What I was quoted as a two-week car repair turned into almost two MONTHS (multiple delays, repeated broken promises), with the original quote for costs almost doubled by the end. And when I finally got my car back, the work wasn't even completely done, which to be fair, has a valid reason (paint needs time to cure before applying decals, etc.), but they didn't communicate that with me in the beginning. I went through a lot of stress as a consumer putting my trust in a business, and was dumbfounded that a legit business could show such lack of professionalism and care. Savi seems like a nice guy and is a smooth talker that appears to be knowledgeable enough about the business. And in the beginning, the communication was good... till deposits had been made and the car was in their possession. That's when the communication got bad, response time especially got slow when I inquired about the status of my car after the initial proposed "ready date" had expired (this was NOT during the holidays, it was during business days). When I finally heard back, they raised the cost and extended the "ready date" significantly without giving me a chance to prepare (rental car, transportation to work, etc.). They got quiet again, when I asked for the detail about the work that had been done in the first 3 weeks. Savi opted to have a phone conversation to explain, probably cuz it sounds better than putting in writing that not much work was done on my car during that time, mainly just getting or waiting for quotes on additional car parts (the workers he had left in charge while he was out of town may not have been capable of doing certain tasks... but why should the customer suffer because of this). When your car is at the repair shop, every day without your vehicle is precious, and can be costly if your insurance doesn't cover rental car fees. ACE didn't seem to respect that. And to make matters worse, the communication was repeatedly delayed as well, making it hard to plan things (car rental, transportation to work, etc.) without being given an update in a timely manner, which is all I really needed... in hindsight, it probably wouldn't have mattered cuz the "ready date" they would give me was never accurate anyway. I understand there are some things that are out of their control (such as the holidays, or needing to order extra parts, or even delays in shipping parts)... but even considering those things and giving them the benefit of the doubt, THEY WORKED UNIMAGINABLY SLOOOOW with no sense of urgency for the customer. The good news is, they do seem to be capable of doing quality work, I have not found any big problems with my car so far (hence why I'm still giving them 2 stars). But the overall experience still gives me nightmares today. Even factoring in extended wait times during the holidays, the estimated quotes for costs and time were EXTREMELY off, borderline deceptive. And the lack of communication was even worse, and brought so much anxiety. The communication got slightly better toward the end, but I had to initiate the inquiries to push it along. And the "ready date" was extended yet again by three more days (after I was reassured with such confidence in late December of no more delays). Be warned of my experience, and decide for yourself if you want to take your chances and hope to be one of the lucky ones they don't screw over or neglect the needs of. Even if it doesn't cost you money (cuz you're working through insurance), it may cost you your sanity! Thanks Savi, for at least fixing my car... even if the process was long and painful for me. I brought my car in for damage to my front passenger bumper (plus damage to some trimming pieces), and I'm happy with the result I got. The price I got quoted for was competitive, and Savi kept an open line of communication with me throughout the whole process. He was very friendly and kept me informed on next steps. My car has a few custom parts, and they were more than happy to work with them. Before returning my car, they also washed it and vacuumed the interior! My only complaint is minor chipping in the bumper, around the areas where it would snap onto the car. My experience with Auto Collision Experts and Savi and crew was awesome and I came away a totally happy customer. Don't be scared by the need to get an appointment before you have them see your car. After seeing it first-hand, they're just organized and want to schedule things so that you'll have the attention you need when you first onboard. Yes, they're busy, but they're organized and they do the work on time. His team took pictures, gave me an estimate, and I was happy with the estimate because it was $1,000 less than an estimate I got from nearby. $1k makes a difference when you're paying out of pocket. That said, anytime you get body work, it's going to be pricey. So now I'm wary - will I get what I pay for? I like the price, but you never know what it will look like. They estimate 8 to 10 business days to fix. It takes 7 business days. I get the car, anxious to see what they did, and it looked PERFECT. I was so grateful. And then the kicker is, his team and he reviewed the damage and saw that some of it was just a coat of the other car's paint, there was no damage and they just needed to clean the part off. They proactively decided to save me money on the work (work that I already agreed to in the estimate) and they knocked off a big chunk of the cost because of the saved labor and saved cost in the part. They did right by me. Updating my review--but the results are the same! Savi once again delivered to my expectation. Many people would consider my 13-year old car a beater at this point, but it certainly doesn't look like it thanks to Savi and his team! Being as old as it is, I hesitate to get significant work done on it, but given how fairly Auto Collision Experts prices their work and services, it's worth it. I wouldn't have gotten it done if it didn't make sense given the value of my car, and even Savi understood that when we were discussing the estimate. I'm glad he could respect where I was coming from in that regard! Savi was easy to work with as always--prompt with his communication, clear on what he can deliver, and when. Scheduling was efficient, and he was flexible with me when I had to make a change to the drop off. All my appointments were met on time, and maybe about 15 minutes max. And Savi Singh's commitment is not towards offering high quality or even decent service. Had gone to his business the other day and I stood waiting right in front of Savi Singh while he kept talking on the phone with a friend of his (discussing some personal stuff). I asked him if he could help me, he asked if I had an appointment. To which I replied I did not know about taking appointment and that I had just walked in. To this, Savi Singh replied, Hang tight, and he resumed his conversation with his friend on the phone. I stood right in front of him for a few minutes (maybe 3-4 minutes) while he kept talking personal stuff with his friend. Had it been a business discussion or a client he was talking to I would totally understand. Absolutely. But treating customers in this insulting way by having a private call during business hours I felt was very unprofessional. Repairs always take way longer than you want to, but Savi was patient with me and explained the details of what was happening with my Toyota Tacoma, and even pulled a few levers on his end to bring some of the repair costs down. There were times at which I would have liked more frequent or proactive updates and clearer timelines on when work would be done, but I understand that sometimes a shop just has to wait for parts, or there are things unforeseen that come up as you're making repairs.
