I have been getting my eyelashes done for quite some time and almost 2 years of this at Willow Lash lounge and yesterday I had one of the worst experiences I have had before. Not only did I leave unhappy with my eyelashes and left with nothing I asked for (right before my best friends wedding) but when I expressed my concerns I was ignored and shluffed off and then I was highly overcharged. I tried to get in touch with the owner or anyone but no one has gotten back to me. I do not recommend Willow lash lounge anymore. read more

I no longer recommend Willow Lash Lab's Services any longer. I had a bad reaction to the lash glue Willow uses. My eye lids were red, puffy, very itchy and I had a yellowish crust forming at the base of my lashes. I called Willow immediately and she could not even see me for 3 weeks! When I did see her she chided me for having "dirty" lashes and that was her only "advice". I ended up at the eye doctor who diagnosed me with a bad case of blepharitis (inflammation of the eye lid) due to an allergic reaction to the glue Willow used on me. The "dirty" lashes Was the crust formed from the blepharitis. I did not have dirty lashes I had a serious eye condition. The doctor told me the glues used are toxic to the eyes. I spent $240 on the eye doctor and medications. Willow should have known it was blepharitis or at the very least a bad reaction to the glue. Willow also has a very stict rule that if you are one day over 3 weeks she forces you to undergo a complete removal and application of a new full set of lashes for a whopping cost of about $250. She is so booked it can be very difficult to get in in the 3 week window. Last year she went on vacation and wouldn't be back in time for my 3 week fill. It was ONLY 3 extra days over 3 weeks and she refused to do a fill insisting I must do a new set. I was a good loyal customer and asked her if she would do the fill as it was her vacation that caused the timing issue and it was a mere 3 days over. She refused. I fired her. She obviously doesn't care about repeat loyal customers. After researching and shopping around I discovered Willow is charging enormous prices for her services. I found a much more professional spa like lash salon far cheaper and no ridiculous 3 week rule. I am also no longer having a reaction to the glue. Willow rents a tiny cramped room in a crappy low end hair salon. Not relaxing or spa like to say the least. I am very happy I left Willow Lash Labs. read more

The owner here does horrible customer service. This is the first time I write a bad review. When I was here at the first time the technician put too much eyelashes than I want . I told her I do not want to lots of eyelashes I just wanted natural look because of my job. Everyone has misunderstanding and mistake so it is ok as long as they act nice and being willing to fix it . But She was having really a bad attitude. Obviously that was too much than picture I showed her but The owner was acting like it was my fault and excusing lots and did not want to fix at the begging and the way she said to me was rude and uncomfortable. And she was saying "Sorry for your time.Are you ok?" to her technician a lot of time but NOT to customer which is me. I was busy but had to stay there for long time because she put too much and remove so the owner should have say sorry to me NOT technician. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE customer service. Evenchally she fixed it a bit with bad attitude but still it was bad result but I tried to forget. If it is good service usually the owner does not act like that. I was hairstylist and I know that situation . If that happes we just say sorry to customer and fix it right away. Thats is it.Not more than that . I showed my eyelashes somebody who is eyelash technician and she said the same thing as me. (I showed her my eyelashes and pictured I showed the technician ) But I tried to forget and tried this place again and I requested the same technician because she knew what I wanted now but they seemed like they forget so different technician came to me. But again, everyone has mistake so it is ok but the problem is her attitude as long as they say sorry and good attitude it is ok for me but she did not say sorry at all and had a bad attitude. And to be honest I am still having lots of eyelashes so I did not want to go back yet. But the thing was reception said to me that I had to come back otherwise it will be too late to fill. I told her I still have lots so I would like to come back on weekend . But she STILL insisted I should come back earlier otherwise it will be too late. So I come back because she insisted I listened professional advice but the technician who deal with me told me that I did not need it yet. Then why I have to pay for $55 to fill if I do not still need to do it yet?? I told the receptionist I still had lots of them and I did not need! And I overheard that the owner was saying the technician "You did not need to say to her(me) that she ( I ) does not still need to fill eyelashes " And the owner came up to me and said "Why did not cancel yesterday?" How can I cancel??I just followed professial adviceI just came to the salon because when I explained to the receptionist on the phone "I still have lots of eyelashes so I do not need to go " THE RECEPTIONIST THE ONE WHO SAID THAT IT WILL BE TOO LATE IF I DON'T COME. I wanted to come weekend ! But if professional said I still need to go , just follow their advice just in case, right? But again the owner was acting like it was my fault and bad attitude. IT WAS REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE Since I overheard that the owner said that her technician "The technician did not need to say I did not still not need eyelashes " Then customer has to pay even when they still not need the service??? This was my first time here. I have gotten extensions a few times before at a more well known lash salon, however was never truly satisfied with the result as well as their customer service. I found Willow Las lab online and after reading the reviews decided to give it try. Willow, the owner, is absolutely amazing. She is so kind, nice, cheerful and knows her stuff!!! Unhappy with the result, they said they have no time to fix it and there is no way to return a portion of what I paid. $280 is quite expensive for a full set comparing other lash labs. So far so good ! The first time I came in, my left eye lashes all fell out within a week! I do daily yoga and other workouts which mean I also shower a lot so I know that can be stressful for lashes. I also know from my numerous lash experiences from studios in Vancouver and LA that our lash cycle can be leave us lashless when we least expect it. I told Heather this and she was patient and took her time doing my classic refill. She basically was filling 75 percent of the lashes that fell out . It took a little longer than I was used to and my eyes stung for an entire day after. I believe that the weather also influence the dryness of your skin( in LA this was never a problem...). Heather's work was accurate, precise, patient, and full. I can tell she love lashes and she took her time on each lash as I was drifting into a slumber. The girls here seem very sweet, genuine, and dedicated to their craft. When I was there, the technician next to me was giving her customer tips on lashcare. I learned new things about lash care so ask your tech! Lashes are addictive and high maintenance ( be committed to be diligent about taking care of them) , they are so fun to flutter ! read more

After disappointing experience at another eyelash extension place, I took my time to research all of my options in Vancouver. There was few criteria that I stuck to this time while choosing the next place I'd intrust my eyes & lashes to: 1) The place had to specialize in eyelash extensions, and eyelash extensions ONLY, not as an add-on service 2) The lash tech must have a large portfolio of lash extension pictures ranging from very natural looks to very dramatic looks 3) Must offer different lengths, curls, techniques (ranging from classic techniques to newer lash application techniques like Russian Volume) and styles 4) The appointment must be more than 1 hour long (so the technician isn't rushed on a full set) 5) Reasonable price for full set & refills (expecting around 100+ for good quality full) Not only does Willow Lash Labs meet all of these expectations, Willow (the owner & lash artist) totally blew me away with her quality of work and great attitude. I specified that I wanted fuller, more natural looking lashes that just verged on being dramatic, and Willow made some suggestions for options I didn't even know existed. You can definitely tell this lady knows her lashes and loves doing what she does! Having a more thorough consultation process for a new client was a big plus for me and made me feel like the lashes would be tailored exactly to what I wanted, completely different from my previous experiences where it felt like I was just another person on the lash tech's schedule. Willow really took her time doing my lashes, and my full mixed set (single, 2D and 3D) took about 2 hours. I was completely relaxed, comfortable, and at home, chatting away with her almost the entire time. She was so friendly, attentive and funny that I didn't even notice the time going by! When it was all done I was honestly blown away by the work. These are the most gorgeous extensions I've ever seen - just full enough to look like the lashes of someone blessed with good genetics, curved and lengthened at the outer corners just enough to accentuate my eye shape. Just wow. I know for fact that I won't be able to find better extensions in town, especially at this price (came out to $120, before tip) or a more skilled, friendlier lash technician. I strongly disagree with the negative reviews and feel that maybe some people's idea of good customer service means the business accommodating their every demand which is simply not how it works. Willow is friendly, sweet, prompt at replying and fit me in short notice only a few hours after I texted her! So in my experience her customer service was great. I should also add that she now has her own private studio (simple, clean & inviting) on Mainland Street and is not in a room in a salon. OK now for the lashes - I've had a TON of bad experiences over the last 5 years with lashes, (perms, extensions, tinting, you name it) I am a fairly picky client especially after a few negative experiences and I can say that Willow is easily the best I've been to in the city. Her application was gentle she didn't put tape all over my face trying to hold my eyelids up (which I find very bothersome) she was gentle and I felt no irritation. The lashes looked so good and natural which is the look I was going for. She was able to do dark brown which I've been wanting for a while and I am more than pleased! I can't wait to try different styles, now that I have finally found my perfect lash artist in Vancouver. If you have doubts, don't. Book with Willow, you won't regret it! read more

Ive been to many different eyelash extensions places, and I can definitely say that ill be staying with Willow from now on. Theres nothing wrong about other lash labs; they give me extensions that are nice , but they don't have as big of a wow factor. So I've never really found one that I was sold on to keep going back and back, seeing that extensions aren't exactly the cheapest things out there. I like my extensions long and with lots of volume, and Willow is able to give me exactly what I ask for each time. I can tell just by looking at my lashes that she really tries to give me that volume I want and the length is always perfect for what I like (more dramatic). Also, I find that in the past my lashes fell faster whereas now I don't have to worry about them falling all the time unless I'm super brutal with them Lol. The extensions look so great I save so much time on the makeup part. Just wake up feeling good to go! Also, willow is always accommodating to my random text messages for a fill, and now that she's got a online booking system, it'll be convenient for anyone to book a time. Also, I find that the pricing is lower than the ones that I've been to before. I usually get the 2D (?) lash extensions that have 2 or 3 lashes on one, and the price for a fill is lower than other places I've seen. read more

I am so surprised at the couple reviews I read regarding Willow being unaccommodating, not caring about her clients...... This is my second review, and I've been seeing Willow now almost a year and half and she never seizes to amaze me with her work, knowledge of everything and anything to do with lash extensions Her enthusiasm and her love for lashes, shows in her work. I always get the VAvavoom lashes which are 3D to 5D and they always look amazing. She's always very honest and will give you her professional opinion on what type of lash extensions you are looking for. If she thinks it could be damaging to your lashes with the length or volume you chose, she will always be honest and explain to you why or why it might not be a smart idea, and offer you some other ideas but ultimately it's your choice. That's one thing I love about her, is her honesty and love for her business. Prior to Willow, I had been to many lash techs over the years and in my opinion noone in Vancouver is as gifted and passionate about lashes and the way they look and feel and she always makes sure that you are 100% satisfied. As to her being unavailable, between my girlfriends and I, we have no problem with our bookings, if anything she always tries to make it work, whether she has to stay late or work on her day off. I had a half volume set done by Celina and she did a wonderful job with my sad little lashes - sad no more because they are now looking fabulous and glamorous! Previous places I had been to would take 2 hours or longer to complete the service and I was in and out within an hour and a half at Willow! I've been to Willow Lashes 4 times and they've all been great. Her new studio in Yaletown is a perfect spot. This is the first time that I got a "fill" appointment and I've already booked my next one. I get the level 13, full set lashes and really like them. Not a huge fan of charging customers 50% of the fill-in fee to reschedule or cancel if an emergency comes up on the day of... It's a ridiculous policy for customers who would still like to continue coming in but can't due to extenuating circumstances affecting their ability to show up for a few hours for ONE day out all previous appointments made - that they were willing to pay for plus tip in the first place! I've been going to Willow for eyelash extensions regularly for the past year. I had wanted to get them done for the longest time but was worried they'd look too fake, irritate my eyes or worse. Then one day I complimented a stranger on her fabulous eyelashes and she recommended Willow. After a little more research I took the plunge and haven't looked back! I tend to go for a more "natural" look since I am blonde and fair skinned - it looks like I just happen to have the most perfect and amazing mascara on. My hair generally grows pretty slow, so I visit the salon about every 5 weeks to get them filled in. I have never had any problems like I've heard about from other people (drooping, irritation, gaps etc.) and find that they are pretty easy to care for. Stick to the rules Willow gives you (don't mess with them too much, oil free eye-makeup only) and your beautiful long lashes will last weeks. Another selling point for me, and why I've been able to maintain them, is that Willow's prices are much more reasonable than most other eyelash salons - I like to call it "sustainable beauty" :) read more

I was recommended to try out Willow by a friend who said the Volume lash set (~200 lashes per eye) was very dramatic, and that was what I was looking for Halloween. I have been to 3 of the other most popular lash places on Yelp, and while I found the service to be quite pleasant overall, Willow definitely gives you the most volume for your money (especially if you naturally don't have full or long lashes). Not only does she pack on the lashes, she is also quick, the lashes feel soft/light, and they stay on well without any irritation (barely any fall out, unless I can't keep my wand away from fanning them!). She also gives friendly but honest feedback to me about cleaning my lashes properly especially if I still use eye make up. Since my first volume set, I have tried out the Classic set as I wanted to keep things more natural for day-to-day so I have been getting Glam set (100 lpe) and I love them because they still make a big difference to my eyes. With Willow transitioning to a store of her own, some people have been complaining about the price increase, but I definitely say that the price is worth the quality and consistency of work she puts into doing your lashes; for a service that involves direct contact so close to your eyes, I would not want to sacrifice saving a few dollars for potentially poor workmanship! read more

This was my first time for extensions and I'm in love! I am so happy with my overall experience. I had them done for a tropical destination wedding at the end of March and its the first week of May and they still look fabulous. They shed just as my reg lashes do, withheld very humid temperatures including hours in the hot tub :) I would highly recommend Willow lash labs! read more

My wife came in to have her full set eye lash extensions done ($120 value). We know the lash extensions should normally last approximately 3 weeks. The unfortunate reality is that they lasted less than 24 hrs. She followed careful instructions on how to maintain them however, upon waking up the next morning she found most of it had fallen off. She also experienced allergic reactions so the decision was to return and have the remaining lashes removed the next day. We find this absolutely ridiculous and upsetting. We question the quality of the lashes or chemicals used. My wife has had this procedure done several times at other places and has never once experienced these issues. Staff named Heily Lim informed her that there is no refund policy and therefore cannot proceed with a refund. This is very disappointing considering time was wasted and money paid for failed delivery of service. Is it that difficult to offer a refund. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. I've been going to Willow for at least.. 7-8 months now.. I must say her work always leaves me feeling beautiful! I've gotten MANY compliments on them and I don't even remember what I look like without them anymore! She is accommodating to her clients and does the lash style that they like. I always go with the classic and sometimes.. people even think they're my real lashes! That's how natural she can make them look! One day if I decide to be brave and go more dramatic, I would definitely leave myself in the hands of Willow. Also, when she does my lashes, she talks to me (and is really funny) if i'm feeling talkative.. but she also just knows when to just let me lay there and practically fall asleep. I always feel like i'm going to a spa when I see her. If you are ever wondering whether you should take the leap and get your lashes done, just do it with willow.. cause for sure you won't regret it!!! read more
