The cake tasting was amazing and the possibilities were truly endless... she brought our cake ideas to life. She matched the flowers on my veil clip and created the most magical sparkling sugar flowers for our simplistic design. The cake held up the whole time - looked amazing. My husband repeatedly insisted after our cake tasting that there was no other choice but Loretta because that was the "best cake he has ever tasted". We went with a red velvet with strawberry mousse and the guest continuously said it was the best red velvet ever. I don't have my formal pictures yet but for now this picture from a guest will have to do!

The space has plenty of tables, and delicious decorated cakes on display. I wonder if they were all customers or if the staff did some of them, hmm! I should've asked. At the counter on the back wall, you can get snacks and drinks in addition to the kits for the decorating. I didn't decorate one myself, but I observed the whole process. There are shelves of different tools, like skewers, piping bags and more. There's a frosting for every color and plenty of fondant for extra creativity. We were able to bring in food -- pizza for this occasion, and the staff were kind enough to serve it for us. The staff were super polite, efficient, and willing to answer any questions and assist the decorators! She specifically asked to have her birthday party here, so I really wish I could say we had the same great experience. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. For a birthday party that cost over $600, I expected the staff to be much more hands-on and engaged, especially with a group of 9- and 10-year-old girls. One employee did an okay job helping, but overall, the level of involvement was not what I expected. I also took several photos during the party where one of the designated team members was on her cell phone rather than interacting with or helping the girls. When you're paying this much for a hosted party, I don't think parents should feel like the staff leading it are disengaged. I also paid for the Ultimate Party Package, which was advertised as including smoothies, ice cream, and aprons for each girl. When we arrived, I was told they no longer make smoothies and that they hadn't figured out how to remove that option from their website. At that point we obviously switched to the regular party option. Finally, there is a mandatory 15% service gratuity automatically added to the party. I normally have no problem tipping for good service, but an automatic gratuity is frustrating when the service itself falls well below expectations. The girls still had fun decorating their cakes, which was the most important part, but for the price and the experience that was advertised, I expected significantly more. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing and did not feel worth the $600+ cost.
