BLUF: LOVE THIS BAKERY. Small mom & pop shop. The family-owned bakery & the owners are wonderful…read more Personable, friendly, helpful, know their stuff, and they care about quality. Start to finish quality. They care about what goes into their products and care about the finished products. Reasonably priced, and in my opinion, a better value than most of the area competition. At the time of this review, this is not a sit down venue. Expect no frills when you walk in, but delectable goods in-hand when you walk out! I've been looking for one for years in this area & have finally found it. My favorite bakery. Why? It's not a cool trendy or fancy venue, but the owners take the time to take care of you when you walk in. They're just starting to build their storefront in this industrial/commercial kitchen kinda setting, so please don't expect glam. Also, don't write them off until you've given their cakes a shot. Asian-style. Light fluffy, not too sweet cakes with lots of yummy whipped cream. Fresh & yummy flavors. If you're a heavy buttercream fan, this bakery may not appeal to your palate or texture preferences, but if you enjoy fresh cream cakes....mmmm mmmm goood! Other Asian-style bread items are available and their tofu chips are addicting. They're roasting their own coffee beans, too, which make a really smooth cup of java. Tasty. This mom & pop seem to really love what they do, they work extremely hard every day, and they really want their customers to have a good experience with their products. I love that they're often working on new recipes and creating new products to add to their line-up. This bakery is a must try at least once. And, maybe...just maybe... you'll enjoy their delicious treats as much as I do & be glad you found this off the beaten path local bakery.

I got a latte, so smooth and flavorful. They also gave a sample of a cranberry cookie to dip in coffee...I walked out and back in to purchase cookie because it went so well with the latte. The storefront is a new venture for them but I will be back for coffee!

I have way too many photos to post of her amazing work, but I picked a few of my favorites to the limit yelp would allow me to post. Aly is so incredibly talented and will take what you describe your dessert aesthetic / vision to be and turn it into art! She has made desserts for all of our parties and special events, including our wedding cake! Aly has been so wonderful with our crazy design and flavor requests and has made them come to life! Aly is amazing at accommodating allergies, and we've had guests tell us they'd never know items we ordered from her was gluten free except for us telling them! The service you receive from Randy Cakes cannot be beat. Aly takes the time to lovingly customize and make your dessert dreams come true. Everything we have ever had from Randy Cakes has been on schedule and beyond delicious. Aly is so sweet and understanding, and it makes working with her a blast and a pleasure. Picking up from her farm is always awesome; the ambiance of the animals cannot be beat and it's so cool knowing that her ingredients are local (from her farm!) and natural. I will never order a cake or dessert from anywhere else!

I loved them so much I followed their instagram and on their page you can find their schedule and where they're going to be next as well as when they do their pick up orders. I tried their cookies again at the winter clubhouse event in dc and this time I tried their banana bread cookie and of course I had to get the cheese cookie again! These are pricey cookies but I would say that it's worth it because you can't get these unique flavors anywhere else and the cookies are pretty big. The service is friendly and they let you sample a few flavors. Their set up is also very aesthetic and cute. I can't wait to see what event they go to next!

Bit Bakery was one of the vendors at the Asian Summer Festival this past weekend at Tysons Corner!…read moreThey were giving samples of their earl grey cookies which was pretty tasty (strong tea and citrusy flavor) so I bought three other cookies to try (5.50 each -- a bit pricy, but I understand because they're a home bakery). The SSUK COOKIE is their mugwort based cookie with a generous marshmallow topping. It's bittersweet and the marshmallow helps to add sweetness, but I found it a bit dry. Overall, I still enjoyed it. I'm typically a fan of banana desserts, but found the BANANA MILK COOKIE a bit too strong and sweet. It's smooth and creamy and described, but it wasn't for me. Lastly, the OAT COOKIE had a ton of various ingredients including coconut, chocolate, oats, and even goji berry. I thought it was a good, standard cookie but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, glad I got to try. The people who ran the vendor were nice and offered great suggestions. Support local bakeries!
