I was in need of a car wash and basic detailing for my car. After a quick yelp search, this place came up highly rated. I called asked for their availability and pricing. A car wash and basic detailing was $189 which is reasonable for the labor and for the area. They were able to book me in the next day which I really appreciate it! The place was easy to find, nestled off the main El Camino busy road. I dropped it off and they said they would text me 10-20 minutes before it was done. It took about 1-2 hours and they did exactly what they said they did - I got a text 15 minutes before and my car was ready shy of 2 hours. I was able to walk down El Camino to Coupa Caffe (which is about 10 minute walk) and wait there. That was very convenient as I didn't have to take an uber anywhere but was able to enjoy the nice sunshine with a brisk walk. Highly recommend going to go get a coffee while you wait! When I did pick up the car, it was beautifully polished and well clean inside. They even cleaned my kids car seats which I appreciated!! (photos show after vs before) I live in the mountains and have two huskies, so my car is basically always covered in dirt and fur. I get it detailed about once a year, and it was way overdue. I'd been to this shop for window tinting, and reviews were great - so I called them today, and they were able to fit me right in. I dropped it off around 3:30pm, and they delivered it back to me at work around 7:30. And wow, it looks almost better than new! Shiny and fur-free, really amazing. The guys are nice too, and it was reasonably priced at $350 + tip. I will definitely come back, maybe for a mini detail in a few months as they recommended. Waiting a year+ between detailings might be pushing it. lol read more

In a word, *Exceptional*. So, as a dad to a 6 and a 9 year old, we don't often (or ever) detail our car, because the good effects last on average 1-3 days - before the kids have sprinkled the interiors with cookie crumbles, "toys" - you'll be surprised with what passes for a toy in our house, tissue paper and the like. However, last week, I decided to get an appraisal for our 2015 Red Nissan Leaf - I made the decision Saturday, and the appraisal was scheduled for Monday at 1:30 pm. The amazing things were: 1. MVAD was able to accommodate me at such short notice - most other "premium" details places were at least 3 days out 2. They are closed Sunday, so I dropped my car off first thing Monday at 8 am. They suggested it would take ~3 hours and it was ready pat on time 3. I have a big bad dent on the rear left - its an old dent - circa 2016, and we've chosen to do nothing about it. It is relevant to this story, because after inspecting the car, MVAD recommended skipping the exterior detail - it would be an added expense - but not enough value - given the dent - I mean who even does this? - so impressed!! Oh - and after all this - the exterior looks "like new" - it is a 2015 car, and looks like tio just walked off the dealer's lot. Strongly, strongly recommended! We had the unfortunate situation of rats nesting in our engine and was very lucky to find Mountain View Auto Detail. They were able to fit us in the same day we called which was already wonderful. When we arrived, we looked at the engine together and it appeared as if hoarders had invaded our engine to the point where one could not even see the color of the engine fluid through the plastic container. There was dust, debris, orange peels, rate feces covering the entire area. I wish I had taken before and after pictures because our engine looked stunningly clean after the detail. I cannot thank them enough for their impeccable job and pleasant attitude. We even got advice on how to keep the rodents at bay and will most definitely be coming back here to do an interior detail when the time comes. read more

I was looking for a full service inside & outside clean & was for my car. I decided to try this place first time, for my brand new Model X. I was obviously nervous when I saw the two people who were unsure on how to drive the new Tesla, open the falcon wing doors etc. But they were excellent - they put their heart and soul into cleaning my car inside and out. They took their time, were not rushing to finish the job (even though I was waiting there). They were hospitable, offered me their home cooked snacks while I was waiting. The cleaned every nook and cranny inside my car, took out the baby seat, cleaned the trims, seats, dash etc. They washed the outside of my car multiple times, polishing & waxing at the end. Ultimately, my car came out cleaner than the day it was delivered to me (as it was raining on the delivery day and my car was all muddy from the rain and dirt ). I needed my 2013 Tesla freshened up and chose Mountain View Auto Detail based on reviews and location. They were quite responsive in quoting the job and had a spot that I choose within a day or two and they completed the job on time. The car looked like new. Paint, carpets etc. were all cleaned beautifully. When I inspected the car the next day the passenger side seat was not operating. I let them know, I took it back for them to look at and they found a plug that was unplugged during the cleaning. They fixed it an I was on my way. There's no question that I would use them again. Pro: I had some scuff marks on my bottom side door; I got from some hardened mud Mix with sand; I made a stupid mistake of trying to wipe it off, which created very noticeable scuff marks. Mountain View auto detail does do a clay bar treatment that "may" take off minor scratches. That was my hope. There is a significant difference! In my before and after picture, the scratch has dimensioned about 85-90%, not wholly gone. I do see a little left, but I think they did an admirable job. It took about 3 hours fairly pretty quickly as it was initially 4-5 hours. 200$ Con: Now, the incomplete part was excess mud and sand residue on the wheel fender and under my door; on the passenger side, it wasn't thoroughly cleaned off. Overall I was pretty happy with the results. I will try to remove the remaining scuff with solvents and buffers; auto detail is overall friendly, quick for a relatively moderate price. If your looking for deep auto body work for deep scratches I don't think it's the right place but for minor light scratches there very efficient. read more

I recently moved away from California, but I left my 2021 Kia Forte in the Bay Area until the lease expired. While I've had this team detail my car twice a year for several years, I'm writing this now because of the exceptional job they did when I "de-badged" my G37 about a month ago. The de-badging left behind lots of scratches and glue from the letters. I asked them to see if they could fix it...oh boy, did they fix it. And while they have always done a great job, I felt like I should specifically call out how well this paint correction and polish turned out. I have nothing but great things to say except with the beautiful polish I can now see where there is some paint degradation! The detailing inside and out are spectacular. They neatly put your personal items in boxes so they could thoroughly clean all the car pockets.
