I bought a North Face Winter coat and was so excited! When I got home I noticed the hood had snaps that were meant for the fur attachment on the hood but didn't come with it. I went to the store the next day and explained how I purchased a coat the day prior and believe I am missing a part of the jacket. That is when Ken came over and remembered finding the missing piece the night before and kept it behind the counter just in case I came back. This store is excellent. It's like TJ Maxx meets outdoor gear. Which makes sense as they're owned by the same parent company. We've come across a lot of great finds at Sierra Trading Post, and always enjoy digging through the racks. Between a Merrel rain jacket, workout leggings, packing cubes, Smart Wool socks, Sorel winter boots and Under Armour hats, every trip here is a winner. You do need to be prepared to dig through racks, they are a discount store after all. But if you're up for a hunt, you can find some treasures. read more

Some of the workers and customers do not treat their employees and cashiers with respect. This one elderly lady mocked a worker with her friend when that worker could not enunciate correctly and ridiculed along the way of checking out. A worker creeped another worker out about something that should not be joked about. At the most difficult time of one worker, that worker was mocked about hydration by a coworker refused to let that worker get dinged up for water even when knowing that that person hadn't drunk water for a long time. Other than that, they're nice people. Everyone does their job diligently. If the code on the tags were updated, look up will be much easier. Easy coding development skills. read more

This place was a big disappointment. I love shopping at TJ Maxx, so since this is owned by the same company I had my hopes up. I found this location to have lots of outdoor wear, but limited other items. It was all casual wear which is ok, but nothing I would wear and the prices seemed too high for the merchandise. They have a small selection of shoes and the sizes were really limited. They seemed to carry more men's wear, but again it seemed like it was rejects from another store and it was way overpriced. I had been by this store many times and thought for sure I would score some cute stuff like I have at TJ Maxx but no luck. read more

I stopped in after hearing all the radio advertising. The commercials said they were part of the TJ Maxx family and since I love that store I figured I'd try this place out. This place is pretty awesome. It's just like an REI but with a touch of TJ Maxx. All sorts of camping gear and apparel. I'm big into the outdoors and this will be my new go to store Great customer service. Yvette was my cashier and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. I left with a nice pair of shorts for 13 dollars. Can't get any better than that read more

This is a great place to get outdoor clothing and supplies. It carries all the great brands like Carhart, Spider, Northface, etc. they have sleeping bags, tents, boots, or anything for the outdoors. Some of their clothing is out dated,but it doesn't matter when it's half of the regular sales price. Great for winter coats as well. I visit and received the store often! The prices, selection, and cleanliness was stellar, but the staff was beyond fantastic!! I was first greeted by an employee named Naomi, who made great conversation, and had a smile that glowed through her mask! Naomi answered a number of my questions, and asked me questions to get more information from me! One associate, Alyssa, assisted me in selecting a gift for my father! Her kindness went above and beyond. A different associate, Maya, helped me check out and answered all of my questions about the TJX rewards card (which she eloquently described as a freely funded Christmas club). One associate, Caroline, made me feel welcome by cracking jokes and helping me locate the food section (she was seriously one of the funniest people I have ever met!), those few jokes she made will last a lifetime. When I asked for assistance in the candle section, an employee named Sarah Seifert, was able to accurately describe the scents of each candle and made wonderful and humorous conversation with me. Her personality glowed even during our brief connection. Each associate has incredible charisma that made my experience great! As I stated, the staff made great conversation, taking what could have been a bland shopping trip to the next level. Wonderful store, even better community. Thank you Sierra! I pass this place several times a week. I didn't learn what was actually inside until I complimented my co-worker on her shirt, and she told me she bought it at Sierra Trading Post! Surprised, I asked what on earth they sell there? As the review mentioned below... a bunch of random stuff, but a lot of outdoorsy stuff too! Also, Athletic Shoes, luggage, pet supplies, snacks (mostly healthy snacks), fishing gear, you name it! I'm not a big fan of going through racks of miscellaneous clothes, but I found myself in here today during my lunch hour, tried on three items - a shirt, a dress, and a pair of workout capris and they all fit. Sadly, I didn't NEED two of the three, so I left with a new pair of workout pants for under $15!!! Next time I need gym shoes, I'm checking this place out first. They don't have a HUGE selection, but they have name brands and they're reasonably priced. I suggest checking this place out just to browse...you never know what you'll end up leaving with! read more

Based on what I had heard about it, I really wanted to like this store. But it is organized so poorly and there is such a hodgepodge of brands, I ultimately left without purchasing anything. When I asked an employee where the gloves are, for example, the person mentioned three separate places throughout the store. The employee said they even asked their boss why isn't it in just one place - and was told that they would rather have the customer have to scour the store instead (not exactly customer-focused in my book). And they do have occasional Mountain Hardwear (and the like) items on the racks, but also so many low-quality brands I had never heard of before. Definitely not in the same category as REI, more like TJ Maxx in that nothing is organized by manufacturer - just everything by size; thus necessitating having to go basically through every item.
