Ambiance is great too, front desk is always helpful. I'd recommend finding a good person and then this is your place.

They provide you with a blanket if you're cold, and their seats are pretty comfortable. Not to mention that the interior of the shop is super cute and it's clean. Anyways, I definitely recommend this place. Worth it for the time, worth it for the price, worth it for the lashes.

I do daily yoga and other workouts which mean I also shower a lot so I know that can be stressful for lashes. I also know from my numerous lash experiences from studios in Vancouver and LA that our lash cycle can be leave us lashless when we least expect it. I told Heather this and she was patient and took her time doing my classic refill. She basically was filling 75 percent of the lashes that fell out . It took a little longer than I was used to and my eyes stung for an entire day after. I believe that the weather also influence the dryness of your skin( in LA this was never a problem...). Heather's work was accurate, precise, patient, and full. I can tell she love lashes and she took her time on each lash as I was drifting into a slumber. The girls here seem very sweet, genuine, and dedicated to their craft. When I was there, the technician next to me was giving her customer tips on lashcare. I learned new things about lash care so ask your tech! Lashes are addictive and high maintenance ( be committed to be diligent about taking care of them) , they are so fun to flutter !

I have to say I periodically get my lashes done, and the staying power and the natural fall of the lashes were unbeatable to any place I've been to! I explained what I wanted to the technician which were natural lashes but thicker. Usually I would get super volume or very little volume and I ended up regretting getting my lashes done. My lashes would usually fall awkwardly. However, the technician was very skilled and was able to do exactly what I wanted. It looked natural but with some oomph in it. They were also faster with their application! The environment was clean and modern. I really enjoyed my experience and I would recommend everyone to get quality lashes here! They are on the pricier side (dt) but it's worth it if you are planning to wear lashes long term and are wanting higher quality products.

I specifically wanted my hair blow-dried with a round brush for a smooth, polished finish. Instead, the stylist focused on creating curls, which I did not request. I was told the curls would last for three days, but they did not even last through the day. I also felt that the stylist struggled with the actual blow-drying technique and did not seem comfortable or confident working with my hair using a round brush. Unfortunately, once I got home, I also noticed that blue shampoo had been left around my ears, which was disappointing and something I would have expected to be checked before I left the salon. The stylist herself was very friendly, but overall, the service did not meet my expectations for a professional blowout, particularly given the price.

Parking is difficult in this area, but I managed to find a spot a few blocks away, which made me exactly 7 minutes late. I understand the late policy that if you are late, they will do as much of the service as possible, and you may not get exactly a full set, which was totally fine with me and I would be happy to pay for the full service. However, when I arrived, the employee already had her bag packed and told me she had closed the front till, so she couldn't perform the service. I had already paid for parking and would have turned around if they had called to let me know they wouldn't be able to accommodate me. I was not charged for the service. I left for vacation the next morning so did not get to have the service performed before my vacation. I would at least appreciate a courtesy call to let me know if the shop is closing and unable to perform the service.

NOTE: This review is about Noir Lash Lounge, as a business--not specific to my technician, and not…read moreabout lash extensions in general (which a lot of lash newbies tend to do). The quality of your technician is always going to vary at these places, so unless you are referred to one specific person, your actual lash result may vary a bit. I've gotten eyelash extensions at a few different places before, but all in the US (in New York City, to be exact). I would first like to say that this place is significantly better than 90% of eyelash extension places in New York. This is a really cute place with great customer service! My technician was super friendly and accommodating, which made the whole experience very pleasant. You actually feel like a valued customer, unlike many of the eyelash "factories" in New York. And as if that wasn't enough, my technician called me 1 week after my appointment to check in and make sure everything was going well with my lashes. What??? Nobody gives a crap about how your lashes are holding up in New York eyelash places (unless you are going somewhere that charges 3x the amount). I love this place! The one weird thing was the removal process. When removing my previous set of lashes, there was a noticeable burning sensation that they gave me a wet towel to "cool my eyes" from. I've never had a burning sensation from removal before, and the woman who did my lashes told me it's because the solution they use is actually gentler and better for my lashes than what many places usually use. I'm still not sure if this is true, but I'm over it now, so whatevs.

All of the reviews you will read are TRUE! Polina is amazing...... "mic drop!" It was a wonderful experience to have such professionalism and an actual explanation of things. My previous salon just assumed I knew what I wanted and how things work. Well I didn't, which let to not liking my eyelashes the first few time. I also didn't understand why they were falling out in chunks and never looked quite right. Polina explained that the length and thickness you can wear will have limits based on your own lashes. My previous technician just seemed to throw whatever on and it always seemed rushed. There is real care and precision taken while Polina makes you look your best. I was much happier with my new look and my lashes felt more comfortable, more natural. I also feel they actually look more natural, even though they are fuller and curlier than I could ever hope to have with my mediocre genetics lol. I did the plush volume mix set. $120 for a new set, which included removal of the disaster set I had on. The Beauty Corner is small, but it's clean and comfortable with competitive prices. You get to listen to some old school tunes while Polina does her thing! Tips are also not expected. I tried to tip and she would not let me lol. It's kind of nice when you are already forking out so much Moolah! Just a heads up.....it's a little hard to find this place, so make sure you look for the address. There is no street sign or sandwich board to alert you. I walked right passed it lol!

Please note that I have been regularly getting my lashes done for the last 4 years. I've recently moved to the Kits area so I was in search for a new technician. I have never had such an uncomfortable experience in all these years. The process was very uncomfortable and painful to the point where I even considered stopping the appointment. My eyelids were taped uncomfortably too high at the corners. The tape was pulling on my eyelids so hard that my eyes were pulled slightly open and the bright light was blinding me. I managed to wiggle my eyes out of the grip that I could keep my eyes 100% closed. My top eyelids felt too exposed and the glue was stinging me. Throughout the appointment, her hand kept resting on my forehead or nose which made it very uncomfortable and unprofessional as well. I was also disappointed with my initial consultation prior to beginning the appointment. I communicated that I wanted full, dramatic long lashes. There was one lash left from my previous set (done by a different technician) and she told me that the lash was too heavy for my natural lashes and that she wanted to preserve my natural ones. Fair enough, however I am fully aware of what I'm signing up for and the risks involved. I wanted something dramatic since I was leaving for a beach vacation the very next day and didn't want to put on any other extra makeup during this time. However, after some more back and forth, she insisted that we go a more natural look so I eventually agreed. Once the appointment was finished and I went home to have a good look, I was very disappointed since it did not have the dramatic look that I was hoping for. For a natural look, the lashes and texturing turned out nice. Unfortunately, it just wasn't what I wanted. Unfortunately, I will not be returning due to the uncomfortable procedure and unwillingness to cater to the client. In hindsight, I'm upset at myself for not directly speaking up or giving constructive criticism during my appointment. Live and learn.
