While in the area, I needed temporary checks for our account. Found this Navy Federal branch…read morenearby. They took care of our financial needs quickly and courteously. Great service level overall. What really caught my attention was this NFCU branch's attention to customer & staff health and safety. Staff at the door to direct traffic, making sure customers maintain social distancing. A staff person dispensed hand santiser to each customer entering the lobby. The person asked customers what services they required. If a customer needed a credit union officer's services, the staff person took the customer's phone number so the customer could wait in the car until the officer was ready. If a teller could handle the customer's needs, the customer went in when social distancing allowed. Blue tile markings clearly indicated distances. When I got to teller, I saw a tape fence made sure the teller were six feet or so apart. Between us, a little table with a PIN pad and a tray with a pen. Nicely set up. I don't know when I'll be back in the area, but I now know where I go for my credit union services.

It's super easy access right off the highway and they have plenty of parking and a large drive-through. The building isn't as nice and new as some of the others I've been to, but, I was on this side of town and running errands so this is it. I checked in, no line or wait, and was able to quickly fill out the paperwork I came to fill out to update my accounts and discuss a few other items. In and out and easy as pie. I recently came here with my sister so she could buy a vehicle. We really enjoyed our sales guy…read moreRuddy. He was great to work with and made the experience very seamless. The only negative thing that I have to say about the experience is that I had asked when we sat down for the loan what percentage the rates started at. We were told they started at 5.25%. My sister has good credit so I wasn't expecting her payment to fall in a much higher percentage bucket. We were good with the price of the vehicle, and the warranty that she added on. However, and this is a big however, until we were signing the documents, did we see for the first time that the loan she was being given was at over 14% APR. This is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of for somebody who has good credit. We wasted no time going over to Navy Federal and securing her a proper loan at a reasonable rate. The amount that Carmax was trying to charge her in interest was more than half of what the vehicle cost with the add-ons. Let that sink in. Do not sign blindly and make sure you understand what you would be paying in interest. I highly recommend getting pre-approved elsewhere for a loan first and not using their financing. You have three days to get a loan elsewhere and have it changed over, but I would suggest making sure you're eligible before you go car broke. We didn't see any of that until half way through signing the contract. Kind of crazy!

Didn't tell her about the 10 day return, didn't place a bow when she bought it. Very unsupportive despite the car being beautiful she decided to return it because the service was soo bad. He was suggesting her not to go through the process for self employed income, say it would take sooooo long. Denying this resulted in a very high interest rate. Mike thought bo one would ever return a Honda. Well surprise surprise mike. She now has a brand new Mazda, champagne service with a bow! and lower interest rate. CARMAX do better ! especially servicing women.
