Edited to add: cinnamon is not green. I am more than happy to add more photos. I was not rude, nor am I entitled. When I called your restaurant , I only called to INFORM, I didn't even want my money back. Very unfortunate this is how you do business. I placed an order through DoorDash yesterday & received MOLDY food. I ordered a Ms. Annie with scrambled eggs and sausage links. The eggs, sausage, and home fries were fine. When I took a bite of my cinnamon roll, I immediately knew it was bad. Stale & somewhat odd tasting. I looked down & realized it had MOLD in it. Absolutely disgusting, and impossible to miss when looking at the top of it. I'm so disgusted that they would send this order out. When I called to share my concerns with management (Amber), she was extremely rude to me. "This is the worst time for you to call, can you speed it up? What do you need?" When I informed her she was serving moldy food she said "Well that's never happened before" which I find very hard to believe...Very unfortunate as the rest of my meal was not bad.

Yesterday, a friend picked Short Stacks to celebrate his birthday for breakfast. I ordered the Cajun breakfast that came with grits, 3 eggs, and a andouille sausage with onions and sweet peppers. I asked for cheddar cheese on the grits, but it arrived without, so I sent it back. When they brought it back, the cheese was just added in it like they mixed it up in the back and brought it back out. It wasn't melted, the grits were cold anyway. My husband ordered pancakes, hashbrowns, and eggs. The waitress seemed a bit new to the company she wasn't sure about the way the hashbrowns were cooked so said the hashbrowns were grilled then they came out fried. My husband was not feeling them. He swapped them for fries. Our friend got the same thing. It was probably an off day, but we might try again.

Blueberry short stack

The new chef is excellent! I ALWAYS get the blueberry pancakes, which have been the best I've ever had, so I was nervous when they got a new chef. He made even better blueberry pancakes! Perfection! Service is always friendly and ambiance feels like home away from home. Highly recommend!

Overall 4.5/5 Ordered their French toast combo with eggs, bacon and hashbrowns, eggs Florentine, and veggie style skillet with sausage, biscuit and gravy. Everything was great! The French toast was the best French toast I've ever had! I got it with a side of whipped cream . The veggie skillet was amazingggg and their sausage gravy and biscuits are to die for! My only comment was that the poached egg was poached a little on the hard side, and I had inedible parts of the tomato in my eggs Florentine. The bacon was also really crispy (like a chip). Service was good! She was really nice and checked up on us regularly. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean!

I was visiting a friend out in Loxahatchee, which is very much off the beaten path. We mostly enjoyed leisurely mornings at home but decided to head out for a casual diner breakfast. Thanks to Yelp, I found Short Stacks. Our GPS misdirected us to the residential area across the street from the actual location. When I called for assistance in finding the cafe, Miss Annie answered the phone. She was a doll as she stayed on the phone to ensure we found the spot. It was a lovely morning so we sat outside. It's just a simple area in front, that faces the parking lot of a strip mall. It was shaded and the breeze was blowing, which made the experience very pleasant. We really enjoyed all the adorable doggies coming and going to the veterinary office down the way. In addition to the sweet hostess Miss Annie, our server was so helpful and attentive. She kept our glasses full and checked on us often. Customer service is top notch here. I enjoyed a Veggie Skillet with big chunks of fresh green peppers, onions and mushrooms on top of the best breakfast potatoes ever! My friends loved the food as well. They have a huge crepe menu that I will try next time. FYI: They offer MORNING HAPPY HOUR!!

Quick summary: Food = 5 stars, Service = 3 stars…read more I went to lunch with some friends, and everyone enjoyed their meals. We shared an order of delicious lobster deviled eggs. What's not to love with this flavor combo? Three people had salads including the Healthy Nut Salad, the Chopped Salad with Chicken, and the Necane Chicken Salad. Each of these included an interesting and tasty mix of greens, nuts, fruits, veggies and a delicious citronelle dressing. The portion sizes were large and the salads were quite filling. The only concern was that the piece of chicken on the Healthy Nut Salad was somewhat dry and did not have much seasoning. When cut and mixed in with the other salad ingredients and dressing, it was ok. I had the turkey melt sandwich, which included a fabulous blueberry chutney and melted cheese on a tasty toasted "rustic" bread. It came with a large quantity of oh-so-edible french fries. One person had the ahi tuna poke, which was as delicious as it looked. Such a nicely stacked presentation! It included quinoa, cucumber, mango, avocado, tomatoes and onions. The service was a bit lacking throughout our meal. We did not consistently receive refills on our water in a timely fashion, and we had to go searching for our server to bring us our check. Would I go back? Absolutely! The lunch menu had a wide variety of options including a large range of interesting appetizers, salads, flatbread pizzas, tacos pastas and larger entrees. Probably not the best place to go if you are in a hurry though. Instead, plan to enjoy a delicious leisurely lunch.

We requested a booth near the back and they made it happen. The servers were equally as helpful and friendly. We had the $45/person fixed special and the food was amazing and plentiful. There was no way we could eat everything on our plates. The turkey meat was arguably the most moist I've ever had. We were blown away by how delicious everything was. This was our first trip there and definitely not our last.

There was a good amount of people there around lunchtime yesterday. The aesthetic of this place is modern and clean and very Florida-seque. I went with the tuna poke wrap and loved that the server ask if you have any food allegories, something I got accustomed to being over in Europe. I waited for about 10 minutes for my order, and when I received it I was very surprised. It was this huge wrap with a side of baked pita chips. The pita chips were kinda burnt, so they were a no for me. However, the wrap was on a whole wheat wrap with raw tuna, rice, avocado, veggies, and a side of a spicy aioli. It was like eating a poke bowl in a wrap form. The ponzu yuzu sauce made the fresh raw tuna standout. They filled the wrap with so many ingredients, I could only eat a half of the wrap. I wasn't a fan of the spicy aioli, only because it wasn't spicy. It did leave me wanting to sprinkle some sriracha on it. This place did exceed my expectations and I get the hype. I can't wait to come back to try the avocado toast and a smoothie.

No stars Review for Skillets…read more This was a very disappointing experience and a terrible start to our family day. We waited over 45 minutes outside despite there being plenty of empty tables. Our party included two children and three adults. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes before even getting coffee, and only after asking. The food was poorly prepared and tasteless. * The French toast was advertised as generously dipped in eggs and made with sourdough bread. It was dry, bland, and did not resemble sourdough at all. * The biscuits were hard, and the gravy was unidentifiable and did not resemble southern-style food in any way. * The corned beef hash looked raw and unappetizing and completely ruined our child meal. * The potatoes were absolutely awful. We had planned our day around visiting Lion Country Safari, so after investing nearly two hours between waiting and service, leaving was not an option. We left still hungry and frustrated, needing to find lunch elsewhere but short on time. Our waitress was pleasant and absolutely deserved the 25 percent tip we left her. However, service overall was disorganized. At one point she bumped into our table and did not even realize she was our assigned server. I had to explain that we had been waiting long enough and needed our children order taken immediately. To make matters worse, when we were leaving, a staff member exited the ladies restroom, which smelled terrible, and walked straight out without washing her hands. She passed directly in front of us. Between the excessive wait, poor food quality, lack of attentiveness, and hygiene concerns, this experience was unacceptable. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The venue was so pretty, it surpassed any of my expectations when I signed up for a farm to table dinner. The barn was beautifully decorated and organized, hosting 250 guests yet never felt packed. The stage area sits high so any seat is a good seat with a view of performers or speakers. Upon arrival we were greeted by the event organizer and by Swank's farm owner who told us a bit about the farm and their message about locally grown and sourced food. He also informed us about how they offer monthly produce bags, "Swank Sacks" delivered to Whole Foods Market who they partnered up with, where you can pick up your produce bag with items all grown at Swank farm, providing you a taste of some of the seasons flesh's and organic produce. The evening flew by while listening to the delightful sounds of live jazz and enjoying our carefully and deliciously prepared 5 course meal by all the amazing guest chefs that night. The space is clean, modern, and has a laid-back but upscale brunch vibe. Sitting at the bar was the perfect choice the setup is sleek, and it gives you a front-row view of everything going on. Between the lighting, the open feel, and the energy in the room, it just felt like a place you can relax, vibe, and enjoy your food. We sat at the bar, and I highly recommend it if you want the full experience. The bartenders were amazing super welcoming, engaging, and entertaining while making drinks. It made the whole visit feel fun and personal. Now let's get into the food because this is where they really shine. We ordered: * Banana Bourbon Coconut French Toast - $16 * Regular French Toast (side) - $16 * Oxtail & Grits - $25 * Eggs & Sausage - $10 First, the French toast... absolutely incredible. The bread was extremely soft, rich, and perfectly soaked without being soggy. The banana bourbon coconut flavor took it to another level sweet, buttery, and full of flavor. Definitely the star of the table. The oxtail & grits were just as impressive. The oxtail was tender, well-seasoned, and fell right off the bone, paired with creamy, smooth grits that balanced everything out perfectly. Even the eggs and sausage simple but done right. No complaints across the board. Total came out to around $67 before tax, and honestly, it was worth every dollar considering the quality, portions, and overall experience. Overall: Great food, great ambience, and excellent customer service. This is one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. 10/10 I'll definitely be back.

My husband had one of their breakfast specials, while I had something from the lunch side of their menu. He got their "Georgia Breakfast". It had two biscuits with sausage and cheese topped with sausage gravy along with two over easy eggs and grits. He said the biscuits were wonderful -- nice and soft inside. We were surprised to learn they were not house made, but from a food service company, Cheney Brothers. I got their crispy chicken club sandwich. The all white meat chicken was breaded and fried. It was very good. Came with a few strips of bacon, a large slice of red tomato, and a lettuce leaf. The bacon could have been a tad more well done. And the bun -- called a Kaiser roll on the menu -- was more like a hamburger bun. I didn't eat the bread. Got potato salad as my side. It was eggy and slightly sweet from the pickle relish. Good, but not my favorite. I had to get a biscuit to go -- just to try one -- and ate it in the car with the provided butter as my "dessert". Glad we got to try this place. A brief drive south, Morgan's is nestled among auto body shops and parts dealers. Plenty of parking outside. And, as soon as we entered we knew this was our newest go-to. Unassuming facade with the name out front. On entry about 7 booths and 6 tables, together with counter service for a handful more. Classic diner griddle in the open kitchen. Seasonal (Halloween) decor. Classic diner menu. Plenty of options of nearly everything for everyone. Servers were conversational, fun, and pleasant. Quick on their feet. No delays for drinks or food. First cup of coffee was thin, so our server/owner brewed a fresh double cup to accommodate taste. A perfect veggie omelette with grits and English muffin disappeared. My chicken fried steak and eggs with sausage gravy and a house baked biscuit was a perfect plate. Every component was precise - eggs over exactly medium, crispy breaded steak, exceptional sausage gravy, and a biscuit that had to be held down so it didn't float away. Bottomless drinks and great food in a clean, well-lighted space. The extra boost is the most reasonable prices anywhere in south Florida. I cannot wait to return with more friends. This off the pages tasty venue should not be a complete secret! Can I leave 6 stars???
