I stopped by this Wegmans on my way to an airbnb I had reserved near Purcellville to do my shopping for the weekend. It's a good sized Wegmans, and it's bright, clean, and well-stocked. I often shop at a Wegmans store in the Baltimore suburbs, but we don't allow wine or beer sales at grocery stores in Maryland, so this was the first time I had seen a Wegmans wine selection - and I was impressed. Other than not being able to find chives, I found everything on my list for the weekend. Friendly staff, too! It was a nice store - if I lived nearby, I'd be happy to shop here regularly. read more

Mrs. K. has never experienced a Wegman's so when we were on our way to ALDI for snacks, I diverted to here. Easy enough to park the Sprinter van in their huge lot after taking care not to drive onto the deck area. The verdict? Five stars of "Wow." She was thoroughly impressed and on top of that, we managed to get out of here without a cart full of snacks. But still, so much to browse on here. Sushi, cheese, fresh grab-and-go heat-and-eat food, great wine and beer including a huge section of non-alcoholic options, pizza, fresh deli, a tremendous produce department and a massive butchery with fresh fish. There's just so much here. And Wegmans doesn't cut out on checkout either. Despite the store being rather busy on this Saturday afternoon, there were plenty of registers open and no queue at the self-checkout. Impressive. Getting out was a little bit of a challenge as Village Market feeds into the small mixed-use "village" they have adjacent. A little bit of traffic here but it moved fast enough that it rates only a small mention. This is the one area where they could improve. If you get what you pay for then Wegmans is 110% on. The service is great and the selection is good. Staff always helpful and friendly unlike other chains around town. Additionally, their store far better kept than their competitors. read more

We love Wegmans. It's not always the lowest prices especially for grab and go, meat and dessert counter items. But, the rest is pretty comparable. This store is massive and has a large organic/healthy food section (gluten free as well). The customer service is great and usually we can get in and out fairly quickly, however the parking lot is a mess when busy. The shopping center added a shortcut exit to the right of the building if you are looking at it to avoid the one way in/out. I give Wegmans a 5/5 for customer service, selection, hours, and convenience. read more

Wegmans, I want to love you, but you make it tough. If you're going to charge $18 for 1.5 lbs of green beans, I'd expect a checkout experience that reflects a premium shopping experience. Instead, at 6:30 PM on a Saturday, only 2 out of 20 registers were open, creating an unnecessarily long and frustrating wait. Self-checkout is fine for a few items, but for a full cart? Not practical. The palpable frustration among customers standing in line should be a clear signal that something needs to change. Meanwhile, three managers were just chatting at the customer service counter--one of them could have easily jumped in to open another lane and ease the bottleneck. I don't mind paying for quality, but paying luxury prices shouldn't come with bargain-bin service. Wegmans, you can do better. read more

This store has really gone downhill. We come here from Winchester to get fresh produce but the selection lately has been awful, rotting food out on the shelf everywhere and we couldn't find half of what we came for. Might as well just go to Walmart..... And please stop with the paper bag nonsense. The things rip before you can even get them to your vehicle. Most of your products are packaged in plastic, just give us a normal plastic bag please. read more

Fried Chicken This two star is only about their fried chicken. They are promoting it heavily this year but I have a problem with it. Yes, it's crispy. The meat is moist. But it has no flavor! It's essential to season chicken well before cooking it. It's disappointing. I won't buy it there until I find out that they have improved it. I've been frying chicken for 40 + years. I season the raw chicken. Soak it in buttermilk. Dredge it in seasoned flour with salt (so important) pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, baking powder and whatever else you like. I love Wegman's though. Just felt obligated to report this. read more

Good selection. Not the best consideration of customer needs or provision of customer service.

On a recent trip to Leesburg, we needed some groceries from Wegmans and had not visited the location in Leesburg before so decided to stop off. Given the other retail shops, definitely busier to park and not as easy as Sterling. Store is laid out opposite to Sterling so when you come inside think that over. Did not find cheese like we have at the Sterling location. Seemed much busier because it might be smaller. Check-out lines were fast., Not a bad visit but prefer our Sterling/Dulles location. read more

WEGMAN'S, are you using APEEL on your produce? These blackberries were in my refrigerator for a week. I noticed that they had not molded or changed at all. I set them on my counter for three additional days. They are very hard. are you using Apeel to lengthen the shelf life of your produce and if so, you need to let the public know. We love the quality of Wegmans as compared to other grocery stores. However, I gave up trying to figure out where stuff is after they keep moving stuff. I asked two employees where sun dried tomatoes were and no one could find them. They even said the reorganization was terrible. Its also much more expensive than competitors. read more

Wegmans started out very strong but the quality and service have been on the decline for a while, while they continue to raise their prices and reduce their selection. They also offer very few discounts via their shoppers card and charge for bags. At the pharmacy, they constantly try to make you sign up to fill them by mail, which is not a great idea considering the current state of USPS. The people working the counter always seem very rushed and abrupt. read more

I'm Not a fan of Wegmans. Okay so first of all, this store is expensive. Now I totally get that this isn't for me as I am a Walmart girl and I don't care how good of a life the animal I'm about to eat had or what kinda dirt and chemicals were used to grow my veggies, I just like my food cheap. Lol With all that being said I haven't been to this Wegmans in a few years. The last time I was here they had opened a little seafood bar in the middle of the seafood section. My bf and I were starving so he suggested we go get some food from the hot food bar. Yahll....... It's gone. All they have is a wing section for like $13.99 a pound. I wanted to cry. That was the only reason I used to come here. What a shame. read more

A Monday at 3:30 PM. Waited nearly 10 minutes to check out. 3 registers open, customers 3 and 4 deep in those lines. Unhappy customers - seems mis-managed A waste of time. Nothing like the Wegman's I'm used to in Rochester. read more

Would give them 5 stars, except for price. They have a good selection of ethnic food, which I appreciate. Also a good beer selection. But I do not like the way their meat selection is packaged. Best grocery store ever !!! We always find more items than we went in to buy. We are never disappointed.

We had just finished having dinner in the area and decided to walk around Wegmans a bit. This was our first time checking out this location. I appreciate that they have reserved parking for expectant mothers/parents with small children, how considerate! Similar to most Wegmans, this grocery store has it all. So much variety. They do a great job keeping the store clean and organized. Employees are friendly and helpful. I'm glad we paid this location a visit. read more

This Wegmans has a larger selection of baked goods (delicious cookies!), plump bakery buns, fresh juices, but less hot bar items and vegetarian burgers. I generally go to the one in Faifax, but happened to be in the area and was a bit disappointed that I only saw the Southwest black bean burgers. Where are the Mushroom and Veggie burgers? I was impressed by the sample of the watermelon mint juice and bought a bottle, totally worth $6. The cookie sandwich stuffed in buttercream and drizzled with chocolate and sprinkles was scrumptious! As I took a bite, the buttercream oozed out, very good and reminded me of Mrs. Fields. I wasn't a fan of the whole grain hazelnut cookie, it was really salty and had a weird texture. I love eating cookies, but after 2 bites, I really couldn't bring myself to eat anymore. Looking forward to coming back and trying more decadent treats! read more

Huge store. Nice selection. If they don't have it, it doesn't exist. Close to my nieces house where I was visiting.

I do not recommend this location for people with children or special needs or anyone that isn't clearly aryan. The young female staff that just remained calm & helped hold space for my special needs 7yo child during a meltdown & got him water deserves a promotion & huge pay raise! She knew what was going on, recognised my child had special needs without me saying a word, & attempted to redirect people around so there was minimal attention to the problem behaviors. The only people she didn't know how to respond to were the stereotypical Karen (heavy-set middle aged white woman with a haircut & highlights that is the worst of both worlds) & the old short -round white male manager involved by the Karen after she made herself look dumb. All the female wegmans-worker could really do was watch in horror as the Karen attempted interrogation of my child mid-meltdown as I was physically managing the problem behaviors & the Karen asking my child who I was; me identifying myself as his mom (because looking identical wasn't sufficient); the Karen telling me to be quiet because she was talking to my 7yo child about something important; me telling the Karen that she's reinforcing the problem behaviors & to stop talking to my child; the Karen accusing me of having no clue what I'm talking about & attempting to accuse me of suspected human trafficking; me identifying myself as a BCBA licensed by the Virginia state medical board and in x # of other states & I took the mandatory training class for identifying human trafficking & I specialise in working with kids with autism like my child; my child saying he didn't want to leave with me & only wanted to go back to the cart; Karen asking my child why he doesn't want to leave with me (he was perseverating on getting my phone in the cart which he couldn't have); me asking the Karen to stop; then the Karen accusing me of suspected child abuse & interfering with her interrogation of my autistic child mid-meltdown before she went huffing away to get a the goofiest looking short round white-male store-manager well past his prime with a recording hairline & bad combover that looked most likely to support her instigating problems. The white-male manager was clearly on an ego trip & attempted to assert dominance rather than offer support. He should never be in a position of power. He's completely incapable of exercising basic empathy, common sense, or fundamental problem solving skills to be able to appropriately respond to any situation with customers or people in general. This manager, accused me of being a bad parent, not knowing how to respond to an autistic kid, & emotionally terrorised my 7yo special needs child already having a hard moment when this MANAGER THREATENED MY SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD with calling the police on him to handle his behavior. The Karen was annoying but people like the white male manager are absolutely DISGUSTING and should never be in a position where they come into contact with people much less children or are in any position of authority. Thanks to these psychopaths, my child that was already struggling with separation anxiety was terrified either one of us would be arrested & separated... & thankfully a sheriff friend was available after to reassure him no one was arresting either of us & the guy has a personal problem & shouldn't have said that. read more

Wegmans is okay. Though in the last two years has less stock than it used to. It started two or three years ago with worse wine quality and spread to less overall stock. Yes Wegmans your shoppers notice. Instacart is HORRIBLE. Many items "aren't in stock" then I go to the store an hour later and it's right there. With higher grocery prices for delivery and an extra $10 in fees I shop at Whole Foods which is free and the service is better. A customer can put everyone from the CEO to the janitor out of business by going elsewhere. If I were the Wegmans family I'd hustle and create a delivery department before they're pushed out by the competition. read more

Overpriced meats and other items are outrageous but then everything is due to Biden/kamala economics

Confession: first time (Virginia) Wegmans shopper. I've been to one in Erie, PA but several years ago. Man, if I hadn't had a cantankerous 2 year old with me, I could have spent hours (yes I'm a dork) browsing these aisles. I was very impressed with the amount of ready made food items. I ended up with Peruvian chicken ($16) and sautéed green beans ($4.50). We were coming home from GCF and I had Nada to cook so this was an easy, albeit pricey, alternative. The prices on non-Wegmans brands seemed high. Alas, I am in Arlington and believe the closest Wegmans is outside the beltway in Alexandria, so while I was impressed with the variety and quality offered, I don't believe I'll visit any location soon. Maybe a plea to Wegmans to open in Arlington is in order! read more

Wegmans is always awesome! Stopped in this new Wegmans recently to pick up some delicious alcoholic beverages to take to a House Concert. I thought this would be a surgical strike - in and out! Why did I think this? Well I've been to a few other Wegmans - and just assumed the layout of the store would be the same! Wrong! I went back to where I assumed the beer would be - cuz that's where it is in the relatively new Wegman's in Gainesville, VA. So when I find it's not where I thought it would be - I ask a Wegman's employee tending to the yogurt section - where is the beer section? He turns and points to a pile of Anheuser Busch and Miller beer cases stacked in the back aisle five feet behind him. I burst out laughing and told him matter-of-factly - "that is not the beer section!" To his credit - he went and asked someone and returned promptly to advise me the beer section is in the front of the store. So off I go! Was looking for Steelhead Pale Ale - could not find it. Maybe they were out? Wegmans carries it at my home store. Ended up getting a four pack of the Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout and a six pack of Woodchuck Dark Amber cider. Check out was fast in the express line. Young man ringing me up carded me! Not worried about that though - if they card everyone - no one can whine about it! One thing that was peculiar about this Wegmans - is the parking lot, specifically exiting the parking lot. It's a veritable maze! The architects need to have their collective heads examined! read more

This was my first Wegmans' experience, and I loved it! From the moment I walked in the door, I knew that I was in grocery shopping Heaven. They really do have it all, and if you're not careful, you could spend your entire pay check in an afternoon. Basically, Wegmans is what Whole Foods wishes it could be but never will. Now, every shopper has his or her favorite section, so I'll only focus on those that played a major role in my delicious musical of yum. First, the section with freshly prepared meals are perfect for lunch. I picked up a few entrees and was the envy of the work lunch room the next day. Secondly, their cheese section is superb, and we picked up some creamy pecorino and hearty whiskey cheader. However, my favorite section was their raw bar which seems to be modeled after London's famed Harrods' food court. Take a seat at the bar and have a oyster or two with a nice beer.... Now that is what I call shopping! I continued my meal with a succulent steak sandwich and grilled asparagus, a total taste treat. Everything here was excellent, Wegmans' raw bar is not a speed operation, so you need to be prepared to wait on your munchies a bit. Don't worry, young foodie, the wait is worth it and the employees behind the bar are very nice. So Wegmans has ruined me for all other grocery stores. I guess there is nothing left to do but return to Wegmans on my next shopping trip. I mean how you going to keep a guy down on the farm after he has seen gay old Paris or Wegmans for that matter.., read more

People walking around the store not wearing masks, including a young man yelling about "the scamdemic" at people sitting quietly upstairs. I called the manager about it. "I can't make people wear them," he sniffed. I told him that it's the law in Virginia and asked if that store had decided not to the follow the law. He waffled and would not address the question. We strictly shop at Wegmans but that may need to change. The quality is definitely going down. More often than not we get home and our bag of small oranges is moldy, last week my flowers (which are not cheap!) were molded when I unwrapped them. And today some blackberries that my husband bought yesterday have mold on them. What's going on?! You guys are too expensive for this! Don't get to come here that often because I don't live near one, but always love visiting this place. First introduced to this place about a decade ago for their subway sandwiches which were an awesome deal long before Subway's $5 foot-longs. Anyway, we recently stopped by on our way from Leesburg Outlet. The parking/traffic situation here really sucks. Getting in wasn't a problem for us, getting out was ridiculously long. Think like an inch per minute! But what I really love about this place is the Loose Leaf Tea center which is similar to Teavana's setup in Tysons Corner Mall, except at a fraction of the cost. There is no minimum quantity of tea you can order (like they do at Teavana), and the average price for most teas is under $20/lb at Wegmans, except for the Uji Gyokuro Green Tea from Japan which is a whopping $200/lb. But to ingeminate, the nice thing is that you can try as little or as much as you want. You can see on my photo the large selection of teas, but what you don't see in the picture is the counter with the scale for DIY weighing and pricing, as well as an adjacent wall of teas. read more
