Just tried Noir Lash Lounge yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed their service! My lashes look so full and long and natural! I was concerned about looking like I had "doll eyes" but my technician, Kianna (sorry if I didn't get the spelling right) listened to what I asked for and delivered! I do think they are a bit pricey compared to the salon I normally attend, but that one is further away and Noir is more convenient for me to go. I don't plan to do lash extensions all the time, so I'm okay with the price. read more

I put a review on this website a month ago with one star. I mentioned i was overcharged and not happy. The owner, Paula, contacted me to see about making things right. Well after we chatted, there seemed to be an misunderstanding between her technician and myself with prices. She was very professional and refunded the portion of my bill that i had an issue with. I've been going Noir Lash Lounge on and off for the last two years. It had been since September for a full set. With some events and travel plans lined up I figured it was time to get into the routine again. I've figured out what Lash size I enjoy so it was a pretty straight forward start to my visit. I much prefer the beds at the North Van locale vs Yaletown. However I've mainly been a Yaletown client due to proximity. My biggest issue is that my left eye was swollen shut after this visit to lower lonsdale. The photo taken is from Sunday AM and you can still see visible swelling. It was also extremely itchy. I have had to take antihistamines. That being said my right eye is completely fine. I've also never had an issue before with the products. This makes me feel that my issue is mainly to do with the application vs product allergy. When I was done my technician did say something about how she had to Lash my left eye and to slowly open while sitting up. She was worried I had stinging. Didn't think much of it and was on my way. So now I'm not sure if perhaps she lashed to my actual eyelid or what. I'm giving it one more night but if it is swollen again after sleeping I'll have to go back and get it removed. Overall it has me rethinking the whole practice. It's been so uncomfortable and a swollen eye isn't the look I was going for. Especially since prices have gone up to workout to over 100 with tip. I think it's well worth finding a technician you like and sticking with them. They were training new gals for the holidays... but buyer beware at 100 bucks for a full set not all techs are alike. read more

I absolutely love this place and I always leave feeling like a princess.. I am going in this month to try the Carte Blanche set (more lashes applied = more volume). The beds/chairs are super comfy and they always offer a blanket to make you feel cozy and secure. I wish they had a monthly pass or something similar.. Having full lashes makes such a difference in how I feel and waking up looking amazeballs is worth the $$. read more

The receptionists here are brutal. They have never made any sort of effort to be polite, let alone pleasant and happy. They have always made me feel miserable and as though I am cutting into their internet surfing time. The technicians do a fine job, however. I appreciate the face masks they wear. Nothing worse than bad breath in your face for over an hour. Also appreciate the ladies room available to patrons, as opposed to Yaletown's unbearably uncomfortable environment with no access to a ladies room the entire time. read more

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they will only do 1 fill, then you need to get removal and another full new set. I would prefer to do a few fills for convenience. I really like getting my lashes done at Noir. I've been to other places but I found that this location is the best for me. I lost all my lashes a few years due to chemo and my left side never came back fully. With extensions my lashes look even and full. Most times I can just go out the door without any makeup. At first I was only coming for special occasions or just before a trip but now I'm hooked on wearing extensions everyday. I have had false eyelashes applied here for a special event but they only lasted me a few hours - not worth it. I usually get the full set extensions with pump up the volume added and they last me about 3-4 weeks. read more

Quality of lashes really depends on who your lash technician is. Not worth the money to have someone poorly apply your lashes and have them fall out after a week. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE , VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!! I came here a few times because it was convenient for me, very close to where I live. But last Monday I realized I'm just wasting my money for crapy service and damaging my eyes. On Monday I had the refill for my eyelashes , It was done really unprofessional when i got home i realized my lower lashes and my upper lashes have been glued together. It was hard to open my eyes.I used a thick stick to pull them apart and after a few attempts it worked. My eyes were burning so i had to close my eyes for half an hour. Then after that I went to look at my lashes and I realized 3 lashes are been glued on my upper eyelid not on the lash line. It looked so fake and terrible. The glue was too strong and it was hard to take them off. I didn't even go back here for removal. Went to another place and explained to them what they did. WASTE OF MONEY AND THEY BASICALLY DAMAGED MY EYES !!! few of my friends wanted to go here but I didn't recommend it to them and told them my experience. I have never been to Yaletown location but do not try the north van location. read more

I went to get a full set with faux mink for the holidays, came out slightly disappointed. My lashes don't look full, and make it look more sparse than my natural lashes with longer lashes spaced out and kind of in clumps. This is quite expensive to have what looks like a half done job. The lady doing my lashes was obviously sick, sniffling and event excusing herself to blow her nose whilst doing my lashes and not washes her hands after. read more

After getting my first set of eyelash extensions done, I can totally understand the hype. I booked my appointment at the Lower Lonsdale location due to convenience. They don't mess around here when it comes to lashes. The technician was incredible with her lash knowledge and chose the perfect length for my extensions. She also recommended what future services I could take advantage of based on my natural lash type, to enhance my look (I took her advice and promptly booked a classic fill + volume for next month). Overall I was super happy with how it turned out! So why the 4/5 stars? The day before my appointment, I was notified that my initial time would have to be rebooked due to understandable and unforeseen circumstances (I was totally flexible with this and had no issues with the rebooking). I was booked in for a Le Fling + Plump up the Volume service initially, but the specific technician who was now doing my service would only be able to do the Le Fling, without the volume add-on. Because it was my first time booking and to ensure that I'd still be happy with the services, it was agreed upon (by myself and the person who I was talking to on the phone), that the new technician would be able to add a few extra pieces of the regular extensions to achieve that "volume" that I was looking for. When came time for my appointment, I mentioned this to the technician and she wasn't notified of this and unfortunately had time to do a regular "Le Fling" service. It's not a huge deal really because I'm overall happy with the service, but I wanted to be transparent with this review as I know there may be clients who may be frustrated if they had experienced the same thing. read more

Ive had lashes done here a couple of times and i think it is ridiculous on how they make you do a new full set after one fill. I know that they say its because they want to make sure your lash line is clean and there are no new growth of bacteria but I'm sure it is just a way to make more money. I found my new lash place in downtown and they've been filling it 3 times already with NO irritations or "accumulated" bacteria. Needless to say i wont be coming here anymore because of that policy . read more

When testing their services for free at an event organized at the local Shoppers Drug Mart I was surprised by how much a difference eyelash extensions can make to one's appearance and how comfortable they could feel. I liked the idea of not having mascara smudged all over my glasses anymore, so I booked an appointment to get a half-set of extensions. I came back to the actual lounge the week after and the experience was surprisingly pleasant and relaxing. I also loved the final results. However, I felt that the eyelashes on my left eye felt different. I told the technician and she said she could not see anything wrong. Unfortunately, that night and then every day after that I would lose one lash after the other on that eye. When I was left with just one eyelash I felt it would be silly to go back and ask to get a new half-set on that eye for free. Also, I did not have the time to get another appointment. After two weeks, they were nearly all gone on both eyes. I hoped saving on mascara by having extensions, but considering the cost and how short they stay on, I felt like I just had thrown money by the window because of my vanity. I might get extensions again in the future, for a special event, but next time I will try to go back to the spa as soon as I feel something is not normal. read more
