Birreria taco and a piece of bone
    Aaron S.

So I went to this place this morning and wanted to order a breakfast burrito. I walk in and the lady hands me a menu. There's 1 other person in the restaurant and that's it. I look for a breakfast burrito and it's not on the menu I then ask her if they have them and she confirms. She then starts looking on the menu as if I didn't already do that and she can't find it either. She then talks to the cook in Spanish and she comes out and says they can make whatever I want. I said I wanted a breakfast burrito with asada, potatoes, rice, beans and bacon. She says ok. I also ordered 2 birreria tacos. She says ok I'll make them now. 10 minutes later food comes out and now I go to pay. She says "That'll be $32.95" i literally almost shit myself. How in the hell can a burrito and 2 tacos be $32 fu*kin dollars!!?!? So I ask and she says "the burrito is $11.99, then I charged you $8 for eggs, potatoes and steak and bacon" UMMM WTF Of course there's no individual pricing on the menu, no itemized receipt, and a very terrible explanation from the lady working the counter. So I explained that it's extremely expensive for just a burrito and a couple tacos. She apologized and the proceeded to charge me another$1.50 for using my card (way to add insult to injury ‍) Way too expensive, terrible service, and definitely won't be coming back. The 2 stars are for the actual food. It was really good except for the big piece of bone in my birreria taco ‍

Food was great went early on a Sunday at 8:32 looking for some Birria spots. Great pricing aswell for the quality food But also found this spot because of la taco and. I got they're. Barbacoa plate as seen below and I also got one taco durangense pork meat with Chile it had some little bones but not to bad mostly soft. Fatty meat overall cured me of my craving and was quick aswell definitely recommend

Foods okay, a lil pricey, a while ago I had a bad experience at the place. The owner was spraying bug spray like 3 ft away from me while I was eating. I looked at him with a "wtf?" type of expression and he said "the can says it's non-toxic for humans" (in spanish). Also on another occasion I saw one of the cooks drop a chicken leg on the floor, pick it, and put it in the pot he was cooking in. Check out the Pic for the HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS. This place is NOT CLEAN and DOES NOT HANDLE FOOD PROPERLY.

They did ask me green or red sauce.the green sauce that I chose was on the sour side. To sour for that type of egg in my opinion. The tortillas in the chilaquiles were soggy. I like them crispy. BUT. THE INGREDIENTS THEMSELVES ARE GOOD. The red sauce is tasty and a perfect spicy! (On the hotter end), and their beans , rice and table chips on the side are good! AND THE ASADA, omg. their asada is fyeee. The horchata was decent as well. Do you see my dilemma? The things I'm coming back for: THE ASADA AND THE FISH BATTERED TACO CASA GRANDE STYLE. The fish battered WAS PERFECT. the slaw and tortilla that came with it were mid. BUT I AM COMING BACK TO EAT THAT PERFECT BATTERED FISH TACO NO TORTILLA hahaha. The chipotle sauce one was ok. But the texture, fluffy, crispy ratio was heavenly.

I recently tried out El Cocinero's food at an event that they catered to. As a person who eats meat and is not restricted, I would come here for the good food. The vegan al pastor had chunks of pineapple and it is seasoned and cooked to taste just like the meat version. The texture is just a little bit different but it does resemble a lot like meat. The vegan pastor also tastes just like the meat version, just less "smoky" and the texture is softer. The rice is flavorful and fluffy. The beans are seasoned just enough to have flavor but not compete with the other dishes. The creamy chipotle sauce was perfect topping the rice and beans. I do like vegan food but the only reference I had with Mexican vegan are places that try to add fake cheese and lean heavily on beans and rice. This business shows that you can still have all the flavors and not rely on cheese and meat. They focus on the flavors and not what would make non-vegans feel comfortable. Initially, I was going to give this first time experience a 4 star review so that it encourages me to go check out the restaurant so I can add the service and the ambiance. However, I was lucky enough to bring home leftovers and as I was eating it, the food tastes better. Had to add the extra star!

This place had everything you'd need and tastes so good for a vegan spot. You would be able to fool me and tell me this is actual meat and I'd believe it. That's how good it was! I got the quesadilla (half asada, half al pastor) omg that was the best thing I have ever had. The cheese melts and pulls just like regular Cheese. The meat was so juicy and good flavor. I'd get it again and again But I'd probably try the tacos next time along with the quesadilla tbh. I also got the flan which was tbh less sweeter than a regular flan. But hey I still loved it, I don't complain about it. It was still delicious. (Funny incident, I ordered the flan at the front and paid for it.i wasn't told anything else by the guy at the register. SoThen went back to the table and Waited and waited and waited for a good 20 minutes, till I asked about it and was told that I can just grab it out of the refrigerator!!!! Smh, as much as I was upset as much as I for some reason just found it funny. So don't do the same mistake I did and just go grab it right after you pay for it.) Overall, I loved everything and all the things about this place. Nice seating areas, nice environment , helpful workers, convenient parking! And most importantly, delicious food. Definitely be visiting this place again!

When I come here, I usually order the cheese enchiladas. They're the best I've ever had. Perfect flavor, cheesiness, and consistency (thickness/density). This time around, I decided to try out something different, the Carne Asada plate. It was fantastic. Usually, restaurants use cheaper cuts of meat like skirt or flank steak for their carne asada. Maybe I'm losing my mind, but the carne asada I had looked and tasted a lot like ribeye steak, which happens to be my favorite cut of beef. For my drink, I had the horchata like I normally do. The horchata here is something special. It's thicker and creamier than your average horchata and packs a cinnamon punch. The only knock on this place is the parking situation. There's limited parking relative to the size of the establishment. You may have to find street parking around the park nearby. But don't let something like that discourage you from checking this place out. This place is worth it. I drive up to the Valley from the South Bay just to visit this restaurant.
