    Nervoso waffle

Food: 4 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Fill Factor: Satisfied I am rarely in Little Italy but for some reason this year I decided to check out the Taste of Little Italy and while walking around had a craving for some sweets so dropped in this place. The menu consists of ice cream, waffles, crepes, sandwiches and my favourite milkshake among other things. I immediately gravitated towards the waffles and milkshake naturally. I ended up ordering the Nervoso waffle (espresso ice cream, chocolate chips and chocolate sauce) as well as a canoli milkshake. The espresso ice cream was great with a nice coffee taste and the waffle was fluffy and soft. I didn't find the waffle to be overly sweet as well which is great in my book. As for the milkshake, there were chunks of canoli in there which I wasn't really expecting as I thought the canoli would be ground down to much smaller pieces. The taste was just like a vanilla milkshake so I am not sure if it was worth it to order this instead of just a regular milkshake. I probably would not order this again. In terms of service, it was fairly busy when I was there due to the festival so I found the service to be ok but nothing amazing. I was on the patio which had a lot of seating and was really nice to be on a hot summer day. Overall I had a nice experience here at Sicilian Cafe. I enjoyed the ice cream waffle though I did find things a tad on the pricier side but despite that would definitely return.

Really good coffee, and nice servers, foods always been good and the desserts are really what shines. But if you have somewhere to be and you're looking for a quick dine in -- doesn't matter how empty and slow it is inside it'll take forever to get your bill.

Sicilian & Spanish coffees. Spumoni ice cream.

We stopped in late afternoon for a Sicilian & Spanish coffee. Quiet, clean & empty this time of day. Couldn't resist a scoop of spumoni ice cream. Definitely recommend all three. Service was quick and friendly. Would absolutely return.

This was such a cool find in Toronto. Gotta say it was the worth the 30 minute walk I took lol. When we first came in, there was no host but the waitress told us to sit anywhere we like. One guest wanted an order super specific and I thought perhaps maybe the restaurant wouldn't be able to accommodate it but to my surprise, they did. It also came out pretty fast as well. I'm surprised that with the size of the food - it didn't have to take long. I ordered a Nervoso crepe and oh my god...it was huge lol. I just wanted a small dessert after I had poutine (earlier) and didn't expect a massive crepe right infront of me. Regardless, I finished it and every bite was delicious. The server was attentive and such a pleasure to have around.

I always IN for sweet and staying out late on a Saturday night! After having Japanese sushi, we looking for a place for a night Cap and my date suggested going to Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe for some crepes! She really knows how I roll! Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe is not one of those girly Cafe... Nothing Girly with Leaf's Game showing on TV (aside from the Leaf's being girly and they suck big time..?? that's a different story!) Freshly made Crepes/Waffles seems to be the most popular thing on the menu... So we decided to share a ice cream crepes... that was so yummy... but the tiramisu was one of the worst and the driest one I ever have! SKIP the cake!! Order anything else but that!! I have to give credit for Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe to stay open till 3 AM on Friday and Saturday night... What's better to have one of those crepes after a whole night of drinking?

Come for the cannoli and not for the bruschetta. On a rainy Saturday, there was plenty of tables available in the afternoon. The desserts looked delicious so we ordered the original and hazelnut cannoli and since we wanted something salty to go with it, we also ordered the bruschetta. The bruschetta were disappointing. It tasted like a mild chunky salsa over toast. It looked nice, but I could have made that taste better for a cheaper price. The cannoli were delicious and pretty big. The original was good but I really liked the hazelnut spread in the hazelnut cannoli. Overall, the service was patient and friendly, the cannoli were delicious, but the bruschetta was a real bummer. If I ever return, I would want to try their crepes because they looked

They should get perfect stars because there icecream is that good and priced great why don't they get perfect stars .it's because of the bad service they seem angry Like if you walk in there your making them work . It's been like this for years . There icecream can be found all over the GTA at most bakeries and high end stores . Bad energy always from staff . If all care about is tips work on your attitude .

I've been to Sicilian Sidewalk café plenty of times and I really like it! I find the prices to be reasonable, the food and the portions are great, the coffee drinks are very enjoyable and the staff is always friendly. I never felt rushed at this café; it's always comfortable and fun. I also love their big menu and the variety of food, desserts, and drinks! Every time I visit this café I've only seen one server for the entire place (I've been there during the mornings only) and when it gets a tad bit packed the service can get slow. I see people at the cafe a bit upset with the slow service, but what can the server do? There is only one person for the entire place, that person can't serve 10 people at once. The place needs more waiters/waitresses! I've only had one bad experience at Sicilian Sidewalk Café which was that my water glass was not cleaned properly, it had a funky smell and it totally grossed me out. Despite that, I gave this place another shot and had a yummy and clean experience. I plan to enjoy this café again!

    Tanti Baci crepe

*3.5 stars* This is my go to place when my friends and I are craving crepes/waffles when in Little Italy. Prices are reasonable- I think it was roughly $8 for a waffle and $7 for a crepe and the portions are large. There's a wide selection of desserts so you may end up mulling over the menu for awhile. It's a cute, old school mom and pop cafe feel to it which is a nice contrast to other places that go for the stark white or dark espresso wood decor. I chose the Tanti Baci crepe which is a crepe with 2 large scoops of bacio ice cream, nutella and hazelnut inside. Delicious. I also had the Americano which I left unfinished. Halfway through, I found it to be bitter. Meh...maybe I'll just stick to the desserts next time.

This is my default place to come for dessert if I happen be in the area. The gelato ice cream is excellent and the choices are pretty good.

I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
