Orange Auto - 2017 Rav4

Orange Auto

I can't say how stoked I am to be the owner of the 2008 Chevy Avalanche LTZ that I purchased from…read moreOrange Auto!!! I came across this awesome place on Monday the 2nd of April 2018 while actually going to look at another Avalanche on a different lot. The Orange color of the building caught my eye, as well as the color of the truck (white) against the building itself. After test driving the truck on Monday, I had my wife look at it on Tuesday and she gave me the blessing to buy. The manager Kelly went above and beyond to answer any and all questions/concerns that I asked of him and at no time during the process did he pressure me or my wife! If you are looking for great friendly top-notch customer service...go check them out, as I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an awesome car buying experience!!!

CarMax

I recently came here with my sister so she could buy a vehicle. We really enjoyed our sales guy…read moreRuddy. He was great to work with and made the experience very seamless. The only negative thing that I have to say about the experience is that I had asked when we sat down for the loan what percentage the rates started at. We were told they started at 5.25%. My sister has good credit so I wasn't expecting her payment to fall in a much higher percentage bucket. We were good with the price of the vehicle, and the warranty that she added on. However, and this is a big however, until we were signing the documents, did we see for the first time that the loan she was being given was at over 14% APR. This is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of for somebody who has good credit. We wasted no time going over to Navy Federal and securing her a proper loan at a reasonable rate. The amount that Carmax was trying to charge her in interest was more than half of what the vehicle cost with the add-ons. Let that sink in. Do not sign blindly and make sure you understand what you would be paying in interest. I highly recommend getting pre-approved elsewhere for a loan first and not using their financing. You have three days to get a loan elsewhere and have it changed over, but I would suggest making sure you're eligible before you go car broke. We didn't see any of that until half way through signing the contract. Kind of crazy!

DO NOT SPEND $1 AT CARMAX VIRGINIA BEACH. Not on a vehicle. Not on repairs. Take your business…read moreelsewhere. My daughter purchased a vehicle here in June. We were repeatedly assured that CarMax thoroughly inspects its vehicles and that hers was safe and reliable. Within ONE WEEK, we were already dealing with a warning light. Now, additional mechanical concerns have left us questioning the quality of those inspections and the assurances we were given. It took TWELVE phone calls over THREE DAYS, plus contacting CarMax across multiple social media platforms, just to get ONE returned call from service leadership. When I finally spoke with the manager, his explanation was that he had been on vacation. Apparently, accountability takes PTO, too. When I requested the vehicle's complete pre-sale inspection and service history, I was told it couldn't be provided. Interesting, considering how heavily CarMax promotes its inspection process. When I questioned the salesperson's assurances, service leadership essentially told me that wasn't their department's responsibility. And, of course, the predictable response: "She declined the extended warranty." Yes, she did. She also purchased a vehicle based on repeated assurances from your sales team. Declining an extended warranty doesn't mean a customer forfeits the right to question the condition of the vehicle they were sold. CarMax is now willing to evaluate the vehicle for over $300, with repairs at our expense. Given this experience, I wouldn't trust this location with another dollar of our money. What concerns me most is the complete lack of ownership. Sales isn't responsible for service. Service isn't responsible for sales. Leadership can't return calls. And somehow, the customer is expected to accept all of it because it's "company policy." My advice to anyone experiencing issues with this location? BE LOUD. Document everything. Contact corporate. Make your concerns public. In my experience, twelve phone calls weren't enough to get a timely response. It took reaching out across social media before someone finally called back. This was our first CarMax purchase, and it will absolutely be our last at this location. I strongly encourage potential customers to read the recent service department reviews before making a financial commitment here. My recommendation is simple: DO NOT SPEND $1 AT THIS LOCATION. Not for sales. Not for service. Not for repairs. Go somewhere else. A company's reputation is built on how it treats customers when something goes wrong, not just how quickly it closes a sale. Based on our experience, CarMax Virginia Beach has failed that test spectacularly. Corporate is reviewing our concerns. I'll update this review if their response warrants it.

Driver's World - The car I purchased at Drivers World

Demario Street was on top of the game from the moment we first spoke on the phone til I drove off the lot in a vehicle that far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Driver's World (and Mr. Street in particular) when you are in the market for your next vehicle! wdodson NFK

I waited a while to leave this review. Naturally, the day you buy the car is the best service…read moreyou're going to receive at a dealership. For me, every time I have come here has been an amazing, gracious experience. I was sold my car by the dapper C.J. Morris, who is a man that keeps things real. Each time I came in afterward he recognizes me and shakes my hand. Drivers World has a good policy of "price as marked" with no haggling, since their prices are already low. I don't know about that across the board, but my 2010 Hyundai Accent was a great deal. I have had two issue happen with my car since its purchase. The first was when my spare key came in from the Hyundai Mother Ship. We tried it out and it got stuck in the ignition! Samantha, in their service dept., immediately got me a rental and called a locksmith to look at it the next day. My car was fixed up that next day too, the locksmith had to re-cut part of the key. My second issue was when my car suddenly didn't start one day after work. I took a panicked trip in the tow truck to Drivers World where they got me a loaner car that night. They called me in the morning and told me it was the starter. I returned my loaner and they got me a rental; a few days later I picked up my car from Checkered Flag Hyundai. So far, everything has been covered and I always get treated nice there. I had a great buying experience and their awesome service has continued. Hopefully all my visits will be this good.
