Cheap gas, cold Slushies, eclectic staff (except for the b*tchy blond - story below), and a great…read morelocation. I've always loved stopping here except for this one time two weeks ago. I pulled in to fill up my lovely car, put the nozzle into the tank opening and started to pump. The gas pressure was so hard that the nozzle flew out of the opening of the gas tank and started spraying everywhere. Gas covered me, my dress, my hair, my shoes, inside of my car (the top was down), all over the outside of my car and spewed all over the ground. I picked up the nozzle and managed to get it back into the tank opening only to have it kick out again. Third try and I had to forcefully nurse the gas into the car. I was on my way to an event so I had no time to go home and shower. I moved my car to a parking space and got out to report the incident to the staff only be greeted by this b*tch asking if I was the one who sprayed gas all over the ground. I told her what happened and she started yelling at me saying it was my fault. I calmly explained that in my entire life I had never been assaulted before by a gas pump and that their gas pressure was clearly too high. It was not a pleasant exchange and, soaked with gas, late for my event and throughly upset, I left. I've been back since for Slushies, but will never buy gas here again. If you decide to take your chances with these vicious pumps, make sure you have time for a shower afterwards just in case.

Good god, $4.99 a gallon? I get it's Los Altos. Place down the street is $3.70. Wowread more

On August 24, 2026, I purchased approximately five gallons of 91 gas from this station. My tank…read morecontained no more than one gallon of fuel beforehand, and the vehicle had been running smoothly. Shortly after refueling, the engine began stuttering badly, and the Check Engine Light came on. Based on the timing, I believe the gasoline may have been contaminated or of poor quality. The pump nozzle also repeatedly failed to remain locked while I was refueling. I recommend avoiding this station. Edit 2: It has been over 1 week and this gas station and Shell refused to answer my reports. Avoid this station. Edit 1: I have filed the report to corporate at the link. The the report to corporate has the full unredacted receipt. It should be trivial for corporate to track down the exact transaction and fuel stall.

Just to update the reason for my 1-star review, a few years ago this Shell installed a new car wash…read morefrom Loop Neighborhood, a dishonest company in the East Bay (or possibly India) with a dysfunctional phone app. I ordered a couple car washes that didn't work at all when I arrived in person -- scanning the QR code did nothing, and the orders didn't generate any wash codes within the app. I called Loop customer service (they never answer the phone) and left a message, which went unanswered. I then wrote a message that went unanswered as well. I ended up having to call my credit card company to force a refund out of them, which worked. But it shouldn't have come to that. I'm sharing the blame with Shell because they partnered up with these crooks on purpose (throughout several Bay Area stations), and because their customer service was equally unresponsive.
