sorry to say, but this place seems to be struggling despite its corner location and pleasant interior. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and what came out was a sad little squished glorified hamburger bun interupted with a tiny egg, a bit of cheese, and a thin circle of sausage. Employee had zero clue what the different drip coffee offerings were, making my choice a chance of luck. I also ordered a coffee tote for the office. It was filled about 1/2 full, at best. With so many better options, no chance of going back. read more

I love it here. It's been a while since I've been in, but I've never had a bad meal or experience. They are friendly, there are so many options, the food is good, and there's even a drive thru! This time I had the Tuscan - egg and cheese with roasted red peppers and your choice of meat on focaccia or a bagel - on the Italian bagel, which was an asiago bagel with Italian seasoning on top. It was so flavorful! The Italian seasoning gave it a little bit of a kick. I only wish I had added cream cheese as well, but that's personal preference. My fiancee had an egg bagel toasted with Sriracha honey cream cheese and she said unfortunately the bagel tasted like it had been hanging out with other bagel flavors, but she would still come back. I also had a cappuccino that was delicious and super reasonably priced - everything was $14! It's difficult to only buy what you're coming in for since everything is homemade and well-made at that. read more

Most of the bagels are way too damn salty. The texture is fine and they look great, but the salt level completely overpowers everything else. It's tough to enjoy the flavor when all you taste is salt. Definitely needs improvement. read more

This is hands down the best bagel shop in Rochester. I've never enjoyed a "bagel sandwich" anywhere else, but I look forward to stopping here on Saturday mornings! In addition to the classic breakfast sandwiches options, they are always serving seasonal special bagel sandwiches that never disappoint. The house made cream cheese is also delicious. The drink menu is a little on the smaller side, but they offer basic ans seasonal drinks as well as frozen coffees which are essentially coffee smoothies. There's ample seating inside as well. A spacious cafe with a large breakfast and lunch menu on West Ridge Road. There is a wide selection of bagels here with many choices - butter, flavored cream cheese, egg sandwich, or just take a bag of bagels to go. Lots of non-bagel offerings including yogurt parfaits, cake slices, biscotti, giant pickles, and cold salads. Soho is set up for dining in, with cafe style tables in addition to comfy couches. There are even puzzle books if you want to stay a while. Parking is pretty easy, especially these days when there is less traffic in this plaza than there used to be. They also have a drive thru lane. I really like their egg and cheese sandwich, and their Jamaican coffee is the best I've had. They were struggling a bit this morning as their checkout system was down and they were using a notepad and calculator to cash people out. This slowed things down but the food is good and worth the wait. I tried a black Russian bagel which was almost like a pumpernickel everything with lots of seeds - so good! I'm not sure if this will be part of the regular bagel rotation but it was delicious. read more

This is the second time I have been to soho and the experience was as amazing as the first. I usually only end up getting bagels and they are The bagel are amazing. So many different types to choose. They are vey substantial in size and worth the price. They also make so many different cream cheeses. There is endless combinations. Our usual bagel spot doesn't do bagel sandwiches, so we happened upon this one after a recommendation from a coworker. This place is situated in a strip mall, has a drive through, ample parking, and large comfortable dining area. They have many bagel flavors--we had garlic, Italian, and a blueberry. The sandwiches were good, but could have used more filling in mine--my husbands seemed to have good proportions. We also had coffee which was very reasonably priced. Updating prior review. I have stopped numerous times now as I started craving the Low Carb Bagels! They usually have plain and everything low carb bagels available and both are amazing! The outside has a nice crust and inside soft and chewy - you would not know the difference between their other bagels. 1/2 Dozen $7 and worth every penny. I contacted Soho via social media about the nutrition facts and they were nice enough to pass them along to me. I use a nutrition tracking app and this is very helpful. I posted a screen shot of the nutrition info and hope that can help others as well. read more

Finally rolled back up to Soho after last years no bagels but plain incident. This time THEY ACTUALLY HAD BAGELS! Got an egg bagel, and a French toast bagel, both buttered. $2.25 each. The egg bagel was excellent. Nice and fluffy inside, with a perfectly cooked shell. The French toast bagel had a nice flavor, but was very hard and possibly overcooked. They were too skimpy on the butter on both bagels. Overall, an okay experience. Not bad and not mind-blowing. I'll be back again soon to try a few more flavors. read more

I visited Soho Bagel Cafe for a Yelp Elite event and I was very impressed! It was my kind of Sunday Funday! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The food spread was amazing! They had a corned beef breakfast bake which you can order from their catering menu. They had chicken salad wrap, which was pretty tasty. They had homemade coleslaw which was pretty delicious (and I don't even eat coleslaw). I liked the breakfast croissant sandwich with spinachy, and of course their bagel samples were amazing, especially with that garlic cream cheese. Their cinnamon buns were my favorite (and I don't even have a huge sweet tooth). They were delicate and the frosting was tasty without being overly sweet! I'd never been to SOHO before, so this was a GREAT First experience. I will definitely visit again and send all of my friends for their bagel needs in the meantime! I have tried this place twice- once inside and once through the drive through. Inside you have no idea what they have and the drive thru is a little better but seriously what cream cheese do you offer? I had a VERY unsanitary interaction at the drive thru that made me not want to eat my bagel until I saw someone else was handling my food. Will not be back. read more

Soho is one of those places that I have always wanted to try but for some reason never did. I have Been in the area so many times because I frequent other places in the plaza. Plus whenever I wanted a bagel I had my go-to place already. Bagels are one of those things where you always go-to the same place to get your favorite bagel. Kind of like Donut's. Well today I decided to try something different..mainly in part to a local flavor deal going on..Baker's dozen plus 2 tubs of cream cheese for 10 bucks. Not bad right? Right off the bat my first impressions were kinda bad. I am used to my bagels being hot when I go in the morning to my usual place. When I was a handed the bag I could tell these were room temp. But I decided to not let that sway my overall opinion...and I will say the bagels themself did not seem old or from the day before. In fact they were super delicious. Not to soft, not to hard...with a nice chewyness to them. Perfectly baked to the point where I did not feel I had to put it in the toaster. The everything bagel(which is one of my favorites) was as good as the bagel I get from my usual place. I paired it with Bacon Scallion cream cheese...Heaven. The Multi-grain Bagel( I tried because other yelpers raved about it) was probably the best Multi-Grain bagel I ever had. Pairs lovely with the honey walnut cream cheese. A must try is the French Toast bagel. Not sure how they did it but it smells and tastes like french toast...with maybe a slightly more subtle french toast flavor. Again shout-out to other yelpers who already tried and reviewed it. A Groupon of sorts brought me in...but the flavor and quality of Soho Bagel Cafe will keep me coming back...Still can't believe I waited this long to try them! read more

Oh. My. Gawd!! I've never been to Soho before because it's 30 minutes away. But I had one of their untoasted bagels at a catered event and it was so great I decided to go get some of my own. They were so chewy in the best way, not like the bread textured bagels I loathe. Well I love my bagels extra toasted then with both butter and light cream cheese, so I brought a dozen home and did exactly that. My first bite I gasped and said "These remind me of Manhattan Bagels. Do you remember them? I used to LOVE those!" So airy and crispy and chewy! So I looked up "what happened to Manhattan Bagels?" and omg I found an article that said "Soho bagels, formerly Manhattan Bagels." IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! I haven't had one in like 20 years but I still remember that bite. Anyhoo these are some fantastic bagels, I will def go again soon. We came here for a Yelp event, and we're so glad we did. The garlic herb cream cheese is amazing, and my husband loved their chicken salad wrap. You absolutely have to try one of their cinnamon rolls!!! I am a frosting girl, and the frosting is SO GOOD!!! I could just eat it all by itself! It's worth a trip just for that frosting! If you go on Tuesdays, they are 4 for $10. Their prices are also very reasonable, there's free wifi and parking is really easy. Let me start by saying that I have been a long time customer that will not be back after today's experience with MIKE SPANO!! 1st- upon approaching the bagel counter, there were 4 workers back there and not 1 stopped to look up and say hello itll be a moment- so after 5min I had to say hello is someone ready to help me?? Where then a young man looked and said yeah in an annoyed way, but still walked away to grab a headset and battery before beginning my order.. 2nd- I walk over to the coffee counter (which is strange to have to order food and drinks in two separate areas) and the polite young man that ive talked to many times informs me that there is no coffee made right now. So I walked back to the bagel counter to get my food, at this time Mike Spano is making a list of what is needed in the food area, so i said to him you actually need coffee made, he gave me a really nasty look and said there is, i told him actually there isnt as I just tried to order some, he then yells at the guy at the coffee counter to make some, i told him i didnt have time to wait for it to brew and that a bagel shop should have coffee ready to go, he gave me another nasty look and said whatever, thats when i told him instead of saying whatever to a customer, he could have said your right coffee should be made and sorry for the inconvenience. Well look no further for Rochester, NY SoHo Bagel is the go to place for benchmark bagels. There are over a dozen choices of bagels of fresh baked to choose from and the cream cheese is all home made! Besides the normal flavors like plain, strawberry, etc you have custom flavors like Maple Bacon or Oreo to name a few. We were in bagel heaven! Overall lots of choices, an awesome coffee and espresso bar selection and different sandwich selection. The place has good bagels but poorly managed. You can hear employees complaining in background when you call an order in. Waited at drive through window for over 10 minutes before being acknowledged (even saw employees through window) I must have been invisible! Even tried to call to let them know I was there and they didn't answer!! Then the man brought my order to window, said "Hi Pooch" to my dog who had head sticking out of window and didn't even offer a dog bone (which are sitting at the window in glass jar) Not impressed at all! Just awful! The employees were rude and the food was a waste of money. I was greeted at the counter with "Whadda want." My toasted bagel came out barely warmed and looked like it had been balled up before hitting the plate. I watched my iced Chai latte being made, which was basically an entire glass of milk with something, I don't know what, added. It certainly wasn't Chai. It tasted like coffee with cinnamon sprinkled on it and ended up in the trash. My suggestion next time you want a bagel - be kind to yourself and make that trip to Balsam Bagels! read more

I'm giving Soho Bagel Cafe a five star review because they deserve it. For a while I was a regular patron of the cafe.. I worked for a business across the street and would order from them frequently. I participated in their rewards program and earned several free lunches. The ingredients there are always fresh & top quality. Beefsteak tomatoes, leaf lettuce. Fat-free dressings for their many various sandwiches, made with premise baked rolls and bagels. Soho Bagel Cafe is a unique destination and a welcome change from the Paneras & Brueggers of the world. While I no longer work on the west side fo town, I know that there's a place I can count on for a quick & healthy meal. All I can say now is that Colies Cafe better watch out!
