A round chip with a YES or NO sign tells the waiter whether you are ready for your next serving.

We're loyal customers of this restaurant for a long time. Fogo de Chao is our favorite Brazil Steakhouse ! We usually order the Full Churaco menu. It's a large selection of meat that the waiters constantly bring and cut into your plate. It's very tasty. Market table is included in Full Churasco menu too. We've visited several restaurants Fogo De Chao and the Restaurant at Pasadena location is the best on my opinion.

Our reservation was at 2:00 PM, yet we weren't seated until 2:30 PM. What is the point of making a reservation if the restaurant isn't going to honor the reservation time? I had plans at 3:30 PM, and this unnecessary 30-minute delay significantly cut into my afternoon. A reservation should mean something, especially at a restaurant like this. If you know you cannot seat guests at their reserved time, then stop accepting reservations you cannot accommodate. Very disappointing experience. Definitely not the level of service I expected from Fogo de Chão.

I decided to give Fogo de Chão in Pasadena a second chance, hoping my first visit was just an off day. Unfortunately, this visit was even more disappointing. ::Food:: We ordered the Indulgent Churrasco experience. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't match the price point or the ambiance. Most of the meats were chewy and on the salty side. The highlights were the butter-bathed lobster tail and the fried plantains, which were both delicious. The Market Table didn't have many options that stood out. The Brazilian cheese bread, was so dry and lacked flavor. ::Dessert:: The molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was my favorite part of the meal. It was warm, rich, and definitely worth ordering. ::Customer Service:: The service was the biggest disappointment. Based on the price point, I was hoping for attentive service, but everything we asked for took a long time. Our used plates sat on the table for a while before they were cleared, and we rarely saw our server. After our plates were removed, our utensils were taken too. We asked for forks so we could continue eating our plantains, but instead, another order of plantains was brought to the table. We ended up sitting there with two drinks, two plates of plantains, and no forks while we waited again. The most frustrating moment was when I asked for two straws. Nearly 20 minutes passed, so I asked again because I thought they had forgotten. Another server walked by and said, "Here, now you have more straws." I was confused until I noticed two straws had been placed in the corner of our small table without anyone saying anything. The comment felt unnecessary and only made an already frustrating situation more awkward. The bright spot was the management team. The female manager wearing the printed long-sleeve top checked on us several times; she was much more attentive than our server. Jonathan also stopped by to see how everything was and was friendly and professional. Their efforts were appreciated. ::M's Notes:: - Indoor seating - Parking garage and street parking

I came here with my friend to try the happy hour specials, especially the $10 burger. It did not disappoint. Happy hour is only available in the bar area, and our bartender, Kaelan, was very friendly. He even gave us some complimentary cheese rolls to start. We both ordered the burger with the regular fries instead of the yuca fries because my friend had tried the yuca fries before and didn't like them. We ordered our burgers medium, but they came out closer to medium-well. Kaelan offered to have the kitchen remake them, but we declined and just ate them as they were. I was very happy with the value. For $10, I couldn't even get a burger and fries at most fast-food places, let alone at a restaurant like Fogo de Chão. I'll definitely be back to try the other happy hour items.

This review if about the Happy Hour. For those of you who don't know, it's always happy hour at Fogo de Chao in the bar area. No kidding. All day, every day! Also, for those of you who don't know, they have the BEST happy hour burger deal you'll find anywhere. $10 for a big burger and fries. It would easily be over $20 anywhere else, and even the fast food chains would have a hard time beating a deal like this for a similarly sized burger and fries. I've been to the Beverly Hills location, and I like this one better. It's wide open, and the bar is off to the side but still in the restaurant. It's a great, classy vibe, but not at all pretentious. Of course, I had to do the burger deal. It's called the Picanha Burger. I ordered it medium, but it was served well-done. Pretty dry. The bun had been toasted too long, too, so it was also dry and crunchy. For $10, I didn't have the heart to send it back. My experience with steak houses is they tend to be on the side of undercooking more than overcooking. I guess the chef was a little heavy-handed, or his timer was on the fritz. Still, it was OK. It's huge. I could barely finish it, and I have a big appetite. They have other food items on the HH menu. Next time, I think I'll split a burger and get an additional food item off the HH menu. I still loved the experience. I had a nice glass of HH wine for $8. Our server and bartender, Caelan was great and helped create an excellent dining experience.

We came in to experience their bar menu. It took a bit before we were acknowledged at the hostess stand, but when they did show up, it was a warm greeting. The place is really beautiful and the atmosphere is nice. The baseball game was on tv, so that was nice. Bar itself was nice but not super clean. Guy wiped it down but not well. Service was good, otherwise. Bar menu is a great value and mostly very good. Lobster and Shrimp tacos are served on a napa cabbage leaf and presentation is nice, but the filling is pretty skimpy. Empanadas were good but a chimichurri would have been WAY better than the mayo provided. Chicken Sliders are super tasty and the Short Rib Sliders were good but needed a better sauce. Maybe even ketchup. Crab Cake was very good, but a bit salty. More a Crab Bake than a Crab Cake. Still, I'd get it again. Good value and an experience I'd recommend and do again.

First things first, Verónica was great, welcoming and friendly. It was a busy night but she was very attentive which was really appreciated. This is going to be long because there is a lot to discuss. We came in for a deal which didn't include the full list of meats but it did include the market table. The items that stood out were Watermelon, feta and jalapeno. The Caprese, slices or ripe tomatoes topped with buffalo mozzarella. The cheese selection, which included a great blue cheese. The deli meats procutto, salami and mortadella.' Something about the combination of the feta, watermelon and jalapeno went so well with the flavors of the meats. Before I get into the meat selection, I brought some cheesy biscuits and chimichurri. The cheesy biscuits were incredibly addictive. I wanted a popcorn bucket full of them! The two best meats in my opinion were the spicy steak as well as the pork belly with honey lime. The spicy steak had this deep rich flavor that just exploded. The pork belly, the sweetness of the honey, a hint of lime flavor mixed with the fat was an incredible combination. There were so many others that I enjoyed. The Parmesan crust chicken, the pork chop and the prime cut that we got. Finally we got to dessert, on our table we tried the Creme brûlée, the Tres Leches and the chocolate brigadeiro. Creme Brûlée, this was perfect, sweet and creamy. The Brigaderio was mind blowing. The rich creamy incredible explosion of chocolate was blissful. Tres Leches, this really stole the show. It was by far my favorite of the three. You could be completely full and you wouldn't be able to stop from finishing this!

It was my first time here at Fogo in Pasadena and I loved it! Everyone in my party had the Full Experience. The Market salad bar was packed with freshness! Our server Arleth was so friendly, attentive, and made the best recommendations on drinks and dessert. It's a great place to splurge a little while getting wonderful and friendly vibes throughout the entire meal!

How disappointing. I genuinely was so excited to come here for father's day to celebrate my grandfather. I have been here sooooo many times and I have only had positive experiences. What a sh*t show for father's day. I understand it's a holiday but for a restaurant that is on the upper price range y'all need to figure out your reservation system better. People were waiting outside for a long time even though they had reservations. (i.e. 40+ minutes.) genuinely horrible. Imagine you are bringing someone here for the first time, telling them how amazing it is and then have this happen to you. well that was my reality, very mortifying. We basically had to fight our way to a table. otherwise we would've been waiting outside for a long time. I don't know what happened here genuinely. If you are gonna try this place don't go on a holiday. They overbook this place and i feel as though they aren't staffed properly to fit the volume of people that are waiting. food was so disappointing, as in the same 2 meats were rotating for the majority of the time we were there I felt like a parrot asking for specific meats to come out. and I feel as though the quality of the meat has plummeted down since the last time ive been here. Silver lining was that there was other parties around us that felt the same way so it wasn't just an isolated incident with our party. once again, this was so embarrassing on my part for the fact that I would always rave about this place to my family and we ended up with the experience that we had today. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. For an all you can eat place, we left hungry.

We came here tonight to celebrate my birthday and I definitely enjoyed the service, ambiance, and of course the FOOD It was my parent's and I's first time and it's my sister first time also at this location. We made a reservation and was sat right away. Our server was Matheus. He was good when we were sat but was not very good at checking in on us. We also had to ask and follow up on chimichurri and other things as well because it was taking awhile to get what we asked for. Other than that the other servers were AMAZING. The ones serving the meats, and getting our plates out the way was very attentive. The food was so good, the meat was flavorful and not dry at all. My parents were addicted to the pork belly with lime and honey. I loved all the meats that I got and when we ordered desserts we got the molten lava cake, tres leches, and crème brûlée cheesecake. Since it's my birthday they asked me which one I was most interested in and I said the cheesecake and the waiter came back with a happy birthday written on it, a candle, and when we paid we saw that it was a complimentary dessert which we were so grateful for. It was an amazing experience and I would definitely comeback!

Ordered: - Complimentary Cheese Bread (5/5): Love how crispy the cheese bread is and the way the cheese blends with the bread. It's one of our favorite items from Fogo! - Crispy Yuca Fries (4/5): This surprised us because we were expecting a lot more thinner cut fries, but instead it's just 6 really big fries with a sauce pairing to go with it. The flavors were solid but we just wish there was more! - The Bone (5/5): Favorite dish of the bunch. Initially looked overcooked but once we bit into it we found out how tender and juicy it was. Only complaint is the provided chimichurri was mostly oil. - Spiced chicken sliders (3/5): This was a pretty unremarkable dish, and the chicken was dry. Overall (3.5/5): We came here early for the happy hour menu at the bar, where you find seating yourself. There wasn't a wait and it was a pretty quiet dinner. Despite it being not busy, the food came out pretty slowly and we weren't very impressed with the sliders which we had higher expectations for.

Came here to try their happy hour and it was a hit! They have an all day hour hour menu at the bar for select drinks. There is also happy hour menu for food that I believe is till 6:30 at the bar only. My friend and I came on Friday at 5:45p and was able to quickly find a bar seat. We shared the picanha burger ($10) with yuca fries (+$4) and the Brazilian empanadas ($6). It was plenty of food. I got the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha drink. It was so good!! Service was great! We got free Brazilian cheese bread too! Their happy hour menu is great and would definitely come back.

My first time dining in at FOGO in Pasadena with my group of close friends. I had a great time at the salad bar filled with delicious vegetables, meats and fruits. Our server Katrina was amazing at her first day of work. She went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. Every meat server did a spectacular job at slicing the perfect slice of Brazilian meat for our tasting. I almost went to heaven when Katrina brought out all the desserts. It melted our hearts and tummies. Kudos to you girl and we shall be back very soon!!! Ciao Bella Pasadena FOGO crew!!!

I had sent my cousin a few restaurant options in the area that looked good, and Pez Coastal Kitchen was one that we both liked the most. Best decision ever! Pez Coastal Kitchen has a lively ambiance made for large groups with their large booths and large tables. Somehow it is lively while still being very intimate as their lush décor gives it an intimate vibe. Since we have light appetites, we decided to share the Cioppino ($49) which has shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken, fish, tomatoes, parmesan gnocchi and cheesy garlic bread. Yum!! Wow everything about this dish was magnificent. Every single ingredient was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi had the fluffiest texture. The broth was so delicious we can drink it. We asked for 2 more pieces of bread, which I was happy to pay for, but I checked the receipt and they didn't charge us for it. How nice!! And even though I can't even any more savory foods, we had room for their Panna Cotta ($15). The panna cotta was topped with crumbles of their shortbread cookie. Both the panna cotta and the short bread cookie layers were good. There was also berries with chocolate drizzles that were good. There was a layer of over gelatinous raspberry that was thick and rubbery, which I could do without, but the overall dessert was good. While we were here, we even ran into a celebrity... like a globally known celebrity that would be recognized by multiple generations. I don't want to ruin their privacy but I just want to comment on how this restaurant is so amazing, even celebrities come here. Definitely the highlight of our night! We were so happy we came here for an incredible meal, and then even a celebrity sighting. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I know they have a fancy whole fried fish dish but we'll need more of the family with us to eat such a large item, and of course try more of chefs dishes. I hear the menu here is seasonal for the freshest ingredients so you can expect to see different dishes when you visit.

Meatballs, the crab cake, the fresh burrata and beet salad were really fresh. My cocktail though was very bad. I asked for it not to be too sweet and came out to be extremely bitter. They tried to fixed it, but it was stop a flop. I didn't even drink,it. It was a waste. The restaurant it's;ed is nice;y decorated. Casual but nice. Now for customer service - our server was nice. Our reservation was at 8pm on Saturday night. The restaurant kicked us out literally at 10:15. They turned off the lights at 10pm. We asked for waters and the server said - we have to give a bottled water and you need to leave because we are close. Seriously, it was at 10:15 on a Saturday night when we stepped out of the restaurant as they literally shut the doors. It's bad for business. I understand they are saving hourly employee salary but bad business practice. Would I ever go back? No. And I don't recommend this place to anyone.

We decided to try Nick's for lunch to celebrate my birthday. OMG!!!!…read moreWhat a great place to dine. We had a reservation so we were seated right away on the second floor, just above the bar. The music was a little on the loud side so conversation was a little strained. The food was absolutely amazing. Our server was very friendly and informative but was not quite as attentive as we would expect for an establishment like this. This was our first time here, so we had to try the Asparagus Fries. The asparagus was cooked to perfection but the batter did not have much flavor. Members of our party ordered the California Salad, a Veggie Burger, the Meatloaf and a Picante Pizza. The California Salad was smaller than expected but delicious. The Veggie Burger was excellent! The Meatloaf was the hit of the table. It was so good that my wife did not offer a taste to any of us. She was in food Heaven. The pizza was exactly as described and tasted wonderful. Since we were celebrating my birthday, our server brought me a delicious piece of double chocolate cake with a candle in it. Nice touch!! We also had one of their Warm Butter Cake's with some excellent vanilla ice cream on top. Absolutely wonderful!. This may be our new "go-to" place. Looking forward to return to savor the other items on the menu. Their drinks looked delicious as well, so we will definitely try those too.

Made a reservation about an hour before, so when we got there we were seated immediately. After a quick glance at the drink menu, had to get the Mai Tai with lilikoi foam on top. So delicious. Had my first lilikoi foam in Maui and I love that I'm starting to see it around Los Angeles now. Adds such a punch of flavor to an after we balanced drink. For food, we started with the bacon deviled eggs and shrimp taquitos. Those deviled eggs were lightly fried, which was different, then had apple wood smoked bacon on top, just a really tasty bite. The shrimp taquitos were also not what you would expect, nice and light but still very good. Entrees we went with the center cut fillet and the prime rib dip with swiss cheese on a brioche bun. That sandwich just melts if your mouth after dipping it in the jous, and the cheese was the perfect accompiament. The fillet was cooked perfect as well, coming out medium rare. Overall, great restaurant in Pasadena. Definitely get the Mai Tai, Devine eggs and prime rib dip. Taquitos were good and, if you're feeling like another hg er appetizer, definitely a way to go . The fillet, also great but I feel you can get it anywhere.

The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The crab roll was packed full of crab meat inside the toasted bun. I love whatever sauce they put on top + the lemon which made the crab meat ridiculously refreshing. The side of salad helped me feel better about eating healthy too and was a nice textural break from the crab roll. Overall, the crab roll tastes relatively similar to what I had at Lobster and Beer. It was very satisfying and I can't wait to come back for the lobster roll. Until I find out they switched to a poke shop instead. What a loss.

I got my usual Cali Truffle Roll (which was delicious, as always) and also got a side of lobster bisque soup. This is the BEST lobster bisque I've had (and I used to live in east coast!). You can truly taste the freshness and yes, there were chunks of lobster in it! They also have a clam chowder which I need to try again. Whatever you come here for, get a side of soup to complete your meal :)

It looked…read morelike they may still be in a soft-opening phase--the sign said "Grand Opening Soon"--but the experience was already very enjoyable. Parking was easy when we arrived shortly after opening. The ambiance is fairly simple and what you'd expect from this type of restaurant, but the warm welcome from Kelly immediately set a great tone. She greeted us with the sweetest smile, took excellent care of our table throughout the meal, and was genuinely awesome. We ordered the crab-and-shrimp combo with added broccoli and corn, and it was really good. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the duck, which was sold out by the time we arrived, but we were able to take some home. The skin could have been crispier, and the meat was slightly underdone for our preference. After a quick finish in the air fryer, though, it was delicious. The biggest surprise was the catfish: perfectly cooked fish in a flavorful, not-too-salty broth with lots of bean sprouts, peanuts, cabbage, and cured meat. It had great umami and was easily one of the standout dishes of the meal. The scallion beef pancake was good as well. The pancake itself was excellent--crispy, savory, and satisfying--although the beef could have used a bit more seasoning. Still, the pancake really carried the dish. The side dishes were also impressive. The garlic beef was excellent, and we enjoyed the spicy tofu. The sesame balls were the one item that could use some improvement; they seemed as though they had been sitting out a bit too long, so the exterior had dried up. Keeping them under warming lights or serving them fresher would make a difference. To top it off, the owner came by to check on us and personally said goodbye when we left. That extra hospitality really added to the experience. Overall, a great new addition to Pasadena. Friendly service, flavorful food, and plenty of dishes worth returning for. We'll definitely be back!

The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was eating my food in this establishment several months ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they were offering some at the moment. They currently do have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the restaurant at a local medical building parking lot. It's $1 each 9 minutes with a max of $13. Or you can try to find street parking and walk on over. Food: I ordered a Lychee Martini, Saigon Summer, Mamasan's Shrimp Cake Skewers, Truffle Wok Seared Noodles with Scallop, Slow-Drip Vietnamese Coffee Flan, and Banyan Tree Ice Cream. Before I started ordering, I was immediately given some house made complimentary shrimp chips. I loved how light and airy it was. It also had an amazing crunch. It tasted just like shrimps hahaha. My lychee martini was a crisp, refreshing cocktail that perfectly balances floral sweetness with tart acidity. Order this! The Saigon summer is a spicy, tropical blend of tequila, lime leaf liqueur, agave, butterfly pea infused triplum, and a Thai chili infusion. Not really up my alley, but I'm glad I was able to try it out. I think I dislike anything spicy and super bitter in my drinks. It just tasted odd. Mamasan's shrimp cake skewers features crispy, deep-fried shrimp cakes flavored with kaffir lime and lemongrass. It is served with skewers, charred pineapple, and a sweet garlic chili dip. Definitely get this. It was so crunchy, massive, and mouthwatering. The charred pineapple provided a sour yet sweet taste that helped off set the savory seafood / fishy taste in your mouth. The truffle wok seared noodles with scallop is a dish that combines savory, smoky flavor with luxurious truffle and tender scallops, which bridges the gap between classic Asian stir-fry and Italian comfort food. As a massive sucker for Italian food and all things truffle, this dish was my favorite. The al dente handmade egg noodles were wok-tossed in a rich black truffle sauce with delicious mushrooms, fresh Brussels sprout leaves, and perfectly seared scallops. I loved that I could taste the black truffles. The truffles added a nice rich, earthy, and highly savory flavor with prominent notes roasted nuts. GET THIS DISH!!!!! The slow-drip Vietnamese coffee flan is a silky, rich egg custard infused with bold phin-drip coffee and sweetened condensed milk. It offers a perfect balance of bitter roasted coffee and sweet creamy custard. This dish was super smooth, creamy, and delicious. I loved that Star Leaf added their own twist to this dish by putting a caramel golden cage on top of this already phenomenal tasting dessert. The caramel golden cage gave this flan a nice crunch. This dish wasn't too sweet for me. As a hater of super sweet things, this flan was just right. The banyan tree ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Super refreshing! I got two scoops of Thai tea ice cream and one scoop of the coconut ice cream. Both flavors were fantastic and tasted very creamy. Not too sweet, which is how I like it. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, welcoming, and polite. Elysha waited on me when I went. She was very attentive, informative, and personable. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Obviously, you can't come to a place that has lobster in the menu without ordering lobster, and we got the House Special Lobster (Large) with Garlic Noodle. Other items we ordered were the French Style Beef Cube, Braided Crab Meat & Fish Maw Soup, Beef Mongolian, Crispy Fried Sole Fish, BBQ Fried Rice, Clams with Spicy Sauce, Crispy Fried Squid with Salt and Pepper, and Clams with Black Bean Sauce. The portions are actually quite massive for each dish. All of it was very solid and tasty Chinese food. We were definitely very stuffed after this lunch was over! Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. But yeah, you do have to flag them down to get their attention. They do have a parking lot here, and we got here early enough on a Sunday where parking wasn't an issue. However, I can see it being a problem on busier days. Boston Lobster is definitely worth a visit if you want solid Chinese food at a fair affordable price. Really good!

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.
