This was a better experience for my husband than for me. Service was good and friendly. Although it did take a while for us to receive our food. And quite a while for us to get our check, as the waitress was involved with a long conversation with some folks a few tables over from us and it was hard to get her attention. We came for lunch as we were going to a couple other stores in this plaza. We've been here many times over the years as it was a place my mom used to come with her friends; however, we hadn't been here recently. Breakfast is served all day and is really what I should have ordered. But I'd eaten a big breakfast and was craving a more lunch-like meal. I had their chicken Caesar wrap without the croutons. The sandwich was okay with pieces of white meat chicken, lettuce, and dressing. When I picked it up, it fell apart on the plate. I didn't mind, as I got to choose what of the mix I wanted to eat. The well-done crinkle cut fries were okay as well. It wasn't that it was bad, just that it wasn't anything special. I think I just ordered wrong. My husband's country breakfast had eggs, biscuits, and gravy. He liked his meal. I tried their gravy as it's usually one of my weaknesses, but didn't care for it. In any case, I would still order a breakfast for lunch next time we come. Prices are very reasonable here. You order and eat at your table, but you pay up front at the cashier as you leave. They also have a number of cakes, cookies, and muffins from which to choose on the way out. We brought home a slice of red velvet cake which was quite good and less expensive than what you'd pay for a slice anywhere -- including the Publix a couple doors down. It tasted homemade with its sweet cream cheese frosting. As it's a convenient stop when nearby, I'm sure we will be here again. read more

The food is good and the servers are pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my Country Special, which had 2 eggs, biscuit and sausage gravy and a side of home fries. I came in here mid week in the morning to grab some breakfast. There was IHOP in this plaza, but I decided to revisit, and I was satisfied!!! I ordered the catfish meal that came with scrambled eggs and home fries and I also had an omelette with pancakes. Everything was so delicious. Everything was made fresh and with two tomatoes on the side.... I cannot complain!!!Yes, it's a small interior but the food made this experience worth it. This is my first time dining in by the way, I am glad that I got the first hand experience of how breakfast is ran on the inside. I've been on a diner kick lately and in this strip mall located in green acres sits a diner named Pete's Place. The atmosphere is inviting and usually packed with regulars and newcomers looking to socialize with friends and family over a simple meal. Rory who attended to us is amazing with the diner packed we were served with ease. She checked on us periodically and the other members of the staff did as well. Team work is evident here. The food is what you'd expect at a diner with all the cravings and fixings we want. No shortage of odd requests as they'd hook you up with extra well done hash browns if you so desire. The pancakes for the side orders are perfect as they're half sized and not full sized pancakes. Perfect if you just want a taste but not have it as a full meal. The chicken and waffles were really good as well. Everything was gray and the only reason I didn't get five stars is because the waitress was rude. We ordered pancakes instead of toast and she brought toast when we told her we were pancakes she continued to insist we order toast. They decided to change the toast to pancakes and then when they brought the pancakes she still made a slick comment about us ordering toast.
