This is a very attractive store and we were looking forward to checking it out so we stopped by after eating dinner in the village of Leesburg. Unfortunately we have a bunch of allergies so we were looking for dairy free and gluten-free cupcakes and also decaf coffee, but alas they either don't carry them or were out of them at 6 PM on a Friday evening.

Decided to try this beautiful coffee/bakery shop. Their bakery goods looked really delicious. I had a latte and although it wasn't my favorite, I was happy to try a new spot! If you would like to get custom cakes, they had so many samples/molds that were gorgeous!

This is my first time here. The interior is very picturesque, instagram-ready, etc.! The cake/cupcake display is so beautiful. They also had cakes displayed around the counter showing the exquisite decorations also to show that they take cake orders. I couldn't figure out which flavor to choose, and ended up with toffee caramel cupcake. I wish I had looked at the other flavors so I would've selected pistachio and lavender! The cupcake was okay, didn't taste very fresh and the frosting was a little hard. The cakes were definitely very pricey, so I was hesitant to get one before trying a cupcake. They had a good selection of drinks, so I chose a plain latte. They don't carry decaf espresso/coffee. They are on the same block/building as Altitude, so there is a parking garage around the corner, as well as some parking in the front of the storefronts. Would I return? Sure, if I'm in the area.

Dana's Cake Shoppe welcomes you immediately with a beautiful display of the prettiest baked goods. I came here with my sister and nephews on a Saturday afternoon and we ordered the snickerdoodle, funfetti, chocolate vanilla, and Oreo ice cream cupcake. The snickerdoodle was my favorite and had the best icing which I am normally not the biggest fan of. The Oreo ice cream cupcake was good but my least favorite and had a chocolate outer layer instead of the cupcake paper that was a bit over powering. I also got an iced americano but they unfortunately did not have any decaf options. All of the staff was really nice and when my nephew's seat fell over and he spilled his Rita's from next door, they kindly ran over and cleaned it right up. There are multiple tables to enjoy your treats at and they bring your order to your table for you. I will be back to try some other flavors and probably have to bring my nephew. His review was "that was the best cupcake I've ever had!" and he's usually not into cake! Dana's Cake Shoppe is a really cute spot for a sweet treat and added bonus is the kids playground right out in front with seats for the adults!

I've been in here a couple times to grab a little pick-me-up. The first time, I got a mango pineapple smoothie. The second time, I ordered a vanilla chocolate cupcake. I really liked the cupcake; it was just the perfect amount of sweetness. The cake part could be a little bit more moist, but it was okay. The mango pineapple smoothie was a tad too sweet for my taste, though. It was good, just a little too sweet for me. Presentation-wise, they're beautiful. Both times I stopped by, the staff were friendly and accommodating. They also offer recommendations on which flavors people seem to get the most. The vanilla chocolate cupcake was a recommendation because I was looking for the cupcake that is the least sweet. The shop is always sparkling clean every time I walk by and the couple times that I stopped by. It is also beautifully decorated. There are a handful of tables inside and what I assume to be where they conduct taste testing appointments are sectioned off. The shop is also located near a lot of other different shops and restaurants so it's very convenient. There's plenty of garage parking if the street parking is all taken. They are a little bit on a pricier side for cupcakes and portion-wise. It is $4.00 per normal-sized cupcake. I would return to try other pastries and provide additional or updated feedback if my opinion changes!

We got our 2 layered wedding cake from Dana. We were happy with the taste, and our guests all went back for seconds. It was so good there was none left at the end of the night. Our tasting experience was really fun. Dana is professional and did not make us feel rushed in making a decision on the spot. Highly recommend on stopping at her shop if you are in the neighborhood.

I stopped by this bakery tonight to try out a few desserts with family. Let me start with the high notes. 1. Strawberries and cream choux was delicious, will be having again. Not too sweet and pastry was just right, light airy and with a little chewiness. 2. The red velvet cake was moist and flavorful. The cream cheese icing was delicious and light, again not too sweet and perfect consistency. Now, as far as the cupcakes go, the icing is good and the cake itself is moist. However, to call each cupcake a different flavor is misleading. You can have a vanilla or chocolate cupcake with different toppings but they all taste like chocolate or vanilla. I ordered coconut, chocolate, toffee, and s'mores. All tasted like vanilla/chocolate. The cake is the same, icing is the same, but fun toppings were added. Pricing was a tad high in my opinion. $4 per cupcake (normal size cupcake), $7 for choux, and $7 for slice of cake. I will be returning as I was very impressed with this bakery, however I will be avoiding the cupcakes and going straight for slices of cake/pastry. I would also like to see pricing come down some as I think it is a tad high. Recommend trying this bakery out!

This place is just stunning...the dining area, stairs with positive messages, the ordering/"shopping", even the bathroom! The service is just exceptional, above and beyond. It was a seameless process to make the reservation online and edit as needed. There were automatic emails and texts for the reservation confirmation and reminder. Each afternoon tea includes 2 pots of tea, 1 macaron/person, and additional bites (savory & sweet). Luckily, there were 2 of us, so we each ordered our own teas. I'm not sure how flexible they are if requesting additional tea pots for larger parties (max 8 people). The weekdays tea is $35/person, weekends $40/person (needs a reservation). There is an 18% gratuity to all the final bill regardless of the number of people in the party. I would highly recommend the Thai tea...I don't add any sugar or cream to my tea and it was still so tasty. I ordered the coconut macaron, which is the newest addition the the macaron family. Parking: there is parallel parking available in front of and around the establishment. There is also a parking garage roughly 1 block (walking distance), which is free on the weekends. If planning a visit on the weekdays, be sure to read the parking signs carefully. I would definitely return to try other items on their menu.

They also had an osmanthus flower drink and a signature drink with grapes that was very tasty as well. The hands on part was my favorite. They walked us through how to properly whisk our own matcha and let us practice the technique ourselves. On top of that, we got to sample a variety of their teas throughout the class. The owner clearly knows their craft. Their in-store matcha has actually won awards, and you can taste the quality difference. The space itself is beautifully curated too, with a whole shelf of adorable teaware and gifts to buy afterward. Such a fun, educational experience for a group. I got the lime guava strawberry oolong. When I tasted the sample it was very yummy. However when I ordered it the drink came with so much stuff inside, it made the drink experience kinda disappointing. The sample was strained so I didn't think the drink was going to have guava seeds inside of it. While drinking it the seeds were impossible to ignore as they were hard and small. It's like a choking hazard really. I wish they had strained it before serving. So just be warned about some of the drinks you order.

We stopped in on a Friday morning and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We were seated immediately, which gave us a chance to take in the restaurant's charming farmhouse aesthetic. With its high ceilings and rustic décor, it feels like a modern take on an old country farmhouse that's warm and inviting without feeling overdone. As an unexpected bonus, we happened to visit during Restaurant Week, and the special was an incredible value. It included a Buff-Mosa, deviled eggs, and the Low Country Biscuit. My wife ordered the Southern Philly, so we ended up sampling a little of everything. The Buff-Mosa was a refreshing way to start the meal. Made with Blue Ridge Vodka, Cava, and strawberry-watermelon juice, it was light, crisp, and not overly sweet. The deviled eggs were topped with bacon jam, which added a nice savory touch. They had a bit more mustard and horseradish kick than I'm accustomed to, but they were still delicious and packed with flavor. The real star, though, was the Low Country Biscuit. It was absolutely enormous, stacked with perfectly fried chicken, chunky pimento cheese, and hot honey. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the combination of the rich pimento cheese with the sweet heat of the hot honey was outstanding. The honey added just enough spice to complement the sandwich without overpowering the other flavors. I also tried a bite of my wife's Southern Philly, and it was fantastic. It's a creative Southern spin on a classic Philly cheesesteak and one that's definitely worth ordering. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. One fun detail I really appreciated was that the check is presented inside a book, a small touch that fits perfectly with the restaurant's farmhouse theme. Between the outstanding biscuits, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent service, Buford's Biscuits delivered a fantastic breakfast experience. There are still plenty of menu items I'd love to try, so we'll definitely be back.
