Siam Thai is an absolutely amazing restaurant that I highly recommend. The decor is stunning--truly to die for--and offers plenty of fantastic photo opportunities, making it a perfect spot for both a delicious meal and some memorable pictures. Their lunch special is a real standout, priced at just $29 and including an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes--so much so that even the appetizer was large enough to share with two people! The drinks were also very delicious. The Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice was fantastic--full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The Satay Chicken with peanut dipping sauce was also a highlight; it came with four pieces as part of the lunch special, and the sauce was wonderfully rich. The Thai Summer Roll was another hit, especially with that tasty plum sauce--though it might be a bit spicy for some, it was just right for me. My cousins ordered the Crab Fried Rice, which was quite good, featuring real crab meat. The Calamari was crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Since it wouldn't have been the first combination I would have come up with, I have to give the owners credit for combining Thai food and American diner fare. Although the establishment is somewhat expensive, it is SO worth the cost. They provide both classic and contemporary Thai cuisine, with dishes like Thai tea French breakfast, disco fries (fries with curry and peanuts), pad thai with fried chicken, and many more. Absolutely delicious brunch. I still dream about the Thai Tea Babka French Toast and the Disco Fries. This diner is many things. Siam Thai was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly and made us feel completely at home. The siam platter is a must order with an array of appetizers to share. The raw oysters were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor--absolutely the perfect way to start the meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. The Manila clams were another standout, served in a rich, savory broth that we couldn't get enough of. And the Siam dessert platter is always the perfect way to finish--mango sticky rice, pudding and Thai iced tea ice cream was rich, decadent, and just the right amount of sweetness. I got the Siam Thai Crispy Chicken Wings and Spicy Basil Sauce with Chicken as my 2 Entrees, and let me tell you - both were super spicy! If you're sensitive to spice, this is a strong medium, in my opinion. They were bursting with flavor although I don't think either entree was fresh which was a bit disappointing. Both were sitting out in their buffet and needed to be warmed up. I'm so glad I had the Thai Iced Green Tea but even that wasn't enough to cool my mouth down. The ambiance, the decor and the furniture were attractive and mesmerizing as if you were in the jungles (Philippines). Felt cozy. It's a perfect spot for a date or a special celebration. I've always loved Thai food. Pad Thai, Tom yum, mango sticky rice, always part of my order. This is a good restaurant with great tasting Thai food. The only reason I rated it 4stars was because I find it a bit pricey considering the over all ambience of the place. The air-conditioning was not cool enough although it wasn't too hot inside, it wasn't as comfortable as you'd want it to be. But the 5star rating is for the staff who served me with smile, kind words, and has been very polite. I can see he was a bit tired but despite the busy surroundings, you can't see any hint of complain in his face. He was also able to accurately take note of my orders and special request. Good job! We found this gem through googling "Thai food in NY". The menu looks authentic enough (we are Thais) and decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. The food tasted very good and authentic and the prices were very reasonable (on average $16-$18 for a main dish). While some reviews on google claimed their food a bit on the sweet side and catering to non-Thais, we did not find that at all. In addition to serving good food, our waitress was very attentive and showed genuine interest in her customers. Very friendly staff with great food. This is the real deal. The food is legitimate "authentic" Thai. Our server spoke Thai which was a real plus as my wife's first language is Thai.  Notice that it uses lime juice instead of tamarind. I have yet to have a single dish of Pad Thai in Thailand that was made with tamarind. It is always made with lime juice or rice vinegar to get that sour element that is part of the Pad Thai flavors. This restaurant stays true to the Thai flavors you get in Thailand. The food was great and the spacing of the tables was very comfortable. I wish other restaurants would visit this restaurant to observe a comfortable seating arrangement. I highly recommend this restaurant. Super friendly. Recently my wife discovered the Siam restaurant on IG so we decided to check it out with the family. The vibe and ambiance was just as depicted. The service and waitstaff were impeccable, especially Wen, who answered all of our questions and made the best recommendations. The menu was really inviting and had a great number of selections. And the food definitely didn't disappoint -- it was beyond delicious. Meats were tender and succulent while the appetizers were so well seasoned and tasty. My wife is from Thailand so we are quite picky . Happily I have to say all the food was terrific here- nice presentation, decent portions and authentic Thai flavor.
