Outside exterior easy to miss

Era mi primera vez probando shucos y estaban deliciosos. Es algo diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrada pero lo voy a recomendar a todos que vengan a comer aquí el ambiente está calmado.

Comida muy rica y rápido servicio. Uno de poco lugares que tienen sabor de original guatemalteco.

Lovely spot for Mexican food with fun vibes!…read more I came for Sunday brunch/lunch with some friends. I made a reservation through Yelp a couple days beforehand and there was plenty of availability. The restaurant is located right off Ventura Blvd and has an attached parking garage in the basement which can be accessed via the parking lot behind the restaurant. There were plenty of spots available Sunday afternoon when I came. It's a bit hidden, but there is an elevator from the garage to the top level where the restaurant is located as well. We had two babies in strollers with us, so I requested a table with plenty of space nearby for the strollers. They seated us outside on their covered patio, and indeed, we had plenty of space. I peeked inside and there's also a nice lounge area with a beautiful flower wall as well as a proper dining area. When we arrived, there was a live DJ spinning tunes. I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. Solid food all around. I would love to come back on a weekday and try their happy hour! Sipping on $5 margaritas and $6 sangrias sounds like my idea of a great time!

Anejo Cantina and Grill - This is their idea of queso...a bowl of unmelted cheese. My 6 year old niece could make this and it would taste better.

First of all - Gorgeous restaurant! Classic LA vibes with moody lighting and red booths inside and…read morea huge patio that almost makes you forget you're in LA. Also love that they bring complimentary chips and salsa. While the vibes and staff are both lovely, the food is just okay. A bit overpriced and mediocre in flavor, quality and freshness. We got a burrito for $29 that didn't come with any sides and was bland and there was no texture throughout. Ceviche was also a bit on the bland side, very small portion, and avocado had some pretty large brown spots. Overall it's a classic LA spot and worth a try.

An Apology Is Not a Resolution -- Very Disappointing Customer Service…read more We ordered a meal from Casa Vega through Uber Eats, including drinks that totaled approximately $42. We tipped based on the total value of our order, as one normally does. Unfortunately, the drinks never arrived. When we contacted Casa Vega, the restaurant acknowledged that the mistake was theirs. Apparently, someone had forgotten to staple the receipt to our order, which resulted in the drinks being left out. Mistakes happen. We understand that. But what separates good customer service from poor customer service is what a business does after acknowledging its mistake. When we asked Casa Vega to contact Uber Eats to help resolve the issue, we were left with an apology rather than any meaningful assistance. This wasn't a missing packet of salsa. It was approximately $42 worth of merchandise that we paid for and never received. Furthermore, our tip was calculated as a percentage of an order that was never completely fulfilled. The restaurant acknowledged responsibility, yet the burden of resolving the problem was left with the customer. "Oops, we're sorry" is not a customer service policy. When a restaurant makes a mistake, particularly one involving a significant amount of money, acknowledging the error should be the beginning of the resolution, not the end of the conversation. We expected better from Casa Vega. A restaurant's reputation isn't built solely on the food it serves. It's also built on how it treats customers when something goes wrong.

Food 10/10 Service 10/10…read moreAmbiance 7/10 Stopped by because I wanted some bomb shrimp tacos and I heard really good things about this place especially the shrimp tacos and crunchy tacos and sure enough I see what the hype was about. The place itself is a super hole in a wall type of situation but immediately you are greeted by such great staff members I ordered my food and went to sit outside because it was a bit hot inside but I love people watching so outside it was lol. 2 LOADED shrimp tacos with rice and beans and a LOADED chicken crunchy taco with a Coke Zero only 27$ which was very reasonable especially for the great quality, they brought me out chips and salsa and a side of green sauce and everything was just so fresh I didn't even need to ask for more sauce. I will def be coming back and trying other things on the menu. The staff was super attentive and caring which is always an A+ for me.

Tried their Mega breakfast burrito and it did not live up to my expectations based on reviews here…read more I had high hopes and this burrito was just meh. Not bad, but not delicious. Pros: great service and friendly staff! They do not skimp on the meat and food is hot and fresh in minutes! Cons:The "golden potatoes" were a non-factor in the burrito. All the flavors and textures mushed together for a consistent average creation. The salsas were also lackluster. Neither had any kick, green was watery and the red remained me more of pace in a bottle than freshly made salsa. I want to support local spots so I might give them another chance and ask for crispier potatoes and crosstown fingers the salsas are better the next time.

The star of the show is their fresh, soft flour tortillas. I love a good breakfast taco, so I went with the Neches (eggs, refried pinto beans, and cheddar) and the Blanco (egg whites, mushrooms, and Monterey Jack). Both were delicious! My husband was hungry and somehow ended up ordering FIVE tacos! He did pretty well, though, and managed to eat four of them. His favorites were definitely the ones with the refried pinto beans. We also shared the chips and guacamole with our friends, along with an order of the Loaded Queso. And don't skip the brisket quesadilla! The only downside is that there are literally only four parking spots out front. But if you circle around the area, you should be able to find some street parking. There's also an outdoor patio, and water, utensils, and napkins are all self-serve. Service was great, one of the employees even stopped by at the end of our meal to offer us complimentary iced tea to go. We had a great meal here and will definitely be visiting the newer location closer to home soon.

They have an indoor dining area as well as a spacious covered patio. I also loved that their drinks are served in mason jars! Water, utensils, and napkins are self-serve. The service was excellent, and one of the managers (?) even stopped by at the end of our meal to offer us complimentary to-go drinks, which was so thoughtful! Their menu has a great variety of both breakfast and regular tacos, and you can choose between flour or corn tortillas - both types of tortillas tasted so yummy and freshly made. Everything we ordered was so good! - Trinity breakfast taco (eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheddar) - definitely a classic breakfast taco - Brisket taco - comes with a juicy and tender brisket - Queso (served with chips) - great for sharing! - Cookie milk iced coffee - made with chocolate chip cookie-steeped oat milk and wasn't overly sweet which I appreciate There's a small parking lot with about four spaces, otherwise, street parking is plentiful nearby. Overall, a great spot for brunch or a casual meal!
