    Breakfast

I went on a Saturday morning with husband, upon entering there are no instructions on if you should seat yourself or wait to be seated. Second, not sure if we order on the counter or table They asked us to order on the counter but also saw some people taking orders on the tables so pretty much depends on who you are Menu is complicated as there is no description of what it is besides the name of the dish. Hence they are only looking to serve their own kind who knows what the dishes are called and that it includes. Third, my husband found a long hair in his meal, which was cooked into the food which was pretty gross Decor looks really old and the light bulbs in the hallway front of the bathroom is out Overall, we will not be recommending this place nor returning

Hopped on Yelp to find a coffee spot and Steeple House came up. Interestingly enough, the coffee shop is located within a church campus so it's a bit harder to find. We did get to find it thanks to a kind young man who directed us. Now, don't be afraid to stop in because it's located within a church campus. The coffee they serve are great. From Onyx to Black and White Coffee Roasters. The litmus test for how well a barista can do is ordering an espresso straight. My brother's shot was under extracted and he gave it a 2.5, mine was better and was a 3.5/4 Majority of shops will definitely pull shots and use roasts that are more in the classic profile which we don't really like, but it hits with 95 percent of "coffee snobs" we however, prefer true medium roasts that aren't "burnt" or "strong", but when most people are ordering iced lattes, we understand that you need that burnt taste in order to cut through all that milk. Service was great and the vibe is super chill. It's a relatively small shop but it's a nice place to study and to chill.

Like it's fully in a church village kind of thing. While drinking my coffee, little kids were brought out on their recess to play. So be aware of that, but there's also an inside section if you want a bit more quiet. The interior is really cute with free WiFi and fun drinks. The staff was very friendly and nice. I ordered the banana cold brew which was really good and my friend had the matcha latte. The chocolate croissant was also really good! Delicious! :)

When I arrived just before 10am on a Saturday, there was a staff member and a customer, so I didn't have to wait long to order. Inside, there was a couch and a few tables for seating, and the background music was great - very chill vibes. I chose the Mango Pandan Latte ($6.75). It was creamy, fragrant, and balanced the flavors of mango and pandan very well. Minutes after I received my drink, the staff member brought out another drink for me. They said that they re-did my drink because the first one didn't have sugar, which was kind of them, but unnecessary. I preferred the first drink because it wasn't as sweet.

Unfortunately I was told that they just turned off the espresso machine at 7 pm. I ordered a couple of their recommended menu drinks and a buko pandan tea with boba. Although the ladies were very friendly and got my drinks ready in a timely manner I wasn't a fan of the drinks I picked out. I got the t'ube and banana pudding. The t'ube only had a very slight hint of ube and was very bland. The banana pudding had the banana taste and was sweet but I just wasn't a fan. The buko pandan tea with boba was also not to my liking. However boba was fresh and just the right amount of chewy goodness. I'd like to give this place another try and hopefully make it there before 7 pm to try that darn Pandan drink! Overall it's a cute little tea house to pass some time. They have some chairs and a tv that plays some music. Only down side is the location. It's in a very busy intersection on the corner of Roscoe and Woodman. Getting there and getting out is a scary challenge since people always drive crazy there. It shares a small parking lot with a handful of other businesses. Parking is definitely a challenge during their business hours.

The prices are not commensurate to the type of strip mall and overall valley location that the spot is in. Also, the churros took 10 minutes yet somehow tasted stale and lacking cinnamon. This place might be for those that like to make their life hard...those that expect a treat to have drawbacks...those who enjoy paying more for less. Admittedly, good churros in the valley are hard to come by. Churro Man sucks, and Junior's Churros switched over to catering because they were the best on the streets. Come here if you don't believe me, but I promise you won't be back.

I see Churros.. and I buy one or a few! I'm usually getting Churros from a stand at a festival.. but when I saw the store, I had to go inside : ) Service was a little slow, not many people were waiting. Maybe they make items to order. My items were hot. Location is at a strip mall, lots of parking. I got the Cinnamon Sugar Churro with sauces to go. I would have wanted to stay, have a coffee and play a game or two, but I had to get home so I placed my order to go. The place looked so fun, a place to hang out for all different ages. I saw vintage toys and items for sale; the place looked like a wonderful place for a collector to have a great time adding to his or her collection. The place has cool vibes. Next time I'm in town, I plane to enjoy my Churros inside. Cheers!~

I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! They're dog friendly, I think ) waited longer than 10 minutes for her drink. However, this was during a rush and when it was probably the busiest in the morning (?) AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Because of this, it encourages you to acknowledge your fellow human being sitting across, or beside you. The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. The environment feedback I woukd give is perhaps a stronger sun shade in the windows that the bar and stools face. I first sat here but within minutes decide to move because the heat was a bit too much for me. Again! A personal preference. Coffee shops can also naturally get warm due to the energy being used for the machines and refrigerators, so something to consider. The air-conditioning kicked in a little later which helped make it more comfortable. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.
