Great spot in Egg Harbor! We sat on the patio overlooking the beautiful harbor. Service was fantastic. We loved to be seafood dip appetizer (ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture!)

White wine slushie with cherry boba

White wine slushies with cherry boba, it was more important than the food for me!!! You can have one with dinner and take one to go. It's a big place, the bathrooms are upstairs.

After having a few wine, my wife and I looked at each other and said we better get something to eat before we have more wine samples It was the closest place. It seemed reasonable enough and the food was actually pretty good. The moral of the story if you're out to drink a lot of wine stop at this place and have something to eat before you go or do that.

Buttery garlic shrimp scampi

I ordered the buttery garlic shrimp scampi and the whole bowl was just covered in olive oil. The service wasn't the most friendly, with them giving us some attitude. I thought that the inside was cool but an inconvenience with the bathrooms being on the 2nd floor.

This place is massive! No doubt they fill up too, as this is one of the main (if not the only?) restaurants in Egg Harbor. Downstairs you'll find all high-tops and a large bar area, and on the second floor are low-tops with plenty of room for group seating. We came here on a visit to town with some friends and our kids. Being sat upstairs was perfect, as it's super spacious. My son enjoyed his fish n' chips from the kids menu, which we ordered right away and it was brought to us soon after. A few brews were ordered around the table as well - they have a solid selection of their own beers, along with hard cider and seltzers. My husband and I split a burger, the Jolly Roger I think it was called? Basically the spicer option of the burgers with jalapenos, chipotle aioli, and pepper jack cheese. The flavor was great, but the burger itself was just ok. It was a fairly thin patty, and they're all cooked to the same temp, so it seemed a bit overdone. Bun was also meh. Loved the homemade-style, thick kettle chips on the side though! Our server was sweet and attentive, and the atmosphere was nice. I'd probably give it another go and try something else on their vast menu.

So dry for white fish $27 just horrible.

The food was so dry and over cooked for the price. There is not enough staff to run this place. Skip it don't waste your money and the beer is watery.

Flight of beer.

Needs better food. Good place for a beer, great location but food needs a lot of improvement. Bartender was nice.

I wasn't…read moresure at the start because you just never really know what a small restaurant in a small town is going to turn out to be. Upon arrival a young lady greeted me with a genuine smile. It's nice to be sincerely welcome. There were two other tables eating and they seemed happy so I felt like I made a good decision. My server greeted me within 30 seconds or less, not sure if he was also the owner but he was also extremely kind and helpful with the menu. It was around 9:30 so I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy (personal fav) which came with a side of fresh fruit. I also ordered an Orange Juice. The Orange juice was actually super delicious and I am kind of picky on Orange juice so I am glad I went with it. As for the biscuits and gravy I was sold. The gravy tasted like it was homemade and made in small batches with extra attention. The biscuits were also super moist and complimented the gravy perfectly. It was served with a side of fruit which you can not substitute. I am glad I did not substitute because the fruit tasted really fresh and went very well to counter balance the biscuits and gravy. He told me he just cut the fruit and I could tell. All in all this breakfast was a perfect way to spend a birthday morning. The ambiance and environment made for a very nice and relaxing morning visit. The only small knock I have on the place is that the chairs they have at the tables were very hard and uncomfortable. But that was literally my only thing I could gripe on. I would without a doubt come back again to try another dish. I highly recommend. Thank you Village Cafe! :)
