Walked by here on our way to Rita's and could help myself. The cakes look amazing but this review…read moreis solely for the cupcakes. I bought a vanilla cupcake to go and ended up eating it at home. The cake was moist and delicious and the frosting was abundant and not too sweet. Dare I say the perfect cupcake. I would 100% order these for an event or take some into work. They are perfectly decorated and just scrumptious. The store itself is beautifully decorated and very welcoming. If I am ever in need of a custom cake I know where I will be going.

The young woman working there was polite, patient and friendly. I looked at their selection of cupcakes and noticed some flavors were sold out. Finally, I decided to get one Boston cream pie cupcake and one caramel coffee cupcake. When we got home, we decided to try one of the cupcakes later in the evening. We agreed to share the Boston cream pie cupcake first. I cut it in half. We weren't impressed with this one. There was a small amount of custard in the cake part, while the top was dark chocolate frosting. We've had far better versions of this flavor cupcake in the past. The next night, we tried the caramel coffee one. It had a vanilla cake, which was on the dry side. However, the frosting was the star of the show. The coffee and the caramel flavors were noticeable. This cupcake was the better of the two. We don't regret trying the cupcakes... but... as to whether we would go again... well... the jury is still out.

Abigail welcomed us in even though it was 25 minutes before opening . She opened the dining room so we could warm up ! Next she got my Mom (who's 92 ) a warm decaf coffee . She also helped me get her wheelchair over the little ledge at the door while holding the door. She was so kind and delightful! Next we had a wonderful breakfast ! Mom had the best strawberry muffin ever and I enjoyed a rise and shine breakfast with wonderful slightly smoky salsa , scrambled eggs , fresh avocado and potatoes . What a blessing Abigail and the Cowbell restaurant is to Leesburg !!! Sure made our wait which is usually a bummer into a delightful experience

They have a perfect outdoor set up with lots of chairs, umbrellas, and a tucked away spot away from the main road. They seem to get long lines because with more than about 3 or 4 people in line it starts to get crowded inside. They even have a sign saying sometimes the line is out the door and wait times vary. I was very happy with my breakfast bowl. It had so many flavors packed into one bowl and so balanced with textures, flavors, sauciness. The orange chocolate scone was really good too! Wasn't dry at all which I find most scones are. The pumpkin muffin was a little dry and the pizza was straight up just not good. My pizza loving, non-pizza-discriminating son couldn't eat it. My latte was also just standard. I'm glad I stopped in, but now I feel like I know what I'd order next time.

I often shop at a Wegmans store in the Baltimore suburbs, but we don't allow wine or beer sales at grocery stores in Maryland, so this was the first time I had seen a Wegmans wine selection - and I was impressed. Other than not being able to find chives, I found everything on my list for the weekend. Friendly staff, too! It was a nice store - if I lived nearby, I'd be happy to shop here regularly.

Easy enough to park the Sprinter van in their huge lot after taking care not to drive onto the deck area. The verdict? Five stars of "Wow." She was thoroughly impressed and on top of that, we managed to get out of here without a cart full of snacks. But still, so much to browse on here. Sushi, cheese, fresh grab-and-go heat-and-eat food, great wine and beer including a huge section of non-alcoholic options, pizza, fresh deli, a tremendous produce department and a massive butchery with fresh fish. There's just so much here. And Wegmans doesn't cut out on checkout either. Despite the store being rather busy on this Saturday afternoon, there were plenty of registers open and no queue at the self-checkout. Impressive. Getting out was a little bit of a challenge as Village Market feeds into the small mixed-use "village" they have adjacent. A little bit of traffic here but it moved fast enough that it rates only a small mention. This is the one area where they could improve. [Review 1032 of 2025 - 1516 in Virginia - 24586 overall]
