From the moment we walked in, Silo Brunch Bar had such a great vibe -- welcoming, cozy, and full of amazing smells that made it really hard to decide what to order (in the best way possible). We tried a little bit of everything -- the shrimp and grits were rich and flavorful with just the right amount of kick, and the Pig in a Bowl was next-level comfort food. Seriously, every bite was perfection. And of course, we couldn't resist the fresh mimosas -- bubbly, fruity, and just what brunch calls for. The staff was super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they take pride in the food and the atmosphere. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. We've been here a couple of times now and it's been delicious. Weekends can be crowded so prepare to wait, no reservations. They have an assortment of brunch, breakfast and lunch options. A great selection of alcohol based drinks as well as regular drinks. We seem to average around $40 - $50pp. Service has been friendly and efficient. We were seated right away at a high top around 10-15AM on a Sunday. There was a good crowd in there, but I'd definitely recommend a regular table if you have the option. Their high tops aren't really comfortable. The food was delicious! We started off with the apple strudel sharing plate - very sweet but so delicious! The pastry was warm and flaky with just enough apple filling! I had the farmers omelet - loaded with meats! Husband had the steak breakfast sandwich and said it was delicious. We ordered five different dishes, hoping for variety and balance, but unfortunately every plate missed the mark either excessively salty or overwhelmingly sweet, with nothing hitting a pleasant middle ground. The ambiance was loud, and we were crammed in shoulder-to-shoulder like sardines, which made it hard to enjoy any kind of conversation or comfort. Service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter never checked in on us once, and it took multiple tries just to get his attention for simple things like napkins. When I finally asked another staff member for help, she looked visibly irritated just for having to relay the request. I still tipped the expected 20%, because let's be honest it feels mandatory now but this was more of a 5% experience at best. I genuinely don't understand how this place stays in business. My first experience at Silo was mid, as the youths say. My husband and I arrived at 12:25, and by 12:50 still had no water. The table to our right was seated after us but served before us. The drink menu is vast and varied and I enjoyed the white mocha when it finally came. My husband got the campfire cold brew and it wasn't good. It tasted like chicory, which I guess would be okay in coffee if you were expecting it. I got the veggie omelette and my husband got the vegetable garden bowl. This menu is very meat heavy and there are limited options for vegetarians. Vegans, I am not sure how you'd eat here. The omelette was good, but the vegetables weren't incorporated into the eggs, just heaped in the middle. Not terrible, but for $15 you'd think your omelette would be out of this world. The crispy hash browns were delicious, and the sourdough toast a bit overcooked. The portions are large and I was full for a long time after eating this meal. Our server was friendly and it's not her fault that the drinks and food took forever. We discovered Silo a year ago for brunch and returned tonight for happy hour drinks & a lovely dinner. I have wanted to try a Rochester garbage plate since I first heard of them, and this one did not disappoint. It was an upscale version of what you'd get at Stevie T's, with shoestring fries, mac & cheese, and two smashburgers covered in a flavorful spicy meat sauce, onions, and scallions. I did not defeat it but I did have to take a LONG walk afterwards. Definitely a sometimes food. Hubby had the Farmer's Omelet and was quite pleased with it as well! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY!! I am chronically ill and use a medical alert and response service dog to keep me safe and healthy. On August 8th, 2025 I went into Silo Brunch Bar for a date and was accompanied by my well trained service dog. My dog is in a close tight heel as we walk through the doors and goes straight into a down command while we wait for the host to seat us. She comes over and immediately asks for certification/paperwork which A.) is illegal to ask for and B.) doesn't exist in the USA. I politely explain this to her and explain that under the ADA she is allowed to ask 2 questions: 1.) is that a service dog required for a disability? Yes 2.) What tasks has he been trained to perform? Medical Alert and Response. She proceeds to seat us outside and my dog is not in a down next to my chair out of the way, being completely under control and starting to fall asleep. At no point was my dog disruptive, disobedient, or more than a foot away from me. While we look over the menus and have a nice conversation with an off duty employee that was admiring my dog, the manager soon makes his way over to our table. He was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. Demanding that I prove my dog is a service dog (which I've already told him what his tasks were and my dog hadn't done anything to discredit that he is a service dog). I again politely explain the laws and point him in the direction of ADA.gov website which he got even more rude and hostile saying he doesn't care about federal laws, he has a restaurant policy, and the he refuses to serve us because of my service dog. That is Discrimination.. my dog is here to keep me healthy and is no different from any other medical aid whether that be a wheelchair, oxygen tank, glucose monitor, etc. I depend on my service dog to keep me safe while I enjoy a beautiful date. The treatment I received from this establishment is absolutely disgusting, humiliating, and dehumanizing. I have filed a complaint with the D.O.J. and will be moving forward from there. No one should be treated how they treated me and if you have a loved one with a medical impairment or you yourself have one I do NOT recommend coming here. What they did was discrimination, illegal, and just flat out disgusting. I'm very disappointed in this restaurant, because I was looking forward to trying their food. Good to know they do not allow people with disabilities into their establishment. I have attached videos and pictures to show how my service dog behaves to show that there was absolutely 0 reason to kick us out besides that fact that I have a disability and am a service dog user. read more

Had brunch at Silo Brunch Bar for Mother's Day. Though the wait for a table was longer than anticipated, the staff continued to be upbeat and even joked each time they walked by when they called out the name of the next party. As one said, "you guys are this close". Can honestly say the wait was worth it. Immediately when we sat down someone came over to take our drink order and asked if we wanted to start with anything? Of course it had to be their freshly made cinnamon rolls. Kass our Waitress was fantastic; even though she was very busy, she continued to check on us to ensure we were all set or if we needed anything. She also took a few minutes to chat. I been here twice and my only disappointment was on the second visit they were having trouble with their liquor license. The pancakes are great and I don't even like pancakes. This place acts like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to eat here. We come here once a year to get together with family who we do not see very often. They won't allow more than two tables to be pushed together so our family has to be separated which defeats the purpose. Last year that was not an issue but they wouldn't seat us until every person arrived and one cousin was running late so the other 14-15 people had to stand around waiting. Not very customer friendly. Our waiter this year seemed very attentive and friendly so there is that. The food is nothing to get excited over. Next year we will find a more accommodating restaurant. read more

I came in with my family for brunch right when they opened and were seated immediately. We immediately loved how beautifully the inside was decorated, but were surprised at how loud they had EDM-style music playing at 8 am which was highly annoying. After looking over the menu for a bit, I ordered the smoked corned beef hash which is, 12-hour smoked corned beef brisket hash with mixed peppers, onions, potatoes, two poached eggs, buttered sourdough toast, and a side of hash browns. I was so excited for this as the corned beef hash is my favorite and so are poached eggs. As soon as I got my meal, I was not too keen on it as my toast was burned, but I dug in anyway. Immediately, I was hit with one of the worst flavors I have ever tasted. I was so shocked I spit it back on the plate. I was so confused as to what the taste was. I think the corned beef may have been rotten, or something was wrong with the seasoning. I had my mom try some, and she couldn't stomach it either. Our waitress was very kind and let me replace it with another entree. I decided to get the Belgian Waffle - Berry Patch in its place. The waffle itself was nothing better than your standard hotel breakfast waffle. I would not go out of my way for it, which was disappointing. First time visiting and I have to say I liked it. At the moment, they do not serve alcohol which was a little disappointing but hope to visit again. Loved the ambiance and decor of the place. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Loved the flavor of the hash browns not your typical bland hash browns. The Cronut French toast was not for me I guess I should have known when I ordered it that it would be a little oily for me. The lobster Benny was great. They did not skimp on the lobster the only thing that would have elevated this is if it came on the challah bread like it was supposed to. I will be going back to go through other items on the menu. The food took forever and some things were off but it was worth it in totality. The potatoes and sausage were surprisingly delicious. The lobster omelette was full of lobster. Some of the draw backs were my French toast seemed a little stale on the sides. The pan of cinnamon rolls didn't seem fresh out of the oven as it wasn't very hot. I would skip the sourdough bread for my toast and try something different next time. They also wouldn't let us pay for a side of chimichurri sauce that comes with another dish. They are new and trying to work out the kinks and that's why I'm giving them a pass for my food taking so long to come out. They currently are working on getting their liquor license . They have a lot of classics on their menu, but they have a lot of things we want to go back and try to like the breakfast sandwich , banh mi Benny and corn beef hash. I look forward to new businesses opening in Greece and was anxious to try the Silo Brunch Bar. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The restaurant itself looks great. Large space with plenty of seating. The blaring music was an instant turnoff. I'm sure on the weekend that's the vibe some brunch customers enjoy. However, on a Thursday morning, the majority of diners were older adults, and the music was a bit much. The food -- We ordered the cinnamon rolls for the table. They were okay-ish. Reminded me of the rolls that come in the tube you bake at home. One of my brunch companions ordered the avocado toast. There was a thin, watery smear of avocado, and the overall dish was so bitter it was inedible. I had the "chopped salad." It was definitely a salad, but there may be a disconnect on what a chopped salad actually is. The dressing was tasty, but other than that, the salad was unremarkable. My other companion had the berry French toast, and they enjoyed it. The prices -- Holy cow! The avocado toast was $15, a small latte $7, and omelets that range between $14 to $24?! With those prices, the local diners aren't in any danger of losing their breakfast customers to the Silo. I want the Silo to succeed. Unfortunately, they have some work to do to ensure future success. read more

Man! Not going to lie, but there was not much good food in this city until I came here! I was so excited and scared to try their shrimp and grits (I'm from the south) but boy was I surprised. It was the most delicious, creamy, and savory grits I've had in a long time! If you want some delicious brunch, please get the grits, one way or another. Service could use some help, maybe have more waiters during busy hours because we had to keep waiting for refills on drinks and checks. But the food was so good, I did not care lol. We tried Silo Brunch Bar this past Sunday. We found a bustling place with a gorgeous patio. The menu was creative and had too many wonderful things to choose from. We settled on starting with Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Frosting with a hint of lemon. It's initially surprising and very delicious. Don't think -- get them. For entrees, we went with the Lobster Omelet and the Lobster Benny to share. The omelet looked unassuming but once you cut into it, it had big, succulent pieces of lobster and a large helping of spinach and tomatoes. It was fantastic. The Benny was also great with perfectly poached eggs and a tasty sauce. Surprisingly delicious were the hash browns which rivaled the taste of the main, rather than a side component. Service was great and cheerful. Our only MINOR complaint was the OJ -- it tasted like from concentrate rather than fresh or quality we'd buy at home. It was in contrast with the quality of everything else. Again -- minor. We will definitely be back. What a fun place! read more

Just had brunch at Silo's...Do Not Waste Your Money! We showed up at 9am (not crowded), got our table and ordered. When the food came, everything was luke warm or just cold. Eggs Benedict was over done...hollandaise sauce was thick and without flavor, Chicken and Waffles (chopped baked chicken??) came with what was called sausage gravy...after two bites could eat it, tasted horrible! Their Silo plate...eggs were cold, and the pancakes were very dry and chewy, as for the Steak and Eggs (steak was tough and over cooked). Hash browns come with each meal, these were cold and was not expecting what we got ( little disk that would come with a kid's Happy Meal, and has for the sausage...no different than what you get on a egg biscuit. My son took his girlfriend there for a date. She has a service dog. They even requested to sit outdoors away from the crowd to accommodate others that may be allergic to the dog. They were sat and then before they ordered, they were asked to leave because of the service dog. The owner doesn't care that it was wrong, embarrassing for them and against the law. When asked why so long, was told there was a big party there. This is not an excuse. A restaurant should be able to manage a big party as well as the regular clientele if they know how to run a restaurant. While the Silo was not our intended meeting place, we ended up here when the other 'cafe' was too crowded and noisy. The place is relatively new, and as of today, does not yet have its NYS Liquor license. The staff was wonderfully accommodating, allowing us to sit at the table well beyond our meal-time as we focused on some work strategies. BUT the most important reason to write this.. is to honor the amazing food that we had. It was late-morning breakfast. We both had The Silo breakfast, (2-eggs- your choice of finish, hash browns, choice of meat and toast.) Both of us thought the breakfast was fantastic, we both loved the 'hash browns' which were small 'patties' almost like flattened tater tots, but the spice and flavor were amazing. The real highlight was the protein, we are both meat eaters, I had the Sage Sausage, she had the maple smoked bacon. Both wonderful. We also ordered and split a french toast with smoked brisket. They sat us at a table next to one of the big trees and the servers kept walking between the base of the tree and my chair which cause them to bump my chair every single time they walked bye. I had to try the lobster omelette. The lobster was good quality and a good amount in it but zero flavor along with the spinach, no seasoning at all. They had a hollandaise sauce on top. That was the only food on my plate with flavor so I asked for more and was able to eat. The hash browns were very crispy and good size but no seasoning on it at all. DD's hash browns have more flavor. My boyfriend got steak and eggs, he got a very tiny piece of low quality steak. They only have 2 options of bread for toast. Sourdough or rye.
