Despite repeatedly asking for an experienced lash technician -- specifically because I've had multiple bad experiences elsewhere -- I was assigned someone who applied an excessive amount of glue to my lashes. Two months later, I still have clumps of extensions stuck on, and my natural lashes are in the worst condition they've ever been. They're sparse, damaged, and weak. The worst part? This appointment was supposed to fix a previous mistake from the same salon. Instead, I've been left with even more damage. When I raised the issue, the only resolution they offered was a free fill or an attempt to correct it -- but I simply don't have the time or trust to keep going back and forth, especially when I already tried that and it made things worse. It's clear they are no longer hiring properly trained lash techs. The only person I would recommend there is Emily -- if you must go to this salon, ask for her. Otherwise, I suggest staying away. The risk to your natural lashes just isn't worth it.

Parking is difficult in this area, but I managed to find a spot a few blocks away, which made me exactly 7 minutes late. I understand the late policy that if you are late, they will do as much of the service as possible, and you may not get exactly a full set, which was totally fine with me and I would be happy to pay for the full service. However, when I arrived, the employee already had her bag packed and told me she had closed the front till, so she couldn't perform the service. I had already paid for parking and would have turned around if they had called to let me know they wouldn't be able to accommodate me. I was not charged for the service. I left for vacation the next morning so did not get to have the service performed before my vacation. I would at least appreciate a courtesy call to let me know if the shop is closing and unable to perform the service.

Please note that I have been regularly getting my lashes done for the last 4 years. I've recently moved to the Kits area so I was in search for a new technician. I have never had such an uncomfortable experience in all these years. The process was very uncomfortable and painful to the point where I even considered stopping the appointment. My eyelids were taped uncomfortably too high at the corners. The tape was pulling on my eyelids so hard that my eyes were pulled slightly open and the bright light was blinding me. I managed to wiggle my eyes out of the grip that I could keep my eyes 100% closed. My top eyelids felt too exposed and the glue was stinging me. Throughout the appointment, her hand kept resting on my forehead or nose which made it very uncomfortable and unprofessional as well. I was also disappointed with my initial consultation prior to beginning the appointment. I communicated that I wanted full, dramatic long lashes. There was one lash left from my previous set (done by a different technician) and she told me that the lash was too heavy for my natural lashes and that she wanted to preserve my natural ones. Fair enough, however I am fully aware of what I'm signing up for and the risks involved. I wanted something dramatic since I was leaving for a beach vacation the very next day and didn't want to put on any other extra makeup during this time. However, after some more back and forth, she insisted that we go a more natural look so I eventually agreed. Once the appointment was finished and I went home to have a good look, I was very disappointed since it did not have the dramatic look that I was hoping for. For a natural look, the lashes and texturing turned out nice. Unfortunately, it just wasn't what I wanted. Unfortunately, I will not be returning due to the uncomfortable procedure and unwillingness to cater to the client. In hindsight, I'm upset at myself for not directly speaking up or giving constructive criticism during my appointment. Live and learn.
