DO NOT COME TO THIS BRANCH!!! I have been coming to this station for fuel and car wash for my company vehicle and once I had gotten stuck in the car wash after it broke down in the middle of a wash. It took the manager at least 15 minutes to fix it. Today, the same thing happened and the manager accused me of moving my vehicle in the middle of the wash and when I told him I put my vehicle on park and turned on the parking break so there was no way I could have moved. He then told me to just move my car around and not to "jump on me" meaning not to give him attitude so it triggered me in a bad way. The rude manager accused me of doing something wrong TWICE instead of apologizing for the machine turning off in the middle of the wash. I would never recommend this place nor I will ever come back. This is a large Valero gas station that has a foodmart and carwash. Very spacious with 3 islands and 6 pumps. Today, regular was $3.49/gallon, which is average for the bay area. So I pulled in to top off. Very clean station. Foodmart is big and well stocked. I didn't use the carwash because my truck is still pretty new. Most of the drivers in our fleet go gas up after work here so we bring in business , I went in to use the restroom after fueling up and someone is banging on the door mind you after the first attempt to come in I had said someone is in here , they attempted multiple times to open the door so when I came out there was a guy at door who is deaf and the reason I know this is because he was one of my passengers earlier that day , I said what the heck is your problem before I realized it was him but it's common sense if the door is locked there is someone in there , so when he saw how angry i was he pointed over to the guy at the register ! i was in there for maybe 3 minutes . Wow- from reading reviews it seems I may have dealt with the owner. Condescending and rude. This used to be my go to Valero for 20 years. I'll never go here again. When I requested help with the pump inside (the machine told me I had to go in for help) he asked the number. I was the only car there. I gave the wrong pump number by accident and he looked out at my car and kept asking - 'are you sure?'. He knew the pumps but he let me go back out to check anyway, with some 'I told you so comment.' We stopped by here to get gas & cigarettes. The pump was broken & would not accept our credit card. I went in to get cigarettes. I have used BOTH paper & digital coupons here, & now the owner informs me that they do not take coupons... at all. But, "What type of cigarettes would you like?", he shouted at me. Extremely rude. I said "None" & walked out. We went down the block to a different place, had no problem with the credit card, & bought cigs using a coupon. I had forgotten that the guy running this place is a real jerk. I don't know what his problem is. The last time I went in there & held up my digital coupon, he kept insisting they did not take digital coupons. I said "I was in here yesterday & the employee did successfully". He clearly doesn't have a good grasp of English because he told me to not believe everything I read. I didn't read it; I saw it in person l. because it was me using the digital coupon with one of his employees & it worked. Had a very bad experience today I have been going there for years and service has been just OK to say the least but today was bad! I like this Valero because never seems too crowded, I can always drive up and get to a pump, immediately. Right off of Moffett and close to either Middlefield or Hwy 101. There is also a car wash and a walk in mini mart. I just have to remember to stop off here on the way home, since it is close to work. read more

Gas is generally overpriced but I come here occasionally to fill and use the car wash. Today I got a car wash and it only started washing the back half if my car. I must have have pulled in too far but the light didn't tell me to stop in time. Probably my fault, no big deal. So I pull out and go inside to get a new code from the attendant. Says he can only give me the cheapest car wash. I refused saying I paid $2 more for the next one up. He offers me a refund which is cool so I say sure. Money refunded, awesome. I then say I still want to buy a car wash and he says no because I don't know what I'm doing and he doesn't have all day to go back and forth. He didn't want my money. I'm now stuck with a half wet soapy car because this guy wants to be a dick. He was really shitty about it so why fight a place that doesn't want your money. I've used this stupid car was probably 30+ times at least and I now regret using this gas station. It's not worth it to pay more to get less and a bad attitude. Go down the street to Rotten Robbies and save the money. read more

This review is for the car wash: I tried this place out after my friend recommended it. Overall, wasn't a bad experience (especially for the price) but it could have been better. -1 Star because although it was not a horrible wash for the price, my car didn't come out 100% clean and dry (I selected the premium package because I didn't want any wet spots) -1 Star because of poor communication and customer service. I thought I would be able to pay at the start of the car wash, but found out I had to pay inside the convenience store once I got to a spot where it was too late to turn around (it's a curvy road surrounded by islands to the front of the wash). Since I was unable to turn around, I had to leave my car at the start of the wash. I was paranoid of inconveniencing another potential washer. It didn't help that I was in like for a good 10 minutes because the two workers behind the counter were having a social conversation with the current customer one of them was helping. This store is close to where I work, I work midnight shift and often leave early to grab some snacks or a drink before work. I noticed that the store started closing earlier and earlier so I checked the hours on google. The store hours are listed open till 12:00 AM on google. But every clerk who works there closes and locks the store at 9:30 PM. They will literally sit behind the counter on the phone and watch people try to come in. Maybe they find it amusing. read more

I usually come here to fill up gas and get a car wash. I don't know why I come back. You have to pay at the pump or go inside for the car wash. It's convenient for me to pay at the pump since I have a baby, but they are almost ALWAYS out of receipt paper. I end up waking my sleeping baby every time to go inside for my receipt so that I can get a poorly done car wash. They should make it where you can pay at the car wash. I don't know what it is, but this is my favorite place to fill up my gas tank. The previous reviewer is right, the regular car washes used to be free if you purchase 8 gallons or more, but now they charge you 99 cents which isn't bad either. The other thing I like about this place is the fact that they require you to punch in your five-digit zip code if you use a credit card for at-the-pump purchase. This way, it offers the consumer just a little more protection than the gas stations which don't. IMHO all gas stations should adopt this policy to protect consumers! read more

I don't feel like they're unfairly priced, and if you get an app like Gas Buddy on your smart phone, you have alternatives if you feel like it's too costly at this place. This place sometimes has a rather "blah" feeling to it. I'm not entirely sure why I get that vibe. I think it was seeing the fountain machine out of order for several weeks (possibly even months) before it got fixed. They also do not give cash back, which was aggravating when I went in for that express purpose one day, assuming all gas stations gave cash back. As far as convenience stores go, I think I'll stick to my local 7-11, where the cashiers are super friendly. For gas? Meh, if this place is convenient I'll use it. If not, I won't. read more

Get gas here all the time. My tires air pressure were low so I went in and asked the guy to play turn on the air. "Where's your receipt?" "I don't have one but I got gas yesterday." Due to the lack of gas station options around this area I often have to settle by coming to this Valero. I don't know the "politics" behind their gas prices but they just seem a little steeper than the gas found a couple miles away. They have a huge mini mart, but beware a lot of their food is old. I was in desperate need of a car wash once so I opted to spend the $6 bucks to get it done here. If I knew I was going to spend $6 just to have water thrown at my car, I would have done it myself. If this is where you need to go, then go here, gas is gas anyways... but if you could help it, take the time to drive down to shoreline or rotten robbie down the street. read more

I was stranded and left my wallet at home. My lady called to pay for gas over the phone and the owner LITERALLY escorted me out of the station! Not sure if it had to do with it being night time or me being black, but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GIVING THIS GAS STATION ANY BUSINESS..AT ALL! Faulty equipment and useless staff. Car wash wasn't working, so I drove through it, parked, and went into shop to let them know and get a refund. All I got were arguments from the staff member that I must have done something wrong and that it was working. When I insisted I entered the code properly he pushed me to try again (which I didn't have time to risk, and didn't think would work as the console had accepted my code already). When I then insisted to get a refund as I was in a rush he started fumbling around and obviously didn't have the first clue what he was doing. I eventually just had to leave without the refund. Usually this station seems to be higher than some of the others around town, but Thursday evening this wasn't the case, for once--that was the first time I had ever refueled here. Very nice to have this Valero basically around the corner from my place. I can't say I'd want to use the car wash here, but the convenience store and gas are helpful (the convenience store I have yet to check out, however). This review is based of the night shift worker on the night of 09/16/15. I paid for gas and a carwash on 09/06/15 and when I went inside to tell the attendant that my car wash code didn't work when I entered it into the car wash, even though it was still valid (their policy is a car wash is valid for 10 days). He refused to help me and told me to just talk to the manager tomorrow. I come here weekly to buy gas and a car wash from here and the attendant treated me like I'm trying to get over on him over a car wash. Yes, A CAR WASH. I even told the clerk that he could look at my receipt and see that the code was within their policy but his only explanation was "Then why do we have ten days for the car wash?" And when I told him that this was extremely bad customer service he tells me "Get out". When I inquired about his name he said it so fast to make sure I wouldn't get it, 'Cheeto' or something along the lines of that. Don't expect any sort of help from this guy. He literally sits on his cellphone and barely acknowledges customers to the point where you have to get his attention. Valero really needs to consider who they hire as their attendants. I came in here today asking if there was a cash back option when a purchase is made and he pointed to a privately owned ATM machine in the station. I'm well traveled and decided not to use it since I do not trust this type of operation so I returned to the counter and told him that I decided not to use it. He apparently did not understand a word I said and actually had the nerve to wait on the person behind me ignoring me as if I was not even there. He pretended he didn't know any English. This review is for the carwash....which didn't work. I was in desperate need of a carwash and since I was filling up, I opted to get the (what I thought was free with fill up) carwash. Turns out I paid $4.99. Whatever, I needed the carwash and it was the same price if I had done it at the do-it-yer-dang-self place. So I drive into the carwash, put in my code, and pull forward as instructed. Suddenly, the sign says BACK UP and keeps flashing "BACK UP". So I backed up until I couldn't go any further. And it kept flashing. I pulled forward. I stopped. Nothing happened. Just kept flashing "back up". I ended up leaving with my dirty car and paying for nothing. Please get this fixed. read more
