Second night dinner.. we were tired from a hike, and I thought my order is not bad and I will order it again given the chance if ever we come back. My husband's order is ok he said. Nice atmosphere and food is very standard, nothing special. We had the Fisherman's Favorite (no tartar sauce???) and the Cherry Pecan Salad (with a hair???). When brought to the waiter's attention, after eating 1/2 the salad, he asked if we were sure it came from the kitchen. My wife has blonde hair and this hair was black. Look. We're not looking for a free handout here and just bringing up that my wife had eaten half the salad to find a hair in it. He did give us his discount and I still tipped him more than what he would've normal got from me at the regular price. I guess I'm just peeved at his comment. We won't be back. read more

We went for beer, since it's the original Door County craft brewery. The beer is just ok. The Oktoberfest and Flanders Red were decent. The porter and pumpkin fell short. We sat at the bar. My wife had a cherry mimosa hard cider which was delicious a. It's a beautiful building, rebuilt after being lost to fire in 2017. Harbor views from the spacious second floor. The beer selection is on point!!! The reservation are great and thw just build a huge tent outside with all COVID regulations, i felt safe going there, the personal were very good and constantly cleaning the area. I've always enjoy going there. read more

My favorite spot on our trip to Door County. My family of 5 and I wanted to make sure it wasn't crazy busy on the patio (wanted to social distance) so we dropped by for dinner at 8:30pm and was steamed right away with not many people around us. Love having Door County wines in the menu - ordered a bottle to split with my husband. I had the Cajun shrimp Alfredo - OMG YUM YUM YUM! I wish I could have this for dinner every day. I loved the noodles, tons of shrimp and amazing flavor. My husband got the meatloaf and fell in LOVE! Helped that the server was super passionate about the meatloaf and recommended that he get extra BBQ sauce on the side. My son got the fish & chips. Wonderful sized fried fish. Huge portions. We are on vacation from San Diego visiting relatives in Door County and we ate at Shipwrecked last night. Our server was Mark Lee and he made some excellent recommendations. We started with the cheese curds and they were delicious. My husband ordered the special of the night which was meatloaf with cherry BBQ sauce, mashed potatoes green beans and broccoli - he thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I ordered the pulled pork with the cherry BBQ sauce and it was delicious. For dessert we all shared the bread pudding with dark chocolate and cherries- the portion was more than generous and it was heavenly! Mark was so welcoming and he checked on us frequently. He was quick in bringing us extra sauces, drink refills, etc. We spoke with Joe the manager at the end of the evening and he was very friendly. He chatted with us about the restaurants history and menu items and thanked us for having dinner at Shipwrecked. We have seen mixed reviews, but we really enjoyed our dinners. We sat outside. Our waiter was very nice. We tried the cod fish fry, perch fish fry and the ahi tuna. All were really good. This is one of the very few restaurants that are open throughout the week and closes at 10pm. That's really needed given how much there is to do in Door County. Whole experience was meh. Among other things, the pulled pork sandwich was cold. Below average food quality and inflated prices. If your kid gets a refill on soda they have on tap, you get charged. Who charges for soda refills? Walk up the block to one barrel. It will be crowded for a reason. Read the reviews for both places, make an informed decision. I do not get all these negative reviews. We were here today (Fathers Day) and the food was delicious! We started with cheese curds and all had a variety of other things like the pulled pork, beer cheese and mac, club wrap, etc. All of it was very good! Got seated quickly. Service was also very good. Our server was a young man from Romania who couldn't have been more knowledgeable and efficient, as well as friendly. We really enjoyed talking with him. And then there was the food! Wonderful place that is open daily (even on Easter when everything else was closed). Ambiance - awesome. HUGE two floor restaurant that is shipwrecked theme with a fireplace and big windows on the second floor. Food and drink - Food was solid (3.5/5). We got the buffalo chicken drumsticks which were great. Clam chowder was creamy just the way I like it. The crabcake sandwich was also good but I don't really love crab so I'm not sure why I ordered it... however if you like crab cakes then you will like it more than I did. Standard American food/seafood. I did not order a drink but the bar is fully stocked and microbrews are a highlight here! Parking - street parking is available all around the restaurant. It was quiet when I was there (off season Door County) so I cannot tell you if parking is difficult during the busy season. read more

I hadn't been back to Shipwrecked since 2016, and I was devastated to hear that the ole place had caught fire and burned down. First visit here (7-12-21). We stopped in from seeing the location on the docu-series "Haunted State". First off the Polka King Porter (Door County Brewery) was awesome. All the food that passed by looked awesome as well. We had fish and chips ,tasty. We sat inside as the patio was busy. Service was good even though the restaurant was busing in general. We were in town and tried this place. We ordered all burgers for our dinner as a family. Cool place and looked promising. Ambiance was great. Now as for the burgers.....Burgers were bland and worst of all burnt. Im not talking burnt like charred but remember the guy from beetlejuice at the end that ask for a smoke? (See photo) Like that burnt. The cows baby calf was presumably burnt as well as how bad they cooked it. I dont know what they were thinking or decided to have a smoke break while the flame was set to hell fire but it came out bad. Be warned of them. Also took forever to get our food to go. Fries were decent but to charge that much for craptastic burger is outrageous. That is all. Place is packed bc of drinks and beer which were good. read more

My wife and I attended ShipWrecked Pub for lunch and some brews. We had a great experience with some delicious food and beers, excellent bartenders. We had the smoked chicken dummies and highly suggest them. Also the bartender recommended the Seafood Chowder and we ordered a cup, wow excellent choice. We happened upon this place on our way back to our RV after a day in Door County and it didn't look busy. I was excited to find an elevator to take us to the second floor to watch the sunset. We split a house salad, which was quite large and tasty. After that we each ordered the seafood chowder, which we heard was good. The bowls were large and it was one of the best chowders I've ever tasted. I'm so glad I set my no dairy diet aside for the evening! It was truly amazing. My wife and I had lunch here today. I ordered what was called on the menu a haddock beer battered sandwich. It should have just been called a beer batter sandwich. The batter was so thick on the fish that I tasted absolutely no fish. There was just an overwhelming beer batter that was thick and overpowered the delicate fish. Add to that a plain soft bun. I cut some of the batter off the fish, and the fish by itself had no seasoning or flavor. What a disappointing sandwich. Add the side which were chips, which also had no flavor, and the meal was a lost cause. The chef should learn how to season even a lowly fish sandwich and a few chips. read more

We stopped in very early in the season for lunch. We were one of 3 tables upstairs and yet waited for over 10 minutes for our server to greet us, another 5 for drinks, and 15 more for food. We understand people are sort staffed but we saw at least 3 servers, 2 bartenders and what appeared to be a manager hosting while we were there. My parents and I came here on a day trip around Door County. We were hungry, we saw the sign, we stopped. And we were not disappointed. My dad and I each got a beer sampler. The Cherry Wheat was delicious and I ended up buying a 6-pack. My mom and I shared the loaded pretzel appetizer which was fantastic.
