Came in on a Wednesday without an appointment and was taken right away. They had a huge color selection! It only cost $30 for a fill with gel polish and coffin shape!! Every one was nice and I absolutely love my nails. I have never been this satisfied with my nails before! It did take a little over an hour but I don't mind waiting when they turn out this good! Definitely coming back. UPDATE: I went back and brought a friend. We had an appointment for 2:30 and I was taken right away. My friend was told to sit in the waiting chair and watched as people without appointments came in and got taken right away. Finally they took her and did an absolutely horrible job! Her nails were uneven, there was a hair in one of them, it took them over an hour and a half to do her nails! That's insane! All she got was a fill! Later after leaving and being very disappointed, we found out that they over charged her! She called and told them and they said "sorry he didn't know the price" she then said I want my money back and they said "we can give you store credit" yeah right!! Like she's ever coming back! So disappointed. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because my nails are fine but very disappointed on hers. read more

It was really average. Customer service was average. She kept trying to upswell us the whole time which is fine but it got annoying. The foot massage for the pedicure was about 6 minutes long which was disappointing. And my manicure has already chipped and it's been two days. I've been here about five times now and this last visit was somewhat disappointing... first I had a full set with powder applied, which turned out great- I love them. The tech was a middle aged gentleman with a good sense of humor who explained the benefits of the power to me vs acrylic, etc. He was awesome. Next, off to my pedicure.... I am by no means exaggerating (I checked my texts for accuracy).... the pedicure took all of 16 minutes. Remove polish, 3 min massage, scrub heels, clip hangnails and file... polish.... in that order...? Then asked me to move to the center console. No problem but then she didn't even offer to turn on the UV light. Took my payment next and didn't ask if I wanted to tip so just ran my card. I'm used to places asking if I want to add one if there is no option to sign it into the receipt. I asked if she could run my card again for a tip and she looked annoyed..... wow. I mostly wanted to make sure the first tech got something but otherwise I didn't really feel like she cared one way or another. I totally understand that a mother and daughter were waiting but I had already been there 45 minutes and had told them I wanted a pedicure when I walked in- I don't feel I should lose out on my experience. Also, no offer was made to upgrade my pedicure, and I usually get the top one or the one right below, and tip well thereafter. Could be a fluke, but today I felt like cattle. I work with key rings (taking them off and putting them on) and I am pretty rough on my nails. I hate getting fake nails because when they do come off, your whole nail bed is ruined and it take about 10 months to grow out to normal. Then of course your nails are weak and tear at the edges and it's to much of a hassle! So I decided to stop by this lil hidden nail salon and try out GELISH/SHELLAC nails (NOT GEL NAILS) because it doesn't mess up my nails at all. I didn't expect my nails to last over a week but it has been 3 weeks and it hasn't so much as lost its gloss. I get tons of compliments all day long and recommend it to everyone that asks. I got my nails done by the older woman who works at Silky Nails, she did my fill in 40 minutes and it shows. My nails are uneven, she cut the skin around 3 of my nail cuticles with no apologies. She was careless, unprofessional and rude. She charged $35.00 for the worst nail fill I've ever experienced. She walked away from me telling the younger woman to charge me $35.00 instead of the listed charge of $30.00. read more

I have been here twice now and I'm confused why more people don't come here. The first time was on a busy Friday morning and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. They had plenty of people working which seems to be a problem at Folsom nail salons or maybe its just after I write a good review...The second was on a Sunday afternoon--I couldn't remember and was unable to tell by looking on line if they were open, so I decided to call: They do not advertize as being open on Sundays, but there were two ladies working that day, so my friend and I made an appointment and were seen right away. I would defiantly come here again--my manicure lasted more than a week and I was impressed with the fast and quality service. Tip#1: This should always be a tip, but bring your own nail polish so you can do touch ups through out the week--the selection was good, but I like a lot of different options. Tip#2: Try to get "sticky" base nail polish at Ulta (in a green bottle)and bringing it in--it makes my manicure last twice as long. Tip #3: Consider going on a Sunday, but call ahead to schedule an appointment because the salon is not fully staffed that day. read more

I wish they had more colors in the neutral shades. But otherwise this is going to be my go- to place for a pedicure. This place is a great value for the price. It is not the most glamourous salon you will ever visit, but it was clean and the people working there were so friendly. I spent $40, plus tip and got a manicure, pedicure, eyebrow, and upper lip wax. This all happened while I sat in a massage chair and relaxed. The paint job on my fingers and toes were solid and the arm and legs massages felt great. Arrived 10:30 on a Friday morning for an impromptu Birthday Pedicure. There were 3 pedicures already in progress with 3 additional open chairs and the staff to support them. They had me take a seat and got started right away. The pedicure was very nice. It was a spa pedicure in a massage chair. There was a full 15 minutes of thorough calf/foot massage, and cost $20 bucks. Good deal, and it gets better because for French, it was only another $3! She did a very nice job and wanted to make sure the line thickness was to my liking. So for under $25 I received a great spa pedicure. A lot of people agree, the place was packed by the time I left at 11:15. Pros: Good prices. Friendly service. Nice big TV facing the chairs. Lots of chairs. Not only is it inexpensive but my nails look great for about three week or so. That's pretty good for a basic nail polish. WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE I've been going to Silky Nails for years and have always been happy with my pedicures and love the nail art they do on my big toes! Today, my 15 year old daughter went in by herself for the first time and got a gel manicure. The nail art did not turn out well. (Even nail artists have a bad day once in a while) When she got home she was very sad as she was excited to get her nails done for the first day of in person school. I asked her if they had asked if the art was ok and she said, "yes they did", and she told them it was good because she didn't want to make them feel bad. I took a picture of her nails and brought it in along with the reference photo she used when she had her nails done. Danny took one look at the 2 photos and said, "no problem, bring her in and we'll redo them. No charge". I brought my daughter back in a few hours later and they treated her wonderfully. They redid all of the nails that needed it, talked to her about school, confirmed with her along the way that the nail art was turning out exactly the way she wanted. Her nails turned out beautifully and my daughter is so proud to be able to show them off on her first day of school. I've always been one that considers how well a business treats customers when things don't go as planned. It's how they handle those situations that really tell you what kind of business they are. Carrie was great, she really took the time to make sure I was happy with my nails throughout the entire session, and was patient while I picked a color and even helped me decide. I am really picky about how my nails look, mainly making sure they look even and no polish is left. I see Jady for my pedicures and her attention to details is just wonderful. Heather does my nails and always listen to what I want, never tells me and goes above to make sure I am happy, When I call in to make an appointment, she remembers me and I have only been going there for about 4 months.
