I picked out a shoe and it was perfect. The next couples of shoes i had Cynthia run back in forth from size 10 to 10 1/2. She was very patience and courteous to me the whole time only for me to not get those shoes that she had run back and forth for. I ended up getting two pairs of the same shoes but one pair was to be shipped. Thank you Cynthia for going above and beyond to assisting me. Being going to this location for a few years. Why? I keep hoping it will improve, but sadly Friday was my last time here! No one would assist us in purchasing boots. Ask ed a young man in the back if he would help (he & another worker were watching the soccer game). He said someone in the front can help, really! The 2 ladies up front acted bothered when I asked for assistance. Then the one that finally came to assit us, gave us horrible attitude. Then there was a goal scored and there was screaming in the back. But still no help for customers out front. Not to mention the extremely inappropriate music being played in store. This is a store that sells kids shoes too, so foul language should be avoided We were extremely uncomfortable with the terrible treatment! Never will we go to this location again. We will spend our $150 to $200 for a pair of boots elsewhere. A store that appreciates and values their customers. read more

My parents purchased a pair of adidas from their clearance rack and the second shoe was not out so they went to the cash register to wait for the other shoe and finish their purchase. The other shoe that was brought out was yellow since it was obviously a sample from the shoes that are left out for viewing. Not once did the male representative SHOW them the shoe was defective. I mean WHO would wear a yellow shoe??? I called the location today to speak to a manager and was advised there will be no refund. The customer service here is the worst I have encountered. Who would even think to do this or think ANYONE would wear this mismatched shoe. They should have shown my parents the shoe before the purchase and advised it was DEFECTIVE. Store is pretty big and well stocked but this place needs to get rid of the cashier. I used to be a regular at the Vans shoe store down on Imperial but ever since I stopped by this store that has changed. I'm a relatively shy person but once I walked into the store I was greeted by a young gentleman named Brandon. He was helpful in guiding me around the store as well as giving some great suggestions! The selection is great, they do have a lot of items to choose from. They have 2 female employees who just seem to always be having a bad day because it shows in their face and they treat the customers as such. They reply as if we're annoying them for asking questions. This happened on 2 occasions last month in July. I even sent a buddy there thinking it was a fluke and he said he had a female with a bad attitude helping him. I hate to leave bad review but I'm just being honest. They need customer service training. A couple of the male workers kind of had a chip on their shoulders having a full blown conversation showing their phones to each other as I was checking out, when I was trying to have kind small talk, they would one word answer me just to continue their non work related conversation, which I thought was kind of rude. I guess this can only be chalked up as the new generation seems to think they have it all figured out and anyone older than them don't know anything. Lol can't wait till life humbles them. Other then the employees the store itself is great and as long as you can get past the so so customer service, you'll be fine. TRY A DIFFERENT LOCATION BEFORE TGE NORWALK ONE The manager here is terrible, and weirdly seems to be on some kind of power trip. I don't know how this company feels it brand should be represented but I'm sure it's not being done so appropriately by Cynthia. I had a simple request for a reprint for a previous purchase and she flat out denied it and stated her company did not allow it. Ridiculous to me. I've been a store manager for 8 years now and am fully aware that every business has a point of sale system in place that allows you to search up an old purchase with some basic info like the ending card numbers, date of purchase and item description. I literally had to call two different stores for more information since for whatever reason the contact information for this company (which is also Robert Wayne btw, where I actually like to purchase my doc martens but will no longer do based on this experience) does not work. That's probably why Cynthia is on some kind of power trip since she might feel there will be no disciplinary action taken against her for acting as erratically as she does. I was lucky enough to get in contact with Maricella from Commerce who was super accommodating and was actually the one who ended up emailing my receipt. She really went above and beyond to help me amend the situation. I think it's ridiculous that she had to do Cynthias job besides taking care of the tasks she has to do at her own location. I can't imagine that Cynthia represents the brand in a way Shoeteria and Robert Wayne deem fit. It's so ridiculous the amount of time I had to spent and the lengths which I had to go through just to receive a simple "reprint". I doubt I'll ever shop at shoeteria or Robert Wayne again just based on this woman's behavior, if I were to consider it, it would only be because of Maricella from Commerce. Shoeteria might want to evaluate their management team and the people who are respecting their brand. I can't imagine how many customers and revenue they've lost because of bad experiences like this. A quick search on google and Yelp alone give you an insight. I was also never contacted by upper management? How are employees being held accountable, what's the chain of command ? So I walked in wasn't greeted. Whatever. Saw the collection of vans on the wall and saw that they had a nice green one. So I grabbed it. I literally stood next to the opening to the stockroom because I saw someone walk in. She walked out right past me and didn't bother to greet or assist me. The store had a few customers non of which whom were actually being serviced and there were multiple employees. Although I was the only black face in there at least I know me being black wasn't why I was helped. The others didn't appear to be being helped either.
