My appointment was a month ago now- I thought I'd wait to write my review to get a better sense of what my brows would really look like as they change quite a bit from the appointment and through the healing process. Melissa did exactly what I had hoped for. I am blonde and fair skinned so I was really nervous about getting my brows micro-bladed and held off for quite a while to do them but when I found Brow Beauty Lab and saw all of the 5 star reviews I felt confident that this was the right place to go. I asked to have a really natural look and Melissa did exactly that. The shape is perfect and I have booked a touch up but honestly barely even need it. For the first about 5 days I definitely had a Cara Delevinge brow vibe which I didn't hate but they were quite dark for my features. I'm not going to lie- I had a mild panic attack directly after my appointment because I was not used to seeing my brows with such a perfect shape and so dark but just like Melissa said- after the two weeks the darkness came way down and they now look natural, fuller and have a perfect shape for my face :). read more

I've been going to Melissa for a year now and I've always left satisfied. The first time around we agreed to follow the natural shape of my brows just to stay safe incase I felt they were too harsh or an off shape for my face. I'd gone to one touch up initially where she darkened them a bit and elongated my brows slightly. The past year I've loved my brows! They fit my face shape and I only really touched up on areas when I wore more makeup/wanted a stronger brow. I recently went in for a yearly touch up and we decided to go thicker and more natural towards the front of the brow. Sharon is a fantastic brow artist! I met her after having found the Brow Beauty Lab on Instagram, and really liked the natural look of the eyebrows Sharon creates. I immediately reached out and booked an appointment. Even if I lived in a different city/province in Canada, I knew it was worth the trip. And Sharon didn't disappoint! On my first appointment, we connected over music and I just felt completely relaxed and confident that Sharon would do a fantastic job, and she did. She asked me how I felt about the look of the microblading and this made me feel a sense of autonomy that was delightful. Going to Brow Beauty Lab has been life-changing for me. Simply put, Melissa is an artist. I basically had no hair at all and have the unique issue of being born with two different coloured eyebrows. I was not sure microblading would even work for me as I barely had any hair and was terrified of the idea of obvious pencil lines on my face. I booked a combo brow appointment with Melissa and I am beyond thrilled with how my eyebrows look. They look incredibly real!! (way better than what I would try to do with so many different brands of brow pencils and brow tutorials). My daughter and I saw Melissa Chang for eyebrows (microblading and powder) recently. Melissa was extremely professional/detail oriented-worked quickly yet very thoughtful as to my comfort level and put my mind as ease as you do worry about the end result. I was able to check and see if I was happy with shape and colour without feeling rushed and she would change accordingly however mine looked excellent the first time. Melissa was happy to go over any questions at anytime during the appt and as well by email at anytime. We were interrupted by covid however as soon as she was able to reopen contacted us a spot right away for our second visit and follow-up at no charge. The office was following all of the medical and govt rules so I felt safe/everyone masked etc. In closing we're both extremely happy with the outcome/results. I got microblading done by Melissa this past Sunday and I am obsessed with my brows. I had decided to get them done to reduce the amount of time I spent drawing my brows, especially in the mornings. She was extremely patient as she spent a considerable amount of time making sure that both brows matched and did not start until I was completely satisfied ( I am extremely picky!). During the procedure she was very attentive and took her time to make sure my brows were perfect. I had been contemplating getting them done for sometime and I admit I was beyond nervous as it is a semi-permanent tattoo but she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and content with my decision. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Melissa! The place was extremely clean and during these covid times, that's extremely important and they complied with all rules and regulations. My colour matching was on point and she did an amazing job with the shape. Melissa took her times making sure everything was lined up and allowed me to check periodically to make sure I was happy before we continued with the micro blading. I was a bit nervous about the colour at first (as this was my first time) but I was told that it would appear darker at first and the colour might seem a bit off but after I healed, it was perfect! I over plucked my eyebrows as a youth and now, in my 30s I really paid the price with very sparse brows. I have perfect eyebrows all the time with no effort thanks to Melissa. I recently had upper eye liner done and it enhances the eye dramatically without looking over the top (this is not a cleopatra look). I wasn't sure what type of brows would look best and Melissa provided an honest and professional opinion. Alyssa is the goddess of brows. She creates a unique shape for your face and makes sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the whole process (which can look quite daunting with all those lines on your forehead!).
