I didn't want to have to mess with going to a different location to get my rental car. Once I had the approval AAA I made an appointment to come in and get an estimate for my car. I didn't need an appointment but I made one to simplify things. When I arrived everyone was very nice and helpful. Theresa came out and looked at the scratches and damage to my car. She walked all around the car to look for any additional damage besides just what I showed her. Within a couple days I had an appointment to bring in my car. My rental car was waiting for me and it was very easy to drop off my car and then drive away with the rental. In almost a week my car was ready to go. Trust me, you can't go wrong at Silicon Valley Auto Body! Everyone here was extremely nice, professional and accommodating. I called on a Tuesday morning and T was so helpful over the phone. She told me I can come right in and they'd give me an estimate within 15 minutes. This place is located right off H101 and near my apartment so it was super convenient. I met with Chris and he was extremely personable and made this whole process go by smoothly. I didn't think they'd take my car right away, but they did and I was out of there within 15 minutes with a 2016 Camry rental. Jim called me I believe the same day and updated me on the estimate and he took care of everything with my insurance (AAA). The car was ready within the 7-10 business days they originally quoted me for and the work was flawless. I'm not a car expert, but I could tell that they paid attention to detail and performed quality work. I never want to be in a minor accident or predicament where I need an auto body shop... I had an appointment to repair a minor collision damage on my SUV. The office lady called me to say the part was ready and scheduled the repair. I drove the car in and got stood up. They didn't even seen to know about my appointment at first and then eventually claimed the part wasn't ready. I haven't even heard from them since then. I just had my Honda Odyssey side panel replacement. Of course the quality is great and what I really liked the most was they are punctual in time. They don't say anything that is not 100% sure on delivery but they tried to meet my delivery request and they made it happen. Honesty and follow up was great. The car was not ready when we arrived at the shop and had to come back next day and this is just so typical things to happen. Next day we came back the car was ready and when I was about to leave they asked me for my credit card number again. I was puzzled because I already made a payment yesterday. They told me that they would like to give me a discount ! because it was not typical thing for them to happen and they had me to come twice. They offered me without asking anything! If you're unlucky enough to get in an accident (on Halloween no less), consider yourself extremely lucky to have found Silicon Valley Auto Body, like I did. Jim is absolutely wonderful - he is clear, thorough and knowledgable when it comes to car issues, but also very friendly and outgoing -- sort of like the Uncle you never had (or maybe still do!). The first thing Jim asked me on the phone when I called to tell him I needed a new bumper was, "You okay?" Right away, that gave me a great first impression of the type of customer service would follow. Accidents are stressful, and SVAB takes stress out of the equation, as much as they possibly can. Their staff is professional, timely and skilled. SVAB worked with my insurance and my bumper was replaced without a hitch. What's great is that you don't have to rent a car somewhere else - they are an extension of Hertz and can rent you out a Hertz rental on-site. Two birds, one stone - I was able to get a car and get to work the day after my accident like nothing happened. After I picked up my car, I noticed a funny but intermittent noise and Jim worked with me until we figured out what it was (brake pads) and showed me photos on his camera when I came to pick up my car. What made my experience memorable was the attention to detail and extremely high level of customer service Jim provided. I had damaged the front edge of my car's hood, down to the metal in a couple of spots. Owner Jim is one of the most experienced guy in business and has a SHARP eye. He is able to point out damage that I can't even see myself. Staff there are very serious about their work. How in the hell does an Auto Body shop have so many 5-star reviews. Come on. It's an auto body shop. Well, I'll tell you, they're getting another one from me. I had a work van rear end my Mini Cooper and run away instead of stopping to exchange information. So, it was already a crappy start. I called AAA and they got everything set up and recommended Silicon Valley Auto Body. They're a recommended shop for them. I called and made an appointment and brought the car in for a estimate. Gary was awesome. The estimate took all of 10 minutes. We set up an appointment for the next week. I brought the car in and they have rental cars on site, but I got one before. I got a call a week later that the car was done. I went to pick it up and the convenience of dropping off the rental car is awesome! The work they did was amazing! They even replaced a suspect part in the exhaust. The staff is amazing! Everyone is friendly and they really care. They're very deserving of my 5-stars and everyone elses! read more

What's the worst part of an accident? Stress. There's stress in working with the insurance company, the stress to find a reputable body shop, and the stress of having to go through the whole ordeal. Silicon Auto Body has a professional and caring team who were senstive to my situation and made the process as simple, as fast, and as easy as possible. Mike was courteous and had all the proper docs ready for me to sign. Jim was handling my case. Jim was always available when I had a question and I must of called him 3 times during the whole process. I had several requests and Jim assured me all the way that they were going to "take care" of it. I must say, I, myself always aim for perfection and most of the time I have a hard time trusting or staying relaxed while others are doing something for me. I got into a hit-and-run with a motorcycle in September and dreaded the process of getting my car repaired. The damage went from the front bumper all the way down the length of the right side of my car, including the front wheel and hub cap. The bike did some serious damage. My insurance is Progressive and they recommended another shop where they wrote my quote and did the initial inspection, in Sunnyvale. I admit, the shop got great reviews but I didn't want to be lazy about looking around and doing some hw on it. I found SVAB on Yelp and after going to the shop (which was nice and quiet, not a lot of cars in their garage) I decided to work with them. There was a huge difference in atmosphere, in that the other shops were jammed with cars, the lots weren't even paved, and you felt like every other customer in the sense that you took a ticket, waited in line, and hoped they did everything right. Darren was the rep I worked with and through every step of the process he was there. We touched base, practically every day of the week for two weeks until I finally picked up my car this morning. I received photos on the progress and received tremendous support for everything. The guys did a fantastic job on the car! The service is impeccable. I get a free detail and a full body wax and shine on the house. Plus they'd taken care of all the nicks, dents and other bruises the car had received over the past 2 years. They definitely go above and beyond when it comes handing you back your car like it was brand new! As you can imagine, the whole process is pretty painful, from the initial shock of getting into an accident, working with your insurance, to finding a body shop...it takes a lot of work on your end. But Darren took care of everything the minute I handed my car keys to him. This place is amazing. Not only were they incredibly kind, but I was in an emergency and had to get my car fixed the day I came in. They were patient and gave me an estimate, a price that was under (almost half) of what I expected to pay. While I was waiting for the guy to check the estimate cost, the manager (?) offered me some water and coffee and was so polite to me. They also were just friendly people. I left my car at the shop and they even offered to drive me to work that day. On top of fixing my mirror, they also washed my car with no extra costs. They said it would be ready by noon, and it was! I didn't even notice it until a few days later, but they also fixed the rear bumper on my car that had been damaged from before. They didn't even say anything or charge me extra. Stay away from this auto body shop! They don't have any quality control! Please pray to the God if you send your car to them. My miserable experience showed how terrible their repair and attitude are. My wife got a small accident, and my car was sent to it as it is my insurance suggested express repair shop. They gave me an estimate of 16 days at first, not bad. On day 16, I expected to get my car, but I didn't even get a call after the initial estimate call. Then I kept calling them for 5 days, the reception always told me the manager was busy and he would call me back. But it never happened! I was angry finally, and the manager finally picked my call and told me it would be ready the next day. Then when I tried to pick the car, I surprisingly found that the airbag warning signal was always on, and I couldn't even lock my driver side door! Then I left my car to them for another 2 days, and expected to pick a good car. Well they did fix the 2 problems, but there were 3 new problems: my trunk couldn't open even though I did it when I tried to pick it in the first time, my rear-right window couldn't roll down, and my door lock beep didn't work! What's worse, the manager didn't even feel sorry about it at all. He told me that their body shop couldn't fix the electronic problems and he just wanted to send me away. Later I sent my car to the dealer, and it took them more than 10 labor hours to figure out the problems: some electric lines were plugged out and the fuse box was damaged! It cost another 3000$ to fix the electronic problems! This body shop is really really bad, and please save yourself and keep it off! Some further updates: recently (one year later), I found my car cannot be unlocked manually with the key and had to call the roadside assistance to unlock my car. I only used auto-lock feature and never tested the manual lock after it's repaired. I sent my car to another mechanic and found the driver side lock was messed by them at that time and reassembled the lock. What a big surprise you will get in this car body shop! read more

My dad has been rear ended at least 5 times in the past 6 years (Why people cant see a black BMW M6!?) He has always gotten his body work done at SVAB since BMW of Mountain View suggested them when he first got rear ended. They have always been professional, and made the car look GREAT. SO I just bought my first new car, and got rear ended in a parking lot within the first 2 months of owning it! SVAB was the first place I went to. Once I got my car back, I didn't look that hard at the repair, but I assumed it was fine because of past experience and since it was pouring rain! So much had already been taken care of before I arrived (coordinating a Hertz loaner car and working with the guilty party's insurance agent), my process went rather seamlessly. They kept me informed throughout the entire process, with emails nearly every day. Since I have an electric car (with white carpool stickers), they took care to remove and save the old stickers to simplify my process of getting replacements. Finally, when my car was ready for me to pick up, they left it in the front of their parking lot; it was almost as if my car greeted me after missing me for four days! AMAZING SERVICE!!!! Teresa at the front desk is super helpful and possess GREAT customer service. We dropped my car off to get some dents (from a shopping cart that was rammed into it) all along the drivers side and my back bumper on Monday and were quoted for completion on Friday. They had to remove the ENTIRE drivers side door panels (I have a silver Hyundai Elantra Sudan) and remove the bumper to fix it up. Luckily with Covid I had no plans so the 5days without the car was completely fine for me as we have no where to go and I am able to work from home. Teresa called me on Thursday morning to inform me that they would be done with my car that day!! I couldnt pick it up Thursday due to conflicting work hours but NO FEAR. She offfered multiple solutions to help me get my car, even as extreme as taking it to my home for me!! ( I live less than two miles away ). I greatly appreciated the offers as well as the willingness to go to such lengths... very impressed. I told her I could pick it up Friday ( I told her afternoon but luckily my hubby was able to drive me in the morning) and when we got there MY CAR NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD!!!! you'd think it was a new car from what it was before. If I could give a 10 star rating I would . AND because of Covid they covered the drivers seat, steering wheel, mat, emergency brake, and shifter with easy to remove plastic covering!! My 2010 Toyota Prius was rear-ended during one of the recent storms. The bumper needed to be replaced and painted. So, I took my Prius to Silicon Valley Auto Body for the repair. My experience was excellent. They did a great job. They were courteous and professional throughout the entire process. They kept me informed, they delivered on time, and they exceeded my expectations. The repair is perfect. The worst thing about being rear-ended is that after all of the inconvenience of the process the repair usually sticks out like a sore thumb. I can spot many auto body repairs from across the parking lot. Paint matching is one of the most difficult elements of auto body repair, and I understand that there are limitations. But not in this case. The paint matched perfectly, up close and from a distance, in the shade and in direct sun light. You cannot tell that the car had been rear ended and then repaired. This is my second experience with Silicon Valley Auto Body. They previously did excellent job repairing my Volkswagen Jetta. Thanks to Jim and Pete in the front office and the rest of the staff.
