I am so glad I did. I called him , set up time for appointment and few days my granite was like brand new. Not only he repaired chips occurred on the edge of the countertop in the area where pots and pans being put in the cabinets for storage, he also repaired corner of the granite which was broken while it was fabricated. It was glued together but was very visible and noticeable. Every time I touched it or looked at it , I was thinking - there got to be somebody out there with a magic hands. Cesar was that one !!! His pricing was very fair. The work was completed in just a few hours. I highly recommend him. If you have chips on the granite - stop looking and call Cesar, you will be glad you did !

My wife and I are so happy with our recent kitchen remodel with 2nd avenue design! A friend of ours…read morerecommended 2nd avenue to us after they remodeled their kitchen (custom cabinets, quartz countertops). We weren't sure what we could afford since we had a modest budget, but Mike came out and discussed the possibilities of our kitchen design. He followed up with drawings and several budget options. I never thought I'd be so excited by drawings, but they helped us to help visualize what the kitchen could be before the work even started. We worked with him on the design, and soon after his crew got started. They communicated well on what to expect, stayed on schedule, and the work is beautiful! His crew has such a high attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship. I felt like he treated the job like his own kitchen. I get so many compliments on my kitchen now, and continue to recommend 2nd avenue design - thank you so much for my amazing kitchen!

I engaged 2nd Avenue Design by email in February. I specifically asked if they did engineering…read more Michael at 2nd Ave responded by email saying, "yes this is something we do a lot." I subsequently met with Michael. He came to my home and we discussed the project. He said he would write a bid for the job. This is where we started to have problems with communication and follow up. I had to ask for the bid after it was due. Miraculously he sent it after I asked. I decided to use 2nd Ave and gave a deposit to start the process with the agreement that work would begin by June 1st. Between my first contact with Michael at 2nd Ave and now (July 15th) I've had to hound him for updates and communication. He said he was having a difficult time finding an engineer. He brought one by finally (an engineer who he never worked with) and the engineer kept asking me what I wanted and he had no solutions except to put large obtrusive posts and beams in after jackhammering my foundation. Clearly this is not what I discussed with Michael and it was clearly a lazy solution for the engineer. No work has ever been started and my last text to Michael on July 5th was ignored until July 14th when I texted again and asked for my deposit back. I'm sure 2nd Ave is good at ripping out your old kitchen and putting a new one in when it's just new cabinets and appliances. But they definitely are not your company if you need any thought put into your project. I would not recommend 2nd Avenue Design for any project other than anything very simple.

Most all well rated contractors have been slammed with work recently, and we had to be understanding with some last minute scheduling changes. However, Rudy kept us in the loop the whole time, and really made sure we we're happy and taken care of. My house looks great after they redid some stucco work another contractor botched. Couldn't be happier!

We have certain colors that are very similar, and we were clear on which paints to use on the outside or inside, but the painter was not very careful. He mixed up the colors and overall did a mediocre job. He even cleaned his brushes in our guest path and scratched our sink up pretty badly. Rudy was honest that this type of work is not their core competency, and after this experience, my wife and I fully agree.

Eric replied in no time and emailed an estimate not long after. This job involved drywall (delete a door and add a large arched opening), electrical, custom cabinets, shelves, interior/exterior paint, and a touch of flooring. Eric and his guys did an amazing job. My wife loves the closet they converted into a reading nook. We always felt comfortable with the crew in our house. They worked around our schedule and Eric was always available for a quick check-in so I knew where we were with each step. The two big standouts were the price staying the same even though he did a few extras, and Salvador nailing that 8' high 6' wide arch! We couldn't be happier and would definitely use them again.

We replaced…read morethe flooring, painted the entire house, updated bathrooms, put in a new fireplace, updated pantry and closets, and did a complete kitchen remodel. The kitchen required removing a wall to open up the closed dark kitchen and adding an oversized bar. Eric was extremely timely and professional in getting us a comprehensive quote. He was also extremely affordable as well. He started work right away and did a phenomenal job. We gave him pictures of what we wanted for the kitchen and fireplace, and he replicated the style to a T - which most contractors can't do without a designer helping them. He also was able to design and order custom cabinets for our pantry. Eric was extremely detail oriented throughout the process, checking in with us as needed for style and safety decisions, and always updated us on cost or possible delays. He also was insanely knowledgable about every area of construction such as dry wall, plumbing, electrical, fabrication, flooring, tiling, etc. This guy really is a one man show - he can do it all. Eric did have a few subcontractors help him with the job and they were always fantastic to work with as well. He knows quality workmanship and partnership. He finished the job in a timely timeframe and our home is gorgeous and the workmanship is quality - for a great price. If you need any renovations done, Eric with E.L. Construction is the way to go. Highly recommend!
