino. Last night when I was there, a couple of young ladies were taking photos with the bronze statue. What made it brilliant was that it was about 11:30pm and these two girls were drunk, I hope. One was taking photos showing her tossing the statues salad. Or that is what it looked like. In addition there was another shot of her trying to kiss the statue on the lips. Meanwhile the band was playing some weird stuff and the lounges was full. If I didn't now any better I would think that everyone there was a lounge lizard. read more

I never really hang out at the silver legacy when I am in Reno but this were downtown we decided to stop by the silver legacy that might. This lounge is located downstairs on the main casino floor next to the nightclub that silver legacy added. The lounge is rather small but a good side to fit several tables, a small dance floor, a small stages, and a bar. I was here on a Saturday night and it wasn't super busy but it wasn't empty either. The band that was playing that night was pretty good and did a pretty good job keeping people engaged. They played the audiences requests for songs and that really had them going. There was a bar tender going around making rounds on the floor and was pretty good at refilling drinks promptly. Overall a good spot to have a drink and relax a bit before starting up the gamble rage again! read more

We came here to take advantage of the coupons we were given at the silver legacy hotel. we were entitled to have two cocktails for the price of one, and I got two Irish coffees. I loved them ... both! ;) the Irish coffee comes with a yummy sweetened whipped cream on top which after tasting just a little of, I stirred it in the warm coffee/whiskey mix, and then let the magic happen! the coffee was nice and creamy, tasty, and neither the whiskey, nor the coffee did not overpower each other. There was live music, and to tell the truth, the music was a little too loud for me (hence the four stars), but I enjoyed the music. The chairs are comfortable, and it's a nice little place to sit with friends, and grab a couple drinks. you can also have more private conversations here with the person next to you as the music is so loud, no one else will hear you! read more

Rating: 3.5 stars. Nice place to lounge and grab a drink or two when you are you in the Reno area, or the Silver Legacy Casino. Sometimes they have live bands playing where they sing mash ups of oldies and some of the trendy newer songs as well. You will see tons of older folks getting up to dance and maybe even try to drag the younger folks to get up and shake their asses as well. It's great to have a buy one get one free coupon on drinks here when you receive it from the hotel. The staff is nice and friendly and try to be quick on the service. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit and lounge when there is a band playing. Otherwise, this place, like said, is a cool spot to get a drink or two and walk around or stay to check out the live performances depending on how good they are. read more

I just feel like this is another home for me! I have unofficially decided to be a voice for us older Yelpers who still feel and act like they are in their 20's. I'm not saying that I only see senior citizens with their walkers here, but I feel like it does set itself up nicely for the middle age and older crowds who like a great evening of classic rock and roll! Most definitely you will find that here. Of course the band rules the night, and I've been there where I really didn't need table and chair because you can't get me off the dance floor and nights where they just can't reach your groove thang so you enjoy the people and atmosphere around you. Their dance floor is somewhat small, the tables fill up fast, but this is the first place that comes to mind when I feel the need for musical self expression! Prices for drinks are not a great deal compared to Brew Brothers or other bars around the area but its a quiet lounge where you can just enjoy a chat with friends or people you meet. I used to call this place Hooker Lounge back in the day when prostitutes would trawl for johns at casinos. With the Great Recession, you don't see too many of those in Reno, and with Safari Club going to Vegas, you may never see them again. They have live music here, the old casino lounge act kind, 70's stuff. It's all open to the casino floor with some partitions so it's not a real cozy lounge like Cin Cin at Eldorado. The bar is always full. Limited beer selection but I believe Sam Adams on tap. You can grab a seat at one of many tables or the couch in back. The waitresses are pretty prompt and sometimes hot. Great place to just take a break from the clubs at like 2 AM after the band stops playing, shreaking. Mostly a middle-aged crowd that I guess like 70's music because they grew up in the 70's. We love live music, so we love this cozy little open bar at the base of the tower in the middle of the Silver Legacy indoor mall. Service can be a bit slow, but the place always pulls people in. We've seen a number of cover bands/solo acts play there, and they've all been very talented musicians. So talented, in fact, that it amazes me that they're willing to play there. There's a small dance floor to the side, which is probably the only suitable place for it. Sit back, order a couple drinks, enjoy the music, and tip the band and your waitress.
