Convenient location, there is never wait for me, maybe is coincidence but it is a very easy come and go transaction. Assorted snacks in the store, nothing to complain about, gas seems to be cheaper than around and my favorite part is that while putting gas I enjoy the view of the beautiful geraniums in the giant pots. I work on the other side of the freeway and this is the closest gas station to me. I like this gas station because it's one of the cheapest in the area and there is never a way (as there often is at the cheaper gas stations). Also, it's located on a corner so it's easy to get back on the road in either direction. The gas in Mountain View is a little more expensive than it is even in the city, so four stars for now until I see something exceptional to change my mind. read more

A huge thanks to Chavas and the repair team at Valero. I hit the curb in the parking lot and knocked off the side molding on my Honda Fit. He helped me right away. It was so bent the clips would no longer hold, so he glued it on and told me to come back in a couple days when they got more glue. I couldn't have made it to work without their help, and I'm grateful he worked so hard without charging me much at all. These are honest people and they helped me in my time of need. read more

Valero - a gas station with cars parked in front of it - Gas Stations Near Me - Mountain View, California

Gas station is fairly clean along with the bathrooms. Prices are pretty decent and competitive against Shell and Chevron gas. Aside from getting gas at the station, you can refill propane tanks, get your oil changed and even bring in your car for almost any repair job you need! Douglas the mechanic is pretty nice, friendly and will almost fix anything wrong with your car at a very reasonable low price compared to other mechanics in the area. Down side with that, it seems like everyone comes here for car service. I've never been here during the day when he is not working on more than 4 cars at a time! Although he has 3 other mechanics that work for him the place still gets impacted. Wait time greatly increases as the day progresses so when you get here be prepared to wait! There are chairs available to wait out side for you. Sometimes he will just ask you to leave your car and pick it up later. Just call the him ahead of time to see if your car is ready, if you do leave it. Best tip I have is get this guy right when he opens! You've got like an hour or so window before the crowd starts to pile in. read more

Hold your breath when you walk in this place stinks! It is the closest to my house I use to like going but last week I paid with credit card on a pump and the attendant ended up putting it on another pump # and the lady who was there started to pump the gas at $6.05 the attendant stopped her and made me drive my car over and fill the rest up even thou I told him I wanted premium he said he can't reimburse me, he did give me 6.05 but as for the gas I had to take the cheap stuff :( I will not be back. read more

I get gas here frequently and its always been your average place. I can get in and out easily and no issues. Then this morning I pulled in and realized I left my wallet on the counter at home. I dug around in my bag and found a crumbled up fiver and some quarters. I felt like a kid going in and paying for $6.85 worth of gas... I sheepishly said something about my wallet being at home. The guy smiled at me and asked me if I needed more gas and said I could pay tomorrow. That was so unexpected and incredibly nice. I had enough gas to get home with the little bit I was buying and I'm definitely going to continue to patronize this place. read more

I'm advocating a boycott of this gas station. I'm an Asian driving a Honda Fit with pretty awesome credit. After swiping my card and entering my zip code, the pump insisted I prepay. I asked the operator why I had to prepay and he said all the pumps make you prepay if you use credit cards. I returned to the pump and asked the white guy on the opposite side of the pump if he used a credit card. He said he did. I then asked if he had to prepay. He said he did not. You do the math. They sold me a used propane tank. Turns out it was well past the tanks expiration date. Seems like they don't have very much integrity here.

Be careful which pump you park at here! The auto garage opens up directly into the pumping area, and some mechanic drove one of the cars he was working on full speed in reverse, into my passenger side door -- luckily, my friend had spotted the car start reversing in the side-view mirror, and decided to wait until it finished before getting out. Otherwise, if he had gotten out without looking, he would be dead -- crushed into the side of my car by the mechanic. The car shop's owner gave me his own insurance info and driver's license, and assumed full responsibility for the crash, as the car mechanic was unable to produce a driver's license or insurance information. Big headache to get my car fixed, as the car shop owner's insurance company was very unpleasant -- that's what I get for pumping gas in front of the car shop's garage bay doors. I avoid this gas station now, and go to the Valero on San Antonio & Middlefield instead. If you really have to use this Valero, I recommend using a pump far away from the garage. read more

It's a perfectly acceptable gas station, but the guys out front hustling "FW1 waterless wash and wax, just like they use in Nascar!" are annoying. Maybe the stuff works great, but the last thing I want when zipping in for gas is some overly sincere guy insisting on shaking my hand and doing a product demonstration on my car. read more

It's just another gas station really, but convenient to my home. I bought a tank of gas for $34.42 using my debit card, and they put a hold on my account for $125! That's almost $100 more of MY MONEY they're holding, that I can't use until the payment goes through. This is a small mechanic's shop ran by a very nice guy Douglas. He provides a great service for the buck. Compared to other mechanics in the area his services are cheapest! He can do everything from oil change to major stuff like engine. The shop is open on Saturdays, which is convenient! Definitely a great deal! read more

I go to this station often on my way home from work to gas up. Several friends have gone there for repair work on their cars and said they were very happy with the service. They don't try and sell you something you don't need. They're honest! I've always received good friendly service and recently had my car smoged there. Quick and convenient. Douglas is the guy you need to talk and trust for all your repairs on your car. Bring your car, listen to his advice and what to repair, and go from there. I live in the neighborhood since 2 years and five of my neighbors working with him for the last 15 years advised me to work with Douglas. The other guys working with him are very professional too, especially the guy working at the gas station who is always very polite, perfect white ironed shirt and take care of you when you need to come early in the morning to leave your keys for Douglas. This station is very tricky. It says $3.90 for gas but it was really $4.05. It seems like the lowest price but it is really the highest price. It's only 3.90 if you get an expensive car wash. If i could give this place O stars I would. Doug the main mechanic is way too aggressive to be in customer service. I honestly though he was going punch my husband. We dropped off his truck last week because it was leaking. He paid 180 for them to change the hose. Because according to Doug, the main mechanic thats what was wrong with the car. Today he dropped it off again because it was still leaking. He spoke to Doug once again and he started playing the guessing game maybe it's this or that. So my husband said "I'll leave it here so you can check it out I'll be back this afternoon". We went to pick it up and we get there Doug said he hadn't even looked at it because they were paving around the pumps. He go so worked up when my husband asked him why he didn't mention it this morning. He got right in my husband's face, was screaming and pointing his finger. I got scared since we had our kids with us. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. Worst experience ever. Our children didn't need to witness that. read more
