Disclaimer: This review is NOT for service, but for pricing. I called many places near me in mountain view to get a quote for brakes and rotors for all four wheels. The average price was about $1000 for the service. I had two quotes at $750 and $650. De Anza quoted me $1539.45. Absolutely the highest quote and quite frankly mind boggling. New brakes and rotors costs around $250-400 for parts. It is an hour and a half job. I ended up getting new brakes and rotors for $647.80. That's $891.65 less than De Anza. More than double!!! Ask yourself why that is. Are De Anzas breaks made of gold? Anyways. Was very shocked at this quote and had to let people know this is undoubtedly the most expensive shop in the area. I brought my car to this place to get a tire that had a nail repaired. Four days later the same tire had low air again. I returned to this place where they fixed it so they could check what the problem was. They wanted to charge me $25 just to check what I had, when I had already paid $37 for the first repair of the patch. I understand that if the problem was something else I would have to pay for the repair. But if they didn't do the patch right and that's why the air keeps coming out, I don't see why I would have to pay them more money. It's their responsibility to fix what they did in the first place. I took my car to another place to get it repaired. They confirmed that the previous patch was done poorly. With my own eyes, I could see when they put it in water and bubbles were coming out of that patch. I feel compelled to update my last review because I went back to De Anza Auto to get the remaining maintenance items taken care of and I once again cannot say enough great things about this shop and Mo. When I brought my 4Runner in at first, Mo gave me a laundry list of things to deal with. It was a bit overwhelming but we made a plan to tackle some of the non urgent (but still important) items after my trip to Tahoe. I am usually on top of maintenance for my sports cars and have very high standards for specific and specialty shops I take my BMW/Porsches to so honestly I was a bit embarrassed at the state of the SUV. Part of me couldn't believe I let it lapse and the other part of me frankly didn't know you could have busted front axle boot covers that would catastrophically kill your car (!!!!) Mo knew my timeline as we wanted to take our dogs out over the weekend and just moved so constantly need the SUV and literally finished like 15 things in less than two days. Not only did Mo take care of the major things we came for (brake fluid, axle boots etc) but he did a phenomenal job over minor things that I simply complained about but didn't really know what to do with. IN ADDITION, this part really wins me over, Mo takes things seriously. He may be a funny and jokester kind of personality but when I complained about small noises I heard, he took extra time to investigate. As you know it's quite typical for cars to act up when you're driving it but act like an angel when you take it to the shop. Overall, I'm so happy I found a shop that I trust to give me the real story and the bottom line on my car, as well as have the expertise to take care of a variety of cars (his tech identified the noise I heard ASAP on my 4Runner and said it was coming from the differential). My first reaction like many was to take it to the Audi service center and see if they can fix the issues. Yet again a great experience at de Anza auto. This time around we worked on my 2006 tundra 4x4. Complete 4x4, off-road build done with the parts I provided. These guys have the knowledge and experience to work on a wide range of vehicles, and each of the techs there have their expertise. Lot of the parts I brought in needed some patience to go over the instruction manuals and stuff which they were great at. For any custom work you plan on doing, I would recommend you do thorough research yourself on installation etc before going in. so you can request things to be done as required. Custom parts tend to fit differently on different vehicles and don't go on like the oem ones.
