This was one of the best experiences I've had! There was a lady working, I missed her name, she was so helpful! She measured my feet, looked at my arches, and watched me walk. The very first pair of shoes I tried on were heaven! I never had shoes feel so good! We tried a few more on but I was set immediately! I also was interested in another pair of shoes that they did not have in my size so she ordered two sizes so I can try them on! They were so nice and knowledgeable. I've been needing new shoes for 7 years, yikes! I was so happy to see that a shop in Plainfield had opened up and was locally owned. I popped in with my son to get some new kicks for work and play. Andy helped me try on literally 20 pairs of shoes since I couldn't decide! Everything in the shop is made by Andy with a quality vintage feel. There is also an awesome workout room in the back where they offer fitness classes. There were even sanitized toys in an area for my son to play with while Andy and I talked shoes and mileage. I'm so happy I got these New Balance shoes recommended by Andy. I've shed almost an entire minute off my mile since I've been wearing them. I wish I had gone sooner to get them. We will definitely be back when it's time for a new pair (or when I just want to get some sweet new shoes sooner than 7 years from now )! read more

I picked my daughter up from track practice around 5:10 pm on 1/30/2024 and was told by her coach she needed running shoes. Her coach suggested that I go to DNA. Arrived at DNA around 5:30 there was one customer and one associate in the store. I was not greeted when I walked in. Me and my daughters took a seat waiting for the associate to become available. Ten minutes have passed no one else is in the store and still no contact from the employee stating he will be with us when he is finished. The customer that he was helping was making a return and from there conversation he was looking for her receipt on the computer. Once he found her receipt, he brought her out another pair of track spikes to try on. He walked her over to the seating area where we were, pulled her shoes out of the box for her so she could try them on. Still the employee said nothing to us. He then proceeded to watch her try on the shoes leaning on the wall as she did so. At this point he is making it very obvious that he does not care to help us. He could have said I'll be with you guys in one moment or what brings you in today, to have us start looking while he finishes up. I told my girls to get up so we could leave as we were heading to the door the employee finally said I'll be with you in a moment. No thank you, I will not spend money where I am not respected. read more

Such a great shopping experience! Stopped in to see what my options were to replace my running shoes,. Although I have shopped here before, I've never bought shoes and I was so happy at the service provided. The associate watched me walking both with shoes on and with shoes off, assessed the wear on my running shoes, and then gave me five or six options to try on so I could make the best decision based on my comfort. Unfortunately our experiences were less than satisfactory the times we were in the store. We felt that the sales person was rude and only tried to sell shoes that were on the more expensive end or that they were trying to get rid of. When my husband asked if they had shoes within a certain price range in his size his response was "bro, not in your size". Um I'm sorry, is he pledging your frat? Don't call customers bro. My husbands gone in twice this past week and both times he was told the same shoes were different price (no they weren't on/off sale). Sadly, we've been told by others that this has also happened to them. read more

I always had aches and pains in my knees and shins and figured maybe it was my pair of shoes causing the problem so I came to DNA in December 2017. When I visited the store my step and run was evaluated and I found out the shoes I had were not the type I should have been using due to me having a high arch. I bought the pair of Brooks the sales clerk said would be my best fit and they have been amazing so far! I haven't had any aches or pain since visiting DNA and getting a new pair of shoes, I'm so excited to continue to run without those pains I had before! She took the time to observe his gait and brought out 3 pairs of which the grandson found one to his comfort and liking. I went into the store after I had ACL reconstruction. My doctor recommended a stability shoe. I thought it would be difficult because I was on crutches for them to assess my walk and everything. Andy helped assess what I needed and had 3-4 great options. When I started using the new shoes, I had was able to immediately tell the difference.
