We saw the high reviews on yelp for this restaurant and were immediately intrigued - we just had to give it a try. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy, kind of has a cute Portland vibe to it. The service was prompt, our water glasses never went empty, and the food came out quickly. We started with the house-made spring rolls which were DELICIOUS. They came out piping hot and perfectly crispy with a freshly made pineapple sauce. I could have eaten those all day. 5/5 We also got an order of basil fried rice. It was fragrant and delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Not dry, not greasy. Portion size was large, would definitely order again. 5/5 The pad Thai was pretty good but not exceptional. We both agreed the flavor was a little on the plain side although the spiciness level was spot on. Would still order it again. 3.5/5 All in all this place is a welcome oasis in an area where good restaurants are pretty hard to come by. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it. read more

People are really friendly and kind. They were a bit disorganized which was hard to see but their friendliness kinda made up for it. For being disorganized they worked as a team pretty well. Food was really quick for takeout. Maybe 10 mins. I got Pad Thai, spring rolls, peanut sauce and white rice. The Pad Thai was most definitely better than heart c's. There wasnt a lot of flavor in it though. I got medium spice and was decent. Definitely needed the peanut sauce for extra flavor. But was good. Peanut sauce was really good. Different. Had peanut crunched up in it. Spring rolls, they were Gluten free and fairly good. Came with sweet and sour sauce. Their Rice, was moist. AVOCADO makes a huge difference. This is an odd review bcuz one dish I absolutely hated. Volcano Beef. The beef was not edible. But I also ordered dumplings covered w a curry nut sauce which was the bomb!! Chicken Pumpkin Curry that I took home & had the next day and WOW was it good. I just moved here in June and the owner was right, why did it take me six months to eat here?! The basil fried rice was amazing! The veggies were delicious and fresh, the chicken was perfectly cooked and spice was awesome. We also ordered the pad thai and added shrimp to the chicken and it was just as yummy and delicious. This restaurant offers one of the best values I have ever received. The price is modest, the quality superlative, and the portions huge. The decor is quirky -- my guess is that the current owners bought the location from a Western-themed restaurant -- and somewhat plain. Truly, the absolute best Thai food I have eaten in the last 15 years. Heat level was spot on. The group ordered mild, medium, and hot levels and hot was actually HOT. The papaya salad was delicate, fragrant, just perfect. The Siam basil was rich and savory. The crispy duck basil was "rich, duck was truly crispy, meat just fell off the bone so tender, and basil was flavorful and soft" (per hubs). Son says Tom yum was "it was delicious! It was perfect." I adore Thai food. This is good because there are often several choices in a given town. This is bad because most of the choices are uninspired at best. Siam Spice is inspired and then some. The staff is friendly and inviting. The curry is at once mellow and exceedingly flavorful. The pot stickers are a crackling, sweet, and savory wonder. You can even taste the individual flavors within the Pad Thai. But beyond the basics is where it gets even better. My wife commented that this is the first Thai restaurant at which she's wanted to try more than just our regular favorites. Basil noodles, ginger stir fry, coconut soup - it's all exceptional. The food is very good. We had a larger group, 6 adults and we arrived early, 6pm. So glad we did. The later it got the busier they were. Only two waitresses and one chef, so the orders were not coming out really fast, but not really slow either. Tip: arrive early. We all liked what we ordered and agreed that we'd order it again. We dined at Siam Spice in Longview. We were greeted by the owner/chef, and our waiter for the evening who was very knowledgeable, and helpful with our menu choices. The menu is easy to follow for newbies to Thai food; It even has a "heat" chart to help choose the spice level most comfortable for you. We chose Mild which gave our tastebuds a cozy warmth throughout the meal, and left a pleasant "glow" even after we left. Hubby tried Thai Iced Tea for the first time which is rich with a creamy vanilla and sweet spice flavor; Too rich for me, so I chose a simple canned Pepsi served with a glass of ice. We shared a delicious appetizer, Siam Dumpling in House Curry, which had 6 large meat/veg dumplings served in a curry sauce with roasted ground peanuts that was so good, we later spooned the extra sauce onto our steamed rice. We also shared a Mild Green Curry entrée with Chicken which also paired nicely with the steamed rice. I love my veggies, so I ordered the Siam Garden Stir-Fry with Chicken which was loaded with bright and crisp carrots, broccoli, onion, and more in a Mild light brown sauce similar to a sweet soy sauce. Hubby opted to omit the veggies in his Siam Rama Stir-Fry with Chicken in a tasty creamy peanut sauce. We agreed that next time we would share a curry or an appetizer, but not both in addition to our entrees because our meal was VERY filling, but I'm sure we will have trouble deciding which to omit next time. LOL Everything was wonderfully delicious; and our overall dining experience was very pleasant. Ordered chicken pad see ew for pickup on our road trip to the Oregon coast. Based on reviews I thought it was safe. Ordered when we were 20 minutes away, thinking this would be plenty of time. When I got there the man told me that my food wasn't ready because of the larger group that ordered right before I called (why tell me it'll be ready in 15 to 20 minutes then on the phone). Decided to use the restroom while I was waiting - no toilet paper and a roll of paper towels on the counter to use instead. Went back to the front to continue waiting. A little over 20 minutes after arriving I got my food. I'm assuming they were busy since multiple tables still had dirty plates left over. That's fine but it would have been nice to know a 40 minute wait for food and not 15-20. All good until I got to the car and there was a nice longer hair in my food and some undetermined pieces of who knows what? I don't think it's chicken? Anyway, the food is now sitting on the floor of my car waiting for our next stop so I can throw it out. read more

I told him I like to taste the other flavors and he suggested medium spice, which was just right , maybe a bit too mild. I liked that it had whole pieces of chicken, (the Thai place I like in Portland uses ground chicken for this dish). Not as good as the Chinese place in Portland but it went downhill and this dish is no longer offered. I went for lunch today at 12:15 and it wasn't busy! Waiters were very attentive and friendly! I ordered the Saim ramen hot with chicken and pot stickers with an ice tea. Pot stickers were fabulous, the Saim ramen was not hot but still very delicious and the tea was sweetened without me wanting it sweetened! I checked out the menu before going! Was excited to see ginger onion crab on the menu to find out it wasn't on the menu anymore?! I was bummed! Overall, I would go back again!
