They have their main restaurant and then a separate bar in the back "Night Shift" which is a super cool, hipster speakeasy type vibe. For lunch I had the firecracker shrimp (insanely good) and the shrimp tacos. We got drinks at night at Night Shift- try the Dealers Choice! Three and a half stars - visited both the coffee shop and the restaurant on a rainy mid-week day. We chose the restaurant to visit because of the well done menu that had clearly listed the gluten free selections that they had. When we went, it was after the lunch rush, and yet we still had the sense that we were bothering or rushing our server. After placing our drink orders (and being given water that we hadn't ask for, but this is a minor annoyance/probably just restaurant policy), we were never once asked if we wanted refills (and frankly, the water was never refilled either). I gave the waitress specifics on my allergies and she was able to confirm that they have a dedicated gluten free fryer (which is pretty amazing and great news). Though she also took care to note that there was mayo in something when I asked if was dairy free, and I had to ask her to talk to the kitchen to see if they (for some reason) added dairy to their mayo (that would have been a first. I ordered the deviled eggs and a side of the sweet potato fries. Hubby ordered the southwest salad. The fries were ok, they come with ketchup, they were fairly well done. No salt to speak of, but they brought some out when I asked. No plain mustard, no Dijon mustard, only honey mustard (not my kind of mustard). The deviled eggs were also just ok (as described here by several others before me). Mostly just taste of the scallions and the salt that I added. Hubby's salad was, as our 20-something daughter would say, 'mid'... so to better describe it, it was Trader Joe's southwest salad with perhaps marginally better lettuce and crisper tortilla strips. It's an open seating bar type area where we were, although there appears to be other rooms for service. We were unfortunately seated by a door that kept being opened and closed so it was quite drafty. It was ok, overpriced for what it was, but if we were close I would probably go back simply for the gluten free fryer. I previously ate here last year and was looking forward to coming back. Disappointed this time. We ordered an appetizer, a burger medium and the fish sandwich. Our meals came out with no appetizer. The person bringing our food checked and said our app went to another table. Honestly I think they totally forgot to place the order. The burger was dry and well done. The best part of the meal was the fries. Our server never checked on us or refilled our water or drinks. She gave us our check and we waited 10 minutes but never saw our server again. Loved this place before we even went to it. Everything from their website, the menu, the atmosphere, staff, food and drinks is phenomenal. I mean have you ever seen cuter décor and wallpaper?! We stopped in on both nights that we were in town and we were not disappointed. We were seated pretty quickly, chose to sit outside because of COVID and the weather was great. Loved the daily happy hour menu for food and drinks. We ordered the SideBar Fries that were absolutely delicious. After leaving the main level bar, a bartender followed my friends and I calling me racist and homophobic slurs drunkenly. After he was done spewing his hatred he wanted to fight. He claimed it was about his tip, but his service was horrible. He kicked out my friend because he had a "fake ID", even though he has been 21 for months. After kicking him out he was asked to check it again and resorted to violence on the girls in our group pushing and shoving. Love this spot! Been here twice so far, once for brunch and once for dinner and cocktails. I've really enjoyed everything we've tried. This place is great for happy hour and cocktails. They have some really fun drink combinations and I love their creative cocktail names. As far as food goes, the Salmon Eggs Benedict is some of the best I've had in a while and they don't skimp on the hollandaise. It was our first visit here and came for brunch on a Sunday. The Bloody Mary and huevos rancheros were very good. I think the best huevos rancheros I've ever had. My one issue was with the bathroom. It was filthy! Smelled like urine and very dirty. Felt like a gas station bathroom. It needs to be updated fixture wise, new toilet and sink, flooring and cabinets. A totally redo and then properly cleaned hourly. The toilet brush holder had green and black stuff growing on the base and looked like it hadn't been replaced in years. This almost ruined the whole experience for me. If a bathroom could be this bad makes you wonder about how they keep the kitchen...If they fix the bathroom I would def come back for the food and drinks. read more

I'm obsessed with SideBar!! This is the perfect date night spot. My fiancé and I came here with our pup on a Saturday night and we were able to be seated outside right away. Great in town location with convenient parking (including a parking deck across the street). We were seated inside right away and offered drinks. Latte was ok; seasonal latte was very good. Great place to eat for lunch, or go out late at night! SideBar's food is always consistent and very good. The same goes with the mixed drinks, and their bartenders are great! Went out with a friend for lunch, and ended up walking in during Happy Hour, which runs from 2 PM - 6 PM. There Happy Hour for beers is rolling, so beers are $2 at 2 PM, $3 and 3 PM, and so on. Apps are $5. Ended up spending $16.50 for 2 beers and 2 app, which is an excellent deal, especially in downtown Leesburg. I ordered the buffalo chicken dip, which I normally get here. It's not that spicy, kind of lacks the buffalo sauce flavor, but overall, it's still a good appetizer to start. I also ordered the SideBar fries, and those are awesome! Covered in parmesan, garlic, and rosemary, they're lathered in flavor. Highly recommend getting a side of maple sriracha sauce. It's delicious! The beers were good, nice and cold, hard to mess up a draft beer. Lots of fun on the weekends. Nice outdoor back porch area with a good amount of seats and a great place to hang out with friends! Great food, not so great service. My boyfriend and I came here for apps and drinks with two of our friends the week before Halloween. Our drinks and apps were good, but our server barely stopped by, never refilled our water and could not muster up any straws. Our friends ended up ordering burgers and they looked amazing (even the one with a gluten free bun) so we decided to go back two weeks later. The burgers WERE amazing, but the service was once again, awful, this time with a different server. Couldn't get a water refill, our order was wrong, and the soup we asked for came after our main entree. The food here is good, but definitely don't come expecting great service. read more

Stopped by for brunch on Saturday afternoon (probably around 2pm). Weather outside was super nice, so we didn't care about waiting for outdoor seating, but was seated inside within five minutes of arrival! Pretty large coffee menu which was nice and the food was amazing. We shared a few items and left with full bellies (and leftovers). Cappuccino was tasty, fiancé liked the matcha latte. Skillet was amazing, two eggs, with plenty of potatoes and meat to fill one or two adults. Cinnamon roll came out very hot and was the perfect texture. Flaky enough to pick apart, and plenty of cinnamon and icing to cover it. Also ordered a side bagel which was $2, which was great to mop up the skillet bowl contents at the end. 10/10 - will return soon read more

Then there was a bunch of trash and food at the bottom of our table/seats. Considering they had just open 20 mins before we came, I'm guessing it's trash from the night before. There were also a bunch of flies swarming around our table which really added to the uncleanliness of the table area. Our server, John, messed up our orders quite a bit. There were six of us and I guess they try to memorize your orders here rather than write it down. Four out of the six dishes were prepared incorrectly. We only sent one back since it was missing the meat from the sandwich. The rest we just dealt with it. Stopped in for brunch after visiting the farmers market on a Sunday. We parked in the parking garage across the street and made the short walk over. There was no wait and since it was a nice day out, we asked to be seated in the outdoor area. They have a nice brunch menu and there was no way I could pass up Avocado Toast if it's available. Our waitress kindly accommodated my request for egg whites only. The BF ordered the Brunch omelette and we both opted for mimosas. For brunch dessert, we couldn't pass up the cinnamon roll. It was warm and gooey...everything you want a cinnamon roll to be. Our Brunch experience at SideBar made it felt like we were transported to a secret garden.
