Carwash review: This touch-free carwash is a hidden gem! I went in at 9PM and didn't have to wait . Chose the 15$ option. My car was covered with bug splatter and dust after a road trip. The wheels were completely covered in brake dust as well. This carwash uses significantly more soap than the other car washes in the area. It was able to get rid of 90% of the Arizona heat baked in bug splatter and all of the dust. It even blow dries your car after the wash. The wash was able to dislodge the remaining 10% of the splatter which I was able to wipe down with a microfiber cloth. For a touch-free brush-less car wash, that's pretty impressive. Pro Tip #1: The card reader was broken, so make sure you pay for the wash before you enter. Pro Tip #2: There are 2 cones at the start and exit of the car wash, if you have a big car with sensors, you might hear a lot of beeps, entering and exiting the car wash If you go in with a mindset that this is a touch free car wash and cannot get to all the nooks and crannies, you won't be disappointed -1 star for the broken card reader read more

Spent five minutes entering and reentering my Safeway number and trying to get the various card readers and scanner to work. Finally gave up and went inside, where card worked fine, but didn't get Safeway discount. And then auto shutoff on pump was so sensitive that I had to pull my $50 in gas in 2 second bursts. Brushless Car Wash, it washes your car nicely and at the end it has the air dryer. There are different packages but I like the $12 dollar one because it washes your rims. Nice clean area and restroom. They have different oils and extras for your car and they sale Cigarettes,sodas Beer and different snacks. read more

I've had a difficult time finding a gas station during the pandemic that still has the car wash running. I've used this car wash for years and it has rarely failed me. I came by today and the car wash was up and running. It had been updated to a new machine and the prices were a lot higher. I decided to go with the middle option that was $12. The highest priced car wash was $15. The car was almost dry but the hood could of been cleaner. The car wash was okay and got the job done. The gas prices are about the same with the rest of the gas stations in the area. You can use your Safeway gas rewards at this location. The employees are friendly and efficient. They have a small snack section inside and drinks and ice cream outside. This location is one of the only places that continues to keep their car wash up and running during this pandemic. UPDATE 2020. They now have great touchless/brushless car wash (markvii.net). This has become my favorite automated car wash place. The queue is pretty long on weekend afternoons (~30min+ wait for sure) but on weekday evenings there's rarely a wait for the car wash. Sometimes the car wash goes under maintenance, so it's a good idea to call before visiting. The gas pumps also seem upgraded recently with Apple Pay and contactless payments. read more

I went in for a refund and the cashier said they don't have the authorization to apply a rewash or refund. I have to come see the manager from 8am to 2 pm. What a huge inconvenience. So I drive out from San Mateo and used to go to the chevron on willow because it has a laser wash. Well this one has an even better touchless car wash system and in 1 month that other place broke down twice so I started coming here. This car wash is great. I don't mind the drive since I always come early before the sun really comes out during the weekends. I'll spray some meguires quick detail and microfiber the hell out my car before heading off. I'd take a star off for this employee blowing dirt all near my car while I was cleaning it. But he was doing his job and that would be petty of me. This review is for the car wash AVOID IT!! It won't completely remove the dirt on the surface of your vehicle. I've been coming to this car wash off and on for the past 3-4 years already. The previous visits, I've been able to get quite a decent wash until today. The machine just isn't powerful enough to lift even the most simplistic layer of dirt that a finger or wet cloth can remove. I went to the attendant to complain and his reasoning is that the machine is a "Touchless Car Wash- it has to be hand-washed". Really? Come on now- Ya? And so is Lozano's "Brushless" Car Wash: Which for twice as much is also a touchless car wash system. When my vehicle comes out of the wash line, all remnants of dirt is completely gone. Only it becomes "touched" when the ladies at the lot wipe down the water spots. This is the last time that I'm washing my vehicle here. You can still get gas here as it's about 2-10 cents cheaper than the closest station located on Grant/El Camino. read more

This car wash has gone completely down hill. I paid for the platinum $10 wash and my car was still filthy afterwards. There were still dirty maple leaf prints on the hood of my car after taking it thru the car wash. If I lightly rubbed the dirty leaf print with my finger it came right off....the pressure of the water in this car wash is non existent. When I brought this to the attention of the gas attendant, and asked for a refund since the car wash obviously did not work. He tried to to say a "touch less" car wash can't remove a dirty leaf print because it's touchless and I need to have my car "hand washed". We are not talking about bug guts or bird shit glued to my car, we are talking about just a dirt mark. I have gone to plenty of chevron touchless car washes elsewhere and they remove just about anything. The gas attendant was extremely rude and was sarcastic and smirking at me as he stated his bs "touchless" carwash line and refused to refund me so I could get the car properly washed elsewhere. As you can see in the pictures, my car is wet from having just taken it thru the car wash and it is still filthy and looks like it was never washed. I didn't get gas but I did get a car wash. I usually try to hand wash my car myself, but that's frowned upon during these drought times so I stopped in here because it's near work. There are 4 options ranging from $8 to $15 and I bought the 2nd most expensive. The card reader worked fine and it took about 20 minutes from the time I pulled in to the time I exited. There were 3 cars ahead of me when I pulled in but the one in front of me got tired of waiting and left before his turn. All in all, it was surprisingly good for a touchless. My rims have a mirrored finish and it got nice and shiny clean. All of the door/hood/roof panels were similarly cleaned very well and I did not see many waterspots on the glass. The only place that needed a touch-up was behind the door handles. I can see why some people think it is slow, though. Other places have a wash station and a separate blow dry station. Here, the dryer is mounted on the same robotic frame as the wash sprayers. So instead of 2 cars at a time in the tunnel getting washed/dried, this place only allows 1. read more

Liked the location, price was also pretty good compared to other gas stations nearby. They also have the quick machine car wash, it was $6, $8, and $10 depending on what services you want. This gas station doesn't take good care of its pumps. How do I know this? Because every time over many many years I've pulled into this station w/my 1998 Toyota Corolla, & unable to fill up. Why? Because the pump triggers always always ALWAYS slip. Having worked in gas stations before, I know that attendants have to bleed the pump (i.e, stretch the pump all the way you can, pull grommet back, let excess gas out). Please fix this. read more

I come to this gas station pretty often. The gas here is pretty average, not too high especially for the area. There are a lot of pumps so you can always find space to get gas, even at "peak" hours. I think it's in a nice area too which makes it a bit more friendly and more approachable from the other gas stations. Now for the car wash. The car wash is always super busy and it's probably because it's a pressure wash rather than those normal car washes that slap your car and scratch stuff. The thing about these pressure car washes is that they're going to miss a lot of stuff dirt wise. You can't expect a 5 star wash from a commercial car wash, but I do think overall for what it's worth, it's a decent car wash. I do have to wipe my car down a bit after but hey, it was worth it for something that'll get the big stuff off my car. Overall a nice gas station. I will probably continue to go to this wash assuming the gas prices stay around here, I'm in the area and there aren't any closer nice car washes. read more

I fill up my gas at this station 80% of the time. The price is not too bad as compared to surrounding areas(shell/chevrons nearby). I also get my tires filed up with air at this place, but lately their air gauge has been showing incorrect reading and is also broken now a days. read more

NO STARS--Absolutely the worst! No customer service and poor equipment. Here's what happened: I filled my car with gas, then decided to add a $15.00 carwash. Got my receipt and drove into the carwash line. When it was my turn (with 6 people behind me), the machine wouldn't take my carwash code from the receipt. I then stupidly decided to pay AGAIN by credit card since I was at a point where I couldn't get out of line. I waited and the machine was out of paper and didn't provide a receipt. Drove into the carwash and waited, nothing happened. The wash didn't start, after about 10 minutes (and people honking to get me to move) I drove through and parked. At this point, I've paid $30 and still don't have my car washed. The attendant refused to give me back my money. He called the owner who stated that I needed to come in during the week to speak with him. I work all week--but if I want my $30 back, I need to come back (during the workday) since the attendant couldn't do a refund or even give me two free carwashes ($15/ea) for use at a later date. This non-existent customer service ensures that I will never buy from Shoreline Chevron in Mountain View, CA. Plus their carwash takes ~12 minutes per car--so when there is a line, be prepared to really wait a long time. Avoid this station. read more

A clean, modern Chevron with a touch-free car wash. Like most Chevrons, the air and water pumps are free. The car wash does a good (but not great) job in cleaning the car. Specifically, it might not get completely clean the rear-end of your vehicle. Otherwise it does a fine job, and it won't scratch the paint of your car. read more

I had my car wash at this place on Feb 3, 2016. The person who attended me was heavy set with earrings pierced into both cheeks. His hair was curly. I came here in spite of bad Yelp reviews because I urgently needed a touchless car wash and I was nearby at the Best Buy on Charleston. I parked my car in the wrong spot at work and got carpet bombed by a combination of birds and some sort of fruit tree. The basic wash offered no less washing than the most expensive wash so I went with that. All I wanted was for the junk to be removed. I wasn't expecting this to be a $20 hand wash. So I get finished and there's still a lot of bird poop and mashed fruit on the roof of my car. So I went back to the booth to explain my situation. All I expected was for him to kindly offer me a second wash at no charge. It was clear that the sole purpose behind the wash went unfulfilled. He told me straight up that a touch less wash isn't good for a car that had that kind of issue. I said well is there anything you can do for me and he said no. As a business owner myself, I would have done something. For the cost of a second wash he would have gotten a positive Yelp review for stepping up. And if the wash still didn't remove all of the debris, I would have moved on. Unrelated to his unprofessional behavior and the poor wash, the washer itself is at least 15-20 years old. It is of a poor quality and the ground beneath it is eroding aggressively. It is time to upgrade their facilities and if they do, chances are the washes will be more thorough. So if you need an actual car wash or if you want good service, go elsewhere. If you simply need gas and you pay at the machine...it won't matter. read more

I have been coming to this station for years, for fuel, snacks and the car wash. For the most part everything goes well. More recently however, the touchless car wash has been getting worse. As of today, no longer worth my money. My car is a small SUV so there's no reason why it cannot get a decent wash. I paid for the gold wash this morning and my windows, top and hood of my vehicle are the only parts to get "washed". Decent car wash. It's cheap - $8 for the gold level one. My car was still a bit wet even after the blow dry. And I had a huge bird poop with lots of splatter on my passenger side door. Parts of it still didn't come off, but I guess I kind of expected that. So I just got a squeegee and finished taking the rest off. For the price, it's pretty decent. Very accessible esp since I was on my way back home from Shoreline Dog Park. Gas was pretty cheap, cheaper than most gas stations on El Camino. Attendent was very friendly and everything seemed very clean and maintained. There is also a carwash if needed. 12 pumps, clean, well lite station that is open 24/7 that has a small mart where you can but chips, sodas, candy, etc. The best part of this gas station for me is that they offer free water and air, which is great for me cuz i can stop in on my way back from the near by gym and fill my bike tires.
