Right by 36av train station. I've tried a lot of things from their menu and all of them taste delicious. My personal fav is the pork with mustard green or pepper with dry noodle. I usually order medium spicy because I just love the spice even though my stomach might disagree. There's a reward system as well. You order and pay at counter and can sit down at one of the tables. It is bright and clean. I also really like their chili oil by the counter. Overall, highly recommend.

I liked the shrimp and pork dumplings (6) and if you add $1 you get 8. I ordered the pork belly with dry noodles and overall it was good and very filling.

Hunan beef with rice - very spicy but scrumptious!

Hunan beef with rice was scrumptious! Service was reasonably fast. Clean and comfortable dining area.

Not your typical Chinese takeout! Don't expect General Tsos or orange chicken. I came here with a friend, and the place was very quiet. Not a lot of people dining in but I see a lot of takeout orders. There's a clean vibe, which is good but doesn't feel as cozy. Food was good. I got the pork mustard greens which really satisfied my stomach. I ordered mild which definitely had a small kick of spice. My friend ordered the next level and you can definitely feel a bit more of the fire. We also added the beef and daikon dumplings (10 count). I expected giant chunks of daikon but it was more shredded and mixed into the beef. I wasn't really wowed by it. The place is great for takeout or dining in. Pricey for the area but you save on going far out into Chinatown/Flushing.

Silky Kitchen is a fast casual Chinese restaurant focused on authentic Hunan real spicy food for New York (i.e. soup noodles, dry mixed noodles, dumplings, etc). The owner of Silky Kitchen is an NYU graduate on a visit to China. He visited his wife's hometown of Hunan and came up with the idea to have similar food in New York City. Silky Kitchen was opened 6 years later on August 25, 2018. I visited the Long Island City location in March 2023 and tried the following: - Shrimp Chive Pork Dumplings - Braised Pork Ribs over Rice NOM NOM NOM!! ENJOY!!

Human Beef with extra side white rice. So much flavor. Excellent! Eat here. So fresh.

I had the spicy and sour fish soup noodles (level 3 spiciness) and the spicy squid dry noodles (level 2). I appreciated that they give you plenty of protein for your dish. The fish was silky smooth and there was plentiful pickled vegetables. The spicy squid reminded me of 오징어 볶은, a Korean dish. I liked the dry noodles more than the soup noodles, which wasn't expected to me. If you can't handle spice, you might want to stick with level 1.

So happy Silky Kitchen opened here in LIC near the Queens Plaza hub. They have previously opened two other locations in Manhattan but given that we are not traveling into Manhattan that much this new location is good fantastic. We tried our basic bowl of soup noodle, dumplings and and sweet rice cak. Serve us fast and seating is basic counter style or large bench style table. The place is beautifully designed. The food is very good. If you drive there are street parking just a couple of block east of this location.

Keepin it real out here in the part of LIC with nothing going on It's a great clean spot for food with great customer service. The interior is very modern and minimalistic. The food can get spicy depends on what you order and is pretty good overall. Great addition to that part of LIC since there isn't much going on other than the few luxury rental buildings.

Lots of seating and very clean

A new noodle place opened in LIC recently! The interior is modernized, spacious, and has lots of seating available. Even the lights looked eccentric and exciting. It started getting pretty packed after we received it. I was surprised how many guests there were especially since this location opened not too long ago. The staff was so kind and welcoming. The ordering process was very simple and quick. The food came out quickly and utensils are self-serve. You are also welcome to take leftovers to go; just ask! You are also able to order ahead/pre-order on Yelp and Grubhub. I tried the pork and celery dumplings, shrimp and pork dumplings, sweet rice cakes, Hot and sour fish noodle soup, beef stew, and cucumber salad. My favorite was their beef stew. The beef was so tender and delicious. It also had pickled mustard greens, which I love. The hot and sour fish noodle soup was also delicious, however, I would not recommend it for individuals who do not like acidic foods. the hot and sour fish noodle soup had a good amount of fish and some of the pickled mustard greens I love as well. tl;dr - beef stew is amazing and a must-try! Hot and sour fish soup for fish lovers who love spicy and sour foods. Lots of seating and almost like self-serve. amazing noodle place. beef stew is a must-have! There is always clean seating space so make sure you also tip the staff upon paying for your order!!!

One of my favorite restaurants for takeout! I first tried this restaurant 1.5 years ago and have been coming back at least once per month. Their stir fried chicken and chili is easily my favorite dish. I get it medium spicy which I prefer so I can actually taste the food. Would recommend not getting above a medium The service is very good. We always get our food within 5-10mins of ordering The ambiance is pretty cool; very minimalist. Not a place to go and have a sit down lunch/dinner with friends. Would recommend getting takeout

This location is the third one for Silky Kitchen. It is located right next to a subway station. It's a good place to stop by for authentic Hunan noodles if you live, work or are staying in one of the many hotels nearby. Disclaimer, my meal was complimentary but that in no way affected my review. I had the hot and sour fish noodles and the stir fried green beans. The spice level can be adjusted. I chose mild for mine but it was still spicy enough to make my nose run (I can't handle spice). Note that although the dish is fish noodles the soup uses a meat base. The soup contains pickled mustard greens and can be an acquired taste, but I am accustomed to it and enjoyed it. There was plenty of fish and was very filling. The noodles is indeed silky and smooth. The green beans are delicious, highly recommended! There are plenty of seats and the space is modern and clean. Thank you, Silky Kitchen! I'll be back when I'm craving soup noodles.

Visited this hunan rice noodle at their newly opened location in LIC. The concept is like a modern Chinese fast food specialize in hunan cuisine. The menu is simple with 16 choices of main choices from depends on your taste, the waitress was so friendly and took time to recommend which one is popular for us to try. You can choose the noodle with or without broth. She recommend without which has more flavor. In the end you can add the toppings, I picked pickles and fried egg which are extra cost but adding pickles are great. You can choose the spicy level, I got the medium it's not spicy so it doesn't ruin the flavor but you can definitely go spicer. I also tried their dumplings and two appetizers. I was born and raised I think their appetizer is on point, cucumber salad is perfect and the beef tripe portion is so generous. They also have a good selection of traditional drinks. Herbal tea(王老吉)and orange soda (北冰洋) The space is bright and clean, the staff are very friendly. Food come out fast. A lot of delivery orders you can directly order from their website.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. I got the wonton soup and pork juicy buns. The soup was different from other wonton soups with the addition of cilantro and some nice balancing flavors for the salt, and the juicy buns were your classic soup dumplings with a very nice rich sauce to dip in. The dandan noodles my friend ordered were maybe my favorite, they were the perfect level of spicy and so flavorful without being overwhelming. I'd go back just for my own plate of those. The service was quite fast, and it's a cute little shop that feels like a small town Chinese restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well. The host/clerk (person behind the counter) told her it was grease and refused to either refund her or prepare a new meal. As a local NYer who grew up with this type of comfort food, it's important to understand the distinctions. If you're expecting restaurant style food, do your research next time. When you're looking for a quick fix of stir fried foods, rice dishes drenched in glazed sauces, and crispy appetizers, this place did the trick. On my rainy day visiting my companions and bringing back takeout, this place provided us the food we needed. Most Chinese food takeout places would slather on so much salt, high sodium seasonings, watered down sauces, and very stale old cold rice. This place did none of this and they did a great job with their mixtures and flavors on my dishes. My only troubling thing was deciding what to get as everything looked good to order. Food bought on my side was the beef and broccoli - easy to tear through the beef bits, glazed and marinated nicely, and the broccoli was cooked well. My crab rangoons (what this place is known for) was extremely crispy and still hot when I arrived to my friend's place with melty cheese goodness in the center. Last is the shrimp eggroll - crispy and a bit bigger in portion than I usually get at other locations. No complaints on any items ordered and they all tasted fantastic. Staff is very nice and professional too. They also make sure to not miss out on giving any utensils or sauces to go with your orders. A better option for takeout Chinese food compared to the other neighboring places in this area as noted by my friend and Astoria local.
