Always very professional and very caring ladies. It is a real treat to find a 'no pressure' salon. I now make monthly appointments!!! Look no farther than this neighbourhood gem. read more

Silky Touch Esthetics - barbara - Eyelash Service Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

I was looking for a new eyebrow place in the area and came across Silky Touch. The person working there said she could not wear a mask while threading my eyebrows since she has the hold the thread with her teeth - I said I was ok with this but keep this in mind if you aren't comfortable with this! Before I could tell her how I liked my eyebrows shaped she started. The service was quick and minimal in pain but I definitely wasn't happy with how she had done my eyebrows - they were uneven, way too thin on the ends, and she had missed hairs under my brow as well. The cost was $10 so I paid but will not be returning and wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone who wants eyebrow threading done either read more

Amazing service. Amazing prices. Never have to wait long. Consistently great results. Been coming here ten plus years and always leave happy. My kids are treated so well while they wait for me. Highly recommended. Staff are friendly and provide a great sense of community and appreciation of their clients. read more

Something that blows my mind is how some people get their eyebrows threaded downtown for $20 or more...let me ask you 1 question... WHY OH WHY put yourself through that nonsense!!?? At Silky Touch, its a whopping price of FIVE DOLLARS. They do such an amazing job for a price that can't be beat! My sister and I come here all the time and the ladies are always very friendly. Also the whole experience from start to finish takes on average 10 minutes at most. Quick. Easy. Painless. and always a job well done. I'm always V-happy with how they follow the natural shape and thickness of my brows! I never have to worry :) -- and for that reason, I will happily keep coming back! read more

Seema is the best eyebrow specialist we have ever used in Vancouver! In fact when we are away for a while we do not go anywhere even if we look hairy!! As we dont trust anyone else with our brows. My daughter and i have very different eyebrows textures yet we both come out feeling like goddesses and that at a very very good price of $10. Thank you Seema! read more

I have been going to Seema to get my eyebrows done for well over 10 years now. I have moved out of Van a few times and tried other ppl but always end up going back to Silky Touch and Seema. They also provide excellent mani's and pedi's, reasonable prices as well. Excellent service! read more

Great value, nice atmosphere - I really like the quality of services and the owner Seema, is very nice. I have had my brows and lashes tinted there many times, you walk in without an appointment and it's super fast. It was recommended by a friend who has her brows tinted and threaded, I tried the threading, but I found it made my brows to perfect, I like a bit more natural look, so I just get them tinted now. I also have had laser there, it's excellent value as well and Seema seems to really know what she is doing. read more

I used to go here all the time for eyebrow threading because it was conveniently located, affordable ($5), and relatively professional. Now, I may look for a new place since they've raised their prices ($7) without any notice or signage. On my most recent trip, the place was packed and they rushed through my threading, missing more stray hairs than usual. They pestered me multiple times about whether I wanted my upper lip done, despite the fact that I've never gotten them done before and my "mustache" is virtually invisible. When I went up to pay, I was ambushed by the new price that surged in $2. They explained that the rent went up, but I find it unreasonable to raise 40% at once, and inconsiderate that they neglected to inform the customer beforehand. read more

They're great for threading, and I've never had a problem with the shape of my eyebrows. This last time, I got a manicure too but that was sub par. When putting on colour, they got it all over my fingers. I can to go in and clean them up after at home. The worst part, was when she was pushing back my cuticles and removing the dead skin, she pulled too hard and caused me to start bleeding. It hurt ridiculous amounts - at least during the rest of the manicure, she was careful to not irritate it more. Definitely won't be going back there for a mani. They get 4 stars only because of their threading, otherwise, its pretty meh. Walk ins are welcomed. When I was there it was really busy. May be the reason behind the carelessness. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I went there to get my eyebrows threaded, and I told the girl, "I don't want my eyebrows any thinner, I just want them cleaned up." Well, to my delight, when I sat up in my chair, not only were my eyebrows half the size they were before, one of my arches was missing. This girl took my arch completely off my right eyebrow, so it was one thin round eyebrow. Needless to say, I did NOT pay for the diservice they did to my eyebrows. I'm going to be bringing my receipt for the eyebrow pencil and powder I'm going to have to buy now to fix my eyebrows to SIlky Touch. DON'T GO THERE. read more

Seema did my fingernails and the other, older, esthetician did the first part of my pedicure; Seema applied the polish to my toenails. Polish application was careful and painless (I bleed a lot if my cuticles are nicked). This was my first time for a mani-pedi, and the results were excellent. If subsequent mani-pedis are as good, I'll be a regular. Parking lot was full, so I drove around the block and parked on the residential street one block to the east. A short walk to the shop. read more

I had an issue with Silky Touch last summer. I felt so uncomfortable how they were speaking their own language, and staring at me. The lady CLEARLY messed up my eye brows. You get what you pay for .. it was 8$ altogether plus I gave her a tip. I had to wait a month or so to grow my eyebrows, and went somewhere else. I had friends and family that had problems with Silky Touch messing up their brows, or how they speak their language making you uncomfortable. I will never come back here again!! read more

I always go to Seema for eyebrow threading and she does a perfect job every time for only $5. It's a little out of the way for me but absolutely worth it. read more

This place is amazing! I've been going to see Seema for years and highly I can recommend her good job.

Warning do not come here!!! Went in today and the lady made my eyebrows pencil thin. Completely ruined my natural shape and just time for grad portraits too! :( read more

Threading eyebrows cost $5.00, took 2 minutes and looked great. Giddy up!

I've been coming here for years to get my brows threaded. It's only $5 and they always do a great job! So glad they are in my neighbourhood.

The staff is friendly and professional, always greeting me with my name and smiles all around. They do give the best threading in town for the best price ... Always perfect! Fantastic facials (I've been to many spas and this is the best) and French pedicures are also a favorite of mine (along with the massage chair). The ambience is a bit lacking but this spa makes up for it in price and service! read more

I've always been super pleased with the results here. It's only 5 dollars for eyebrow threading, and most other places charge more than 5 times that. I'm in and out super quick and my eyebrows look fabulous. What more can you ask for? read more

I usually get my eyebrows done from here and as long as I explain what I want done I have no problems. I have experienced both ladies who shape eyebrows, Seema the owner does them best. She also doesn't try to perfect them when you need to grow them in. She always gives you the option of waiting to let it grow, or opting for a slightly different look. The waxing service is cheap but you get what you pay for. After a few visits I noticed my hair growth changing direction due to the method used. In addition, its never a very clean job. Might be due to the limited lighting in the room. The first few mani and pedi treatments were very good. Last few have been very rushed and not very clean. Last mani, I repainted and redid my cuticles. Would recommend for threading but for the same price you can get better waxing services and mani/pedi combos. read more

*CAUTION* If you are going to get your eyebrows threaded, only let Sima do it. I made the mistake yesterday letting someone else thread my eyebrows here and now they are SO THIN. I used to have nice thick, bushy eyebrows (in a good way) but now they look terrible. Even though it was $5 I now have to wait for them to grow back. read more

I am a regular visitor for their eyebrow threading services. Never had a problem with the shape or with them removing too much. I've also had a couple of manicures and pedicures here, and while I would have a mani here again, I would skip the pedi. Perhaps it's because my hands/nails are in pretty good shape and the mani is basically a glorified polish application, but I found it good quality. But the pedicure is also just a glorified polish application, and my feet need more help than that! I left still having rough patches on my heels. Boo. In summary, eyebrows = yay! Manis = woo! Pedis = boo. read more

I've been going to this place for over 4 years now to get my eyebrows done. They are very nice and friendly and the girls are always doing a good job. Plus the price is unbeatable! read more

Great staff and super cheap - but the quality isn't always great. I could never expect what my eyebrows would look like - too thin, too thick. The biggest problem I had with the eyebrow threading was that there was always a considerable difference in the shape of the two eyebrows. But at $5 it's not bad. Some of the women that do the threading are so good that you barely feel a thing, but it depends on who you get. read more

I've only been here once but that was enough to make me want to go back over and over again. The quickest and best salon visit for a Brazilian and eyebrow threading. Whole thing took around 30 minutes or less and the results were awesome! $5 for a quick and great looking eyebrow threading as well as the smoothest $30 Brazilian I've ever gotten. Best $35 I've ever spent for very good quality and service. I highly recommend coming here! read more

i always go to silky touch and they always do a great job and fast for $5. i recommend them to all my friends.

I get waxed and threaded at Silky Touch in Vancouver - I've tried other places but have always had problems with uneven eyebrows, or having them thinned out too much. Silky Touch has never caused a problem - excellent service! I"ve been going there exclusively now for the last 8 years. Awesome people, wonderful service! read more
