UPDATE: because it is a crazy thing to lie in this digital age instead of just apologizing. I'm sure you recognize your dining table in the photo with the timestamp of when we agreed for the cake pick up- I was not late. This small cake was $190. As you can see you can get much better for this price elsewhere. I asked for the line in the middle to be gold, and sent photos of what it should look like. But instead ended up a brown dry sharpie line. I would suggest Sussy's cakes or honeybee. She wanted me to take the cake without even seeing it first, when I asked her to make changes she became visibly angry, also her dog was extremely aggressive and chasing mel barking down the driveway. The only positive I can think of is that the cake itself tasted pretty good.

My daughter's birthday was amazing. She made the best cake we've ever tasted. Location, local mom, price ....everything was everything and more. I'll definitely be buying cakes and whatever delicious delicacy's she makes for the future.

I used Randy Cakes for my sons baptism and WOW! The cake was beyond what I could've imagined! It was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Everyone was raving about how great it turned out! The price was incredibly fair too! I highly recommend Randy cakes to anyone looking for beautiful and tasty cakes for any celebration!

I cannot stop gushing about Randy Cakes, and my experience with Aly. I have used Aly for all major events, since finding her a few years ago, and I have never been disappointed. Some are pictured, some are not, some are not even made yet! She is going to make the cake for my best fiends wedding next year, and I know it will be spectacular. What I love most about working with her, is the process. She makes it so easy. I used to be so precise and exact on what I wanted, that Aly would put my nerves of perfection at ease. Aly always exceeded my expectations. Now, I "sort of" have an idea, and she makes my ideas come to fruition. I just give her full creative control. I trust the process, because I trust her. She has never disappointed me. I've ordered everything from cupcakes, cake pops, two tier, one tier, smash cakes, you name it. Not one time. I am not one to write a ton of reviews, but after the many years of experience with her, and this last cake- I had to. This cake was the best cake I've ever had. We chose frosting and middle, and I went with Aly's recommendation. The perfect summer cake. Buttercream frosting and strawberry filling. These were REAL strawberries. It was delightful. We even ate it for breakfast the next morning, and I was honestly disappointed when it was gone. I secretly placed a second order the next week for just my family to enjoy. No sharing this time! Aly can really do it all. With everything going on with the pandemic, it was really comforting to know where my ingredients were coming from. Aly uses the farm fresh eggs- from her farm. Does it get better than that? Not only are you delighted by the packaging and being able to travel to and from (if you choose to pickup), but you also may get the lucky chance to see all of the farm animals! I recently drove with a cake from VA to DA, and she made it so easy for me. I know that health and safety were the first priority, and there was nothing more reassuring during this quarantine. My sons birthday was in April, and needless to say it was a tough birthday with no party. The cake needed to be the center of attention. We did a contactless delivery. She delivers if you are close by, and has the best customer service I've ever experienced. Masks were worn upon delivery and packaging and quality were the same, if not better than pickup. The Ghostbusters cake was absolutely one of a kind. My son was so surprised, it made the day! I could not be more thrilled with Randy Cakes, and my experience with Aly. I have referred her to everyone I know, and there is no one else I would get a cake from. They really are better than they look, and I'm not just saying that!

I ordered two dozen S'mores cake pops for my daughter's 9th bday party and they turned out great and were delicious !! I'll definitely be ordering from Randy Cakes again! I highly recommend!

Randy Cakes provided the cake and cake pops for my baby shower! The owner was very professional and provided my order on time and it was exactly what I ordered. The presentation was amazing and both the cake and cake pops were a hit amongst the guests. This was very affordable and I have already placed my next order! Thanks Randy Cakes :)

My son's first birthday cake made by the awesome Randy Cakes. I highly recommend them for any occasion.

I ordered an almond milk latte and the avocado toast without feta. The avocado toast was SO good, the avocado tasted really fresh and they used the perfect amount of balsamic vinegar. Also loved that they had packets of hot sauce available. My son got a bagel with cream cheese and my partner got a bagel with butter and jam plus a chai latte. Only note is that the bagel came with a ton of cream cheese, so if you don't like it piled on, I'd recommend asking for light cream cheese. Overall we really loved it and would definitely come back when we're in the area again!

The decor makes you think of what you'd find at an eccentric great aunt's home, but in a positive way. Each area has its own mini aesthetic that contributes to the entire place; in the back are color themed books that give it a more serious look, while upstairs is more whimsical in it's random assortment of chairs and couches. The food is in appealing display cases downstairs. The stand out pastries for me are the tiramisu filled cronuts. Drinks wise, they have the typical cafe fare but excitingly so they also have Colombe on draft which I will always be excited about. I recommend this place to grab a snack and socialize!

They had savory and sweet pastries available. All of them looked so good so it was difficult to choose. We needed up getting the ham and cheese pastry- which was crispy, warm, and tasty! My friend got the crème brûlée cappuccino and I got the pistachio latte- both were really good and smooth! This was my favorite pistachio latte ever (just fyi- no coffee was in it). Would definitely come back and would love to try some other offerings; though, I would get all the things we ordered again. Be warned most of their pastries are pretty big so you should be prepared to share. I haven't tried their cakes yet but will be ordering from them for the next occasion. I wasn't too impressed with their version of the smoked salmon open sandwich because it was difficult to eat. Everything fell apart and/or would break down easily to make a balanced bite. I would imagine it's the same for all of the open sandwiches. Everyone should give this spot a chance if you passing through the chantilly area.

Great bread roll as it was crispy outside but soft inside to hug all ingredients inside. It came with a side of potato chips which was a nice surprise as I didn't expect any sides at that moment. I wanted a doughnut, but didn't want the whole thing for myself, so I lightly nudged my sweet tooth friend to split one with me. I knew he wasn't going to say no. The custard was creamy with a strong pandan flavor. The donut was soft and chewy with a delicious sugar layer. I'm sure these have been sitting out for a few hours, so I'm impressed how well they hold up. I would definitely pay the price for these delicious doughnuts again.

Start to finish quality. They care about what goes into their products and care about the finished products. Reasonably priced, and in my opinion, a better value than most of the area competition. At the time of this review, this is not a sit down venue. Expect no frills when you walk in, but delectable goods in-hand when you walk out! I've been looking for one for years in this area & have finally found it. My favorite bakery. Why? It's not a cool trendy or fancy venue, but the owners take the time to take care of you when you walk in. They're just starting to build their storefront in this industrial/commercial kitchen kinda setting, so please don't expect glam. Also, don't write them off until you've given their cakes a shot. Asian-style. Light fluffy, not too sweet cakes with lots of yummy whipped cream. Fresh & yummy flavors. If you're a heavy buttercream fan, this bakery may not appeal to your palate or texture preferences, but if you enjoy fresh cream cakes....mmmm mmmm goood! Other Asian-style bread items are available and their tofu chips are addicting. They're roasting their own coffee beans, too, which make a really smooth cup of java. Tasty. This mom & pop seem to really love what they do, they work extremely hard every day, and they really want their customers to have a good experience with their products. I love that they're often working on new recipes and creating new products to add to their line-up. This bakery is a must try at least once. And, maybe...just maybe... you'll enjoy their delicious treats as much as I do & be glad you found this off the beaten path local bakery.
