I stopped by Shop Yuju and thought it was a super cute stationary and novelty store! There were shelves full of stickers and accessories to the right side. I love how they support local artists as well. I recognized a couple of artists' merch in the store. If you're into trinkets and junk journaling, I did see a couple of trinket-inspired stickers and a kit that really caught my eye. Not only was there stationary but there were a lot of accessories and novelty items. The staff was friendly; we were greeted with a warm welcome when we walked in. I look forward to stopping by whenever I am in the area!

Shop Yuju is an awesome home decor shop selling tons of cool items. This spot is located right in Downtown Alhambra where there is street parking all around the area. They have items ranging from stationery, stickers, blind boxes, art, and more! Definitely stop by to look around and you will probably not leave empty handed!

Unique store offering hard to find items. I've never seen most of their products. Lots of cool stuff to choose from. High quality items throughout the store. Beautifully set up for convenient shopping.Ambient decor with a friendly atmosphere. Prices on the high end but worth it. My kids loved it. I wasn't familiar with most items but I could tell they were of high quality.

Came here randomly walking in downtown Alhambra. Such a cute store for gifts. They have a wide range of items such as stickers, plushies, gift bags, beanies, tote bags, clothes, sweaters, cups, mystery bags, hair accessories, pins, keychains, blind boxes, and so much more. They have gift cards as well. There are currently some sales such as certain stickers for 3 stickers for $10 & 50% off Christmas items. The cashier was super friendly. I like that there was space to walk around and to push push a wheelchair or a stroller in. The store does get crowded but it's easy to maneuver. Write a Google review and follow them on insta to get $3 off. Will definitely be back for more cute gifts.

If the lot is full, then there should be plenty of alternative free public parking options in Downtown Alhambra.

Apparently Nucleus expanded and opened a second location in Portland in 2016. [Parking]: Easy and free street parking. If parking is not available on Main St, then there are plenty of public parking spots and parking plazas in downtown Alhambra. [Space]: The space is separated into a bookstore at the front with various art books and a rotating art exhibit (Wicked in March 2026) at the back. All art on display is for sale. The bookstore sells mostly art books (both original works and artwork from specific anime, games, or pop culture) as well as various original greeting cards. Tickets are not required to see the exhibit and admission is free. [Conclusion]: A neat spot to see various unique art prints and a free exhibit. Chances are if you are at Nucleus then you are also here to check out other spots in downtown Alhambra (e.g. grabbing tea drinks or visiting other miscellaneous shops).

The jewelry is handcrafted, and many pieces include the artist's name and a short bio, which adds such a personal touch. They also carry candles, bags, greeting cards, and products for men, women, and children. The variety is impressive, and I especially appreciated the large selection of handcrafted items. The associates are friendly, welcoming, and genuine. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I noticed they recognized and acknowledged repeat customers. That's impressive, especially considering the number of tourists who visit the store. Another thing I appreciated is that they don't overwhelm you with emails. Their emails are event-focused and purposeful, which is refreshing. You're paying for quality, craftsmanship, and unique items you won't find just anywhere. The prices reflect the specialty merchandise they carry and the care that goes into selecting it. Parking... well, it's Pasadena! It can be challenging, with mostly metered street parking and paid parking garages nearby, but it's a pleasant walk to the store. I highly recommend Homage! It's a wonderful place to find unique gifts or treat yourself to something special.

Currently Shorthand has 3 locations - Highland Park, Larchmont Village, and San Anselmo. This Highland Park location is the flagship location. [Parking]: There are plenty of metered parking spots and paid public parking lots, but parking can be hard to come by during busy shopping seasons. [Selection]: The shop offers greeting cards, pens, notebooks, pen, pencils, gift wraps, etc. I like the greeting card selection a lot better at Shorthand, but I didn't see too many Valentine's Day cards. The shop was a lot more colorful than Crush & Touch as Shorthand organized pens and pencils by color. They also sell really neat hand drawn Highland Park and Eagle Rock maps. The shop also sells various colors of ribbon per yard and gift wrap. Each color of ribbon has a slightly different price. I actually got a red tight weave ribbon for $1.75 per yard and the staff even gave me a slightly extra length. [Gift Wrap Service]: Customers can purchase gifts in store or bring them in from elsewhere. In general, regular (one sheet) = $8, large (two sheets) = $14, and extra large (three sheets+) = $20+. [Conclusion]: A really cute stationery shop with all the supplies for gift wrapping.
