I visited Georgetown Cafe & Bakery for a late breakfast on a cold, rainy, Friday morning - arrived about 10:30 am. After looking over the menu - I ordered the Sausage Gravy & Biscuits - which comes with two eggs - ordered those over easy. And a side of bacon - and coffee, and water. The food came out fast. The Sausage gravy was disappointing. It was on the thin side, ladled over a single thin biscuit - and did not have much flavor. I added salt, pepper, and a bit of the hot sauce they had on hand - which is as far as I can tell - a generic cayenne-based sauce served in a plastic soufflé cup. The eggs were cooked properly. The bacon was extremely crispy and very thin. You could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp or just sitting for a while. Definitely not cooked to order. The coffee was slightly burnt. Service was good. I attempted to pay with Apple Pay - but they have their POS so far behind the counter - that I could not reach it and authenticate at the same time - so I just paid cash. Service was good. I don't see myself returning. #GeorgetownCafeAndBakery

First time here. Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We had the Egg and Cheese sandwich and the Big South (biscuits and sausage gravy). Egg and cheese sandwich was good with good portion of scrambled eggs. Big South was not great. Gravy was soupy and the biscuits were burnt. Hopefully others had a better experience. Safe to say I won't be returning.

Wife and I went for breakfast on 7/2/2023. Wife had a create your own omlette with grits. Eggs cooked perfectly. Grits were very tasty. I had the breakfast burrito with home fries on the side. Burrito was very tasty. My only negative comments are that our eggs, my potatoes lacked seasoning, definitely needed salt. A decent meal for a reasonable price. The service was very good!

    Receipt for overpriced food.

Food was good but we were on the only people in the restaurant and the owner/manager was sitting at his desk right where you're eating so having a private conversation wasn't really possible. Also what a rip off for the price! If you order waffles or pancakes it's all al a carte so don't expect pancakes with eggs and bacon for less than $20. The bacon was clearly deep fried and way too dry. Coffee was burnt and the creamer offered didn't help. Also our receipt was for "Kings Tavern & Wine Bar" I guess the two businesses are associated (news to me) but I felt like I didn't know where I was eating. Pictures on Google looked appealing but I won't be heading back.

They have the best omelettes! They are never overdone and loaded up. I also love their home fries!

Expensive and not good but hours are great. Waiting for a friend to finish up. Wasn't surprised my food wouldn't be good. Just bad quality like what I might make at home except it wasn't my home lol

Food is good! Maybe a bit over priced for the quality although portion size was decent. I would get the breakfast burrito again but probably to-go as the service wasn't great. Skip the mimosa or you'll pay $10 for a glass of OJ

This small cafe looked welcoming with outdoor seating- it was not. The server was miserable & acted put out by more customers ( it wasn't busy, and was 4 of us at 11 am on a Sunday). The croissant sandwich was a decent size but that was the only redeeming quality; nothing special in flavor. Everything else looked like the chef cooked a portion for 1 person and split it into 4 plates. Check out my photos. It was literally 3 bites of home fries served. Embarrassing for a breakfast "cafe". No need to visit this one- you can have a more enjoyable breakfast at home.

The food was good, not amazing but definitely one of the better breakfast places I've been to. Our waitress was wonderful, definitely was very focused on making sure we had everythinng we needed. I think my main grievance is the fact that they seemed to be out of a few things on the menu which was pretty disappointing. Overall, It's not my first choice but i'd definitely go back

I was just looking for some good coffee one morning when I saw a little hole in the wall and realized it's a little coffee shop! I've gotten an iced coffee there, and a matcha the next two times. Both are great. The baristas are all really nice and will very likely be able to make you something if you wanna tweak an item on the menu a bit. And, most importantly, their matcha is the real deal. It's not the bitter and awful cheap stuff that most cafes will sell to you for the same price. This is the good stuff, and you can tell they make any syrup they add to it in house. It's so refreshing. If you love coffee, and especially matcha, this place is it!

It took 10 mins for anyone to come see us. I had to get up to ask for someone to get our orders. To boot, the person who was supposed to assist us, was in the back hall by the restrooms texting and hanging out. I assume no one told her that we were there. The cider I ordered was warm, so I had to ask for a cup of ice at the bar. My husband's burger was meant to be medium well and it was raw. Lastly, it's extremely loud in that room. The chairs are metal, and when drug against the flooring, they make an awful sound! They really need a form of rubber on the legs. Very hard for grandma, who has hearing aids. Poor thing was so uncomfortable. The room next to us, with a door leading to the window to the kitchen, was so incredibly annoying. They were pounding the entire time we were seated, and it was LOUD! We all just sat completely silent. This was an incredibly disappointing visit and we will not come back.

This place is just stunning...the dining area, stairs with positive messages, the ordering/"shopping", even the bathroom! The service is just exceptional, above and beyond. It was a seameless process to make the reservation online and edit as needed. There were automatic emails and texts for the reservation confirmation and reminder. Each afternoon tea includes 2 pots of tea, 1 macaron/person, and additional bites (savory & sweet). Luckily, there were 2 of us, so we each ordered our own teas. I'm not sure how flexible they are if requesting additional tea pots for larger parties (max 8 people). The weekdays tea is $35/person, weekends $40/person (needs a reservation). There is an 18% gratuity to all the final bill regardless of the number of people in the party. I would highly recommend the Thai tea...I don't add any sugar or cream to my tea and it was still so tasty. I ordered the coconut macaron, which is the newest addition the the macaron family. Parking: there is parallel parking available in front of and around the establishment. There is also a parking garage roughly 1 block (walking distance), which is free on the weekends. If planning a visit on the weekdays, be sure to read the parking signs carefully. I would definitely return to try other items on their menu.

(They also have a self-service are where you can make a few different beverages.) You can visit for as little as a half hour, but each subsequent half hour costs less than the first half hour. I only had a half hour to spend, which was the perfect amount of time for me. As soon as I was all paid up, I wandered up to the second floor, where the cats are. There were several cats (at least 10), and they're all up for adoption (there was a staff member there who could you tell you each cat's name and other information). I had bought a Churu downstairs and had no qualms about bribing the cats to be my friends. I played and pet several of them; I fell in love with Russell, a Ginger and a chonk, and Peach, a playful kitten. Whether you just want to play with some cats (it helps with their socialization) or are looking to adopt a cat, cat cafes can be a lot of fun. Walk-in's are welcome, but I wanted to ensure we could come at the time we wanted. Parking was a but limited, but available early when they opened. The shop owner was so kind and was very thorough. She was hospitable and walked us upstairs to the cat room, introducing us to the cats and telling us about each of their personalities. The cats are all rescues looking for a forever home. What a great way to introduce them to people! There were tons of toys to use to interact and play with the cats. There was a basket of combs and some really enjoyed being brushed. They had several bowls of food and water and were very well take care of. The warm cookie was delish and tea and coffee were also available. Upon leaving there are lint rollers available because cat hair is inevitable; however, the cat area was very clean and tidy! The air purifiers helped, especially because the doors couldn't be opened in the winter. There is a screened in balcony I assume can be used in better weather. My daughter loved this place and wants to go back! While the experience was a bit pricey, I know it's going toward a good cause.
