What's the lunch special and how much is it?

We have happy hour every day from open until 5:30 PM. We have a separate lunch menu that served until 3 PM and has our full shotgun selection for our affordable lunch prices.

You would need to call in and make a reservation. Since they have multiple locations, you would have to call the specific restaurant you want to go to.

Do you have private rooms for large large party?

However, if you like medium rare food or fat on your steak, make sure to ask for rare and to keep the fat. The norm I think is most people want really lean and well done. My fam prefers stuff more rare and if you like it rare too, keep that in mind. The grill also contributes to cooking the food more well done. Overall, give Mori a try if you're in the area.

Yet we had been sitting there for a full 15 minutes waiting for one of the three servers speeding around. Finally one of the servers took our orders, couldn't understand her since she was taking very fast so we had to have her repeat herself several times. When we got our bills it didn't reflect the price for lunch. Server said because we put our orders in after 4..... after sitting for 15 minutes to have our orders taken. Asked for medium-rare, and Chicken Fried Rice (5.00), I don't know why they charge for the rice? I also got one of my favorite cocktails..Piña Colada (11.00). William was our server along with Linda. They were both kind and sweet. Our chef Luis made all of us a PERFECT MEAL! He was a bit quiet, but did a FANTASTIC JOB! Place was kind of empty for a Saturday night. The rolls were big and very filling. The nigiri were perfectly proportioned. I was satisfied with my order. Service was wonderful. The interior was spacious with plenty of seats. We were lucky to find a table for 2, they encourage you to stay no more than 60 minutes but I don't think a lot of people took that into consideration as I saw many families / bigger parties staking out for spots. We ordered a pork katsu curry, karaage, brown sugar matcha latte, and the chocolate crunch matcha frappe. I love how fresh the food was! Our pork katsu had a light crunchy fry to it and the curry flavoring was on point. The rice was also well made which brought the dish together. I absolutely love the karaage here, it wasn't overly greasy and the batter was nice and light! I do wish there was some kewpie mayo on the side to dip it with but the lemon provided acidity to cut the rich flavors of the thigh. I tend to enjoy a stronger matcha and Nana's gives just that! My partner enjoys a sweeter / lighter matcha so he wasn't a huge fan of his brown sugar matcha. I'm so curious to know if they sell the chocolate crunch they put on the matcha because it provides such a great texture piece to the frappe. Parking: If you're lucky, street parking, but if not - We parked at the parking structure south of Raymond between Colorado & Green - first 2 hours is $1.00! It's about a 5 min walk to Nana's. Overall, their food selection is limited but is made fresh and delicious. If you enjoy a stronger matcha, go for it! I'm coming back next time to try their parfaits.

Since my last 1 star rating review for this restaurant was taken down, I will be nicer this time: As a person of Asian decent that knows quality teppanyaki dining, here is where Shogun now stands. My family frequently went to this restaurant for special occasions for the great environment the staff created. However, that aura is now gone, and it's sad to say it has been watered down. My family, loyal customers since this branch was established, now have no desire to ever go back. If you've never been to a teppanyaki restaurant before, then this restaurant seems cool. If you HAVE experienced quality teppanyaki dining before, then you will know that the standards in the energy that the staff is supposed to bring is well below par. The cooks just go through the motions now. No smile, same jokes, and you feel that he knows he is telling the same jokes, just waiting for his shift to be over. The waitress does her job and leaves. No time for friendly conversation in a busy restaurant I guess. The manager will not help you or compensate you if anything goes wrong. She will simply freeze like a deer in headlights, and the best you will get is a "I so sorry." I won't go into the incident that the manager could not resolve because it would be unfair to the business if it were publicly on Yelp. It's that bad. The incident just happen to be the last straw of a series of issues leading up to it. One word: Tactless. In all fairness, to a new customer, this could be a nice restaurant. Maybe because my family has seen it in its prime, we are naturally so disappointed to see the downhill slope it has taken. The economy has hit Shogun, and it shows. The new decorations aren't noticeable enough to compensate for the lack of experience it promises. I suggest this place only for sushi AT THE SUSHI BAR, which is sad for a restaurant that advertises itself for teppan grill. Strange experience... from the wait staff being overheard talking to the sushi counter workers about other tables, for example, "those customers were so cheap," to the host beating on a drum as they walked to me my table and when I asked what this symbolized, she laughed and told me, "I have no idea." The food here is just so-so. The biggest disappointment came from my yakisoba dish, because it wasn't yakisoba at all. The pasta they used is a flat noodle that tasted just like the barilla linguine pasta that I buy at the grocery store and cook with tomato sauce. I asked my waiter about this and they confirmed that the restaurant recently changed the recipe and no longer use real yakisoba noodles anymore, and instead use Italian pasta. What a disappointment! I also ordered the wagyu and lobster. The wagyu was cooked to my liking, but lacked any seasoning and there were a few pieces that were just 100% fat which I do not enjoy. This is not what wagyu is known for and not what I paid a premium for. The lobster was also a tiny portion. For a $27 upcharge, I expected more than the three small chunks I received. The salmon skin hand roll was very nice tasting, although it fell apart almost immediately. The ikura sushi tasted old and didn't have that crisp popping texture that this dish is known for. I was debating weather to try his restaurant or return to Sakura in La Cañada Flintridge and I deep regret my decision to eat at Shogun. My bill came out to about $130 and the only thing I really enjoyed was the rice and onion soup. And although I brought up my concerns to the staff, no accommodations were offered. Go try Sakura instead of Shogun! Although gas prices right now are extremely high, it is worth driving 15 minutes from Pasadena to get a much better experience again Sakura in LCF. *Edit* I am upgrading the review to two stars for the managers professional response. First time coming to this place over the weekend for my friend's birthday. Oh god it was expensive. $60 per person was the price that we had to pay. When I first got here, I liked the restaurant, it looks nice and it seemed to be a little different from other restaurants, so I was excited for the experience that was about to come. I ordered the seafood combo, which was about $25. A little pricy, but not too bad. That's all that I ordered. When the chef came, he did his tricks with the food and I was amazed. He cooks the food right in front of you and has these wonderful cooking tricks to perform. I liked it. The seafood combo that i got was pretty good, It had a lot of seafood in it, which is my favorite type of food. Every bite was how I expected the food to taste. As soon as the check came out, it blew my mind away. How did $25 go to $60 per person? I guess the drinks were a little more than I expected plus tax and tip. What I'm trying to say is, if you want good food, there are plenty of other places that would have it for cheaper than this place. You can get 2 really good dinners for the price that you pay at shogun. If you are into the tricks, just go on Youtube and watch it to your hearts content, don't pay $30 just for the tricks. read more

we've been came this location for years and years , looks like this place is under new management , food still delicious , our chef are funny and friendly but, the only thing is we're trying to eat our dinner with sweat, i feel like 90 degrees in there, the whole my family sweating and humid , i dont know maybe they trying to save money for not turning on the air conditioner? ridiculously cheap management! look like this plc is down to hell. i feel sorry for server and chef who's working there . is highly risk covid 19 specially with this pandemic situation, with so hot and humid environment. we call our server and she begging us to talk to manager that they already try to talk manager's months and months but nothing it changes ....omg...and after we have talk to manager , he said he will check the temperature, and doesn't make any different after that's , so we have to rush eating and go....... very disappointed .Definitely will not come back again.... I was here for lunch last week. I have been here many times but we always go to teppan-yaki. This time, we decided to try the other side...traditional dining. So I discovered there's a great deal for lunch here!! You can make your own combo choosing a sushi roll and an entree. There's about 10 or more rolls to choose from..and entree choices were chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, steak teriyaki, shrimp tempura....etc. It took me a while to order since they all sound good to me. I ended up ordering from what they had insert picture on lunch menu.. Alaskan roll and mixed tempura combo. Alaskan roll= spicy tuna+salmon on top, both of my favorite. Mixed tempura...it was just came out from kitchen, nice and crispy! Lunch combo also came with a choice of soup or salad. For all that, $11.50!! I was very satisfied walked out restaurant. So I've been a regular for over 10 years now. Place it self tells their history...some Japanese antique decors and their atmosphere gives you an oriental feeling! Teppan is where chef cooks in front of you and my kids love the fire and the show. Some chef does great tricks that kids get excited...it's been always perfect for kid's birthday even for adults.(Yes, they have full bar loaded with bunch of alcohols!!!) My favorite meal is filet and scallop combimation and crunchy dragon roll..filet is so tender and scallop is just too good..they cook with butter and soy sauce. Service is attentive most of times, unless they are too busy. Weekends always get busy so highly recommended making reservation. Over all, this is my to-go restaurant for any occasions. Or I'd just keep coming back for their tasty food. :) read more

Just thinking about Shogun makes my mouth water. I come here very often, mostly for appetizers and rolls at the sushi bar. They have a very good happy hour during the week. Once in a while I have date night with the boyfriend at the teppanyaki side. I don't want to be picky, but Al Pacino is our favorite chef! I always come here thinking about trying something new, but I always end up getting the new york steak with shrimp. Maybe it's all that butter they put on the food because everything the chef cooks (meat, seafood, vegetables, rice) is absolutely delicious!!! If you are trying to decide where to go to celebrate an occasion, Shogun is the place to go! The staff all get together and sing you a Japanese song. Plus you get a free scoop of ice cream! Many positive and negative reviews posted here. I'm not fond of fancy dining but have to say that. A. We were seated promptly on mother's day with a reservation. B. Service was polite, prompt and courteous. Hostess very polite. C. We were a bit rushed to place an order, drinks ordered but not served. Soup came out before drinks. D. The online menu prices from the same day were 2-3 $ cheaper than the menu we were handed at the table. Price gouging, false advertising whatever. E. I had such an amazing experience at Shogun, and it was all thanks to TT, Marliz, and Ian! From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The customer service was top tier -- friendly, attentive, and super professional. They indefinitely made my valentines day TT brought such great energy and made the whole experience fun. Terrible place to be. Seriously twelve dollars for five pieces of sushi and I'm still hungry. I know this place is expensive like most Japanese restaurants. The food here isn't great, it's just edible to eat. Moreover, the portion of the food is so small that you have to slowly eat them so you could be full. This restaurant shows no quality nor quantities of anything. The customer service reeks of bad blood and the environment didn't show much of a Japanese culture. The restaurant is dark most of the time, so this is where shady people really eat and this is where shady people find no taste in their palates whatsoever. "Da** Shogun" back again with that good food!!! I mean, it is a bit pricey, but worth it..... Been here for years and been to both sides of the restaurant, both Lunch and dinner on the Teppanyaki and The traditional dining side. Very accommodating, and fun too..... Attentive servers and fun chefs. Couple of my favorites from the sushi are probably the caliente roll, Alaskan Roll, Crunchy dragon roll, CRISPY RICE.. yummmmmmmmm... Teppanyaki faves: Filet mignon and Shrimp/ colossal shrimp... And you know what? it may not be in the menu anymore, but I guess we can order as a side order, and that is the Calamari steak.. I recently moved in Pasadena - Arcadia area, and I am still exploring my new favorite spots for dinner. My wife and I enjoy Japanese foods, sushi and a glass of good sake. I've been here about three times, and I enjoyed every time. I came here Friday night, they were busier than week day nights, but still, we got a great service. I believe the server's name was Melissa. She was very attentive, sweet and friendly. I can be a picky eater, but she did not miss anything I said - and my food came out exactly what I asked. It was busy Saturday night! My friend and I had such a wonderful time. We had a reservation and we got seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive, and very pleasant. Our chef arrived after soup and salad was being served. His name was 'al pachino' and he was so fun and entertaining!! He cooks awesome food! I ordered steak and lobster with fried rice. I used to go to Shogun in La Verne, since I moved around Pasadena area, I decided I'll give it a try. It's just as good as La Verne location. But only thing is they have small sushi bar, so weekend nights can be packed. I enjoy having Teppanyaki, I come here for my birthday and friend's birthdays. They sing Japanese Happy Birthday Song and give you free ice cream for birthday person. Chefs are friendly and servers are very attentive. Came here last night for my moms birthday, everything was perfect! We were seated promptly to our arrival, our server Wong was a sweetheart and she made sure we had drinks at all time. We never had to ask for anything! Our Chef Gary was such a character! We loved him, he was two in one, a great cook and a show! Best sushi; best sashimi; best tempura; best miso soup; best rolls; amazing atmosphere and service. I dined at the sushi bar/table side. I reserve the grill show side for my birthday or special occasions; but even at the restaurant tables you can get whatever you want from the grill side. For example the fried rice is a great side. Really friendly service, a funny and skillful chef, and the whole table had a great time. We came for a couple of birthdays, and they definitely made it feel fun and worth it. The food and overall vibe were both strong. The sesame chicken and ribeye steak were especially good, and I was surprised to also get angel hair-style noodles that were delicious. Sushi and food are good, but the service has plummeted since it was first established. The cooks are no longer engaged, and the servers are not very "aware". Not much separates this restaurant from the average Japanese restaurant other than the food being cooked in front of you. Eat here if you have the cash for the sushi bar or a relatively expensive casual meal. However, for a special occasion, Benihana will take better care of you. read more
