We went here on a Saturday evening in April. Since it's off season there weren't many people in there. They sat us upstairs and our waiter seemed completely annoyed that we were seated. Maybe he wanted to go home early? I felt better when a table was seated after us. Our waiter complained to us about how slow it was that day. And that some days he comes in and after a few hours has to drive "all the way back to Sturgeon Bay." We each ordered a bowl of soup and we split a burger. Again, he seemed annoyed. There were 4 of us, we got the most basic things, they took around 40 minutes to get us our food. I was feeling like getting a drink. I got 1 drink, it took them 30 minutes to get me my drink. The staff were attentive at the bar, a big plus... this is likely a place that wouldn't survive outside of this area tho. The beer was subpar & we opted to pass on the food, based on feedback from those around us. This place is massive! No doubt they fill up too, as this is one of the main (if not the only?) restaurants in Egg Harbor. Downstairs you'll find all high-tops and a large bar area, and on the second floor are low-tops with plenty of room for group seating. We came here on a visit to town with some friends and our kids. Being sat upstairs was perfect, as it's super spacious. My son enjoyed his fish n' chips from the kids menu, which we ordered right away and it was brought to us soon after. A few brews were ordered around the table as well - they have a solid selection of their own beers, along with hard cider and seltzers. My husband and I split a burger, the Jolly Roger I think it was called? Basically the spicer option of the burgers with jalapenos, chipotle aioli, and pepper jack cheese. The flavor was great, but the burger itself was just ok. It was a fairly thin patty, and they're all cooked to the same temp, so it seemed a bit overdone. Bun was also meh. Loved the homemade-style, thick kettle chips on the side though! Our server was sweet and attentive, and the atmosphere was nice. We waited 15 minutes with no acknowledgement. Another couple was then seated upstairs. Another 10 minutes pass and a server goes over to the other couple. It was obvious there were acquaintances. My husband and I went here in 2023 on our honeymoon. He got the mahi mahi and he said it was "alright". I got the beer battered shrimp and those were amazing. He liked the blueberry spritz hard cider. We returned just a few days ago and the service was poor. Our waiter spilled my husband's blueberry spritz as he was serving it all over the table. We had our toddler with us and he was eating his meal. We asked for additional napkins and the waiter delivered some but put them on top of our toddler's meal. We waited for what seems like 10-15 mins to even get our check, then a few more for them to process it. In a tourist spot like this people want to eat and go, so they can continue about their day. This was entirely too long to be waiting around. No other place in the area took that long. The chicken drummies in the cherry BBQ are amazing! The shrimp was great once again!! Seated quickly on a Tuesday night. Elevator offers easy wheelchair access to the second floor. Waiter was very friendly. Door county white fish baked and served with a lemony sauce. Our group has only been once to this place, but our experience was great. It was lunch in the middle of the week, so may be different during "busy" times. Our large party was accommodated well, even with kids and a person with a walker. The restrooms were accessible, and there was an elevator to the top floor which was a great surprise for the person with a walker in our group. We tried several entrees and apps, and the food was all good! The fish tacos were a fave, but it was all good. We did not order beer this time, but would love to try it next time. Good place for a large group--lots of space (especially upstairs) and a big enough menu to please most. We actually came here twice in a four-day stay. Food, beer, service are all very solid. Captain's Copper Ale was my favorite brew and the Peninsula Porter was good too. Of all the food I tried, the pulled pork was the only miss--dry and bland. The seafood chowder is INCREDIBLE, and I also recommend the fried cod and fish tacos. My kids both devoured the cheeseburger sliders (twice!) and they were pretty sizable. If you're on the fence about the 1.5-pound pretzel, just get it. The pretzel and the dips are scrumptious, and besides, you only live once. If I went back for a third visit, my entire meal would be a bowl of chowder and a pretzel to myself, plus a Captain's Copper or two to wash it down. Mmm, now I really want to return! read more

Returned this summer to meet friends and negotiate an RV rental deal. Decided to meet at Shipwrecked. Sat outside on the rail and enjoyed the view and weather. Friends had fish tacos and a chicken salad. Tacos had very large pieces of battered fish with all the toppings and a side of cole slaw. Plate presented nicely with the fish being the main attraction. Wifey had the chicken salad, too. Both were a mix of nice greens and a generous amount of grilled chicken. Salads came with a bun. I, in turn, made an observation while being seated of a couple who appeared to be eating soup. I watched them closely and they were making "ooo" and "ahh" sounds. They were eating from large white bowls filed to the top rim. After observing for about 10 minutes, our friends were delayed, I asked wifey what she thought they were having. Answer, Seafood Chowder. That was it. About $10 a bowl. With that wifey said, hey that looks good. And I said, must be the guy is licking the bowl. And, in fact, he was. So I politely asked him how the soup was and he responded, delightful. That closed the deal. Every bite was delicious. Chowder had plenty of meat and a savory cream base. I popped in some of those clam shell crackers and went to town. Then I used wifeys bun from her salad to strip the bowl of all the remains. Clean plate club award again. Highly recommend the place without any reservations and look forward to a return visit in the fall. Be sure to sit outside and catch the action in the corner. Great place. read more

The inside is very spacious and clean. Service: Friendly staff that are very helpful accommodating requests. Been here 3 times and they are kind and efficient. Drinks: They have a decent beer list. Their standard bloody mary is lacking, not a lot of flavor. I'm not sure if that reflects in their signature bloody mary (that is basically a meal in itself). Food: BEST KETTLE CHIPS EVER. The rest of the food is great but I come here just for the kettle chips. The beer mac n cheese has great flavor, the sandwiches have all been good. I try and make a stop here anytime I'm in Door County because it is worth it to me. read more

I have always wanted to come here, for many years, I have heard about it, and for a while it was closed. We don't get down to Egg harbor that often but we made it a point to stop in on our way home for lunch. It's a Great location, nice atmosphere and food is very ordinary, nothing special. Its a great building to start and its a big place. I wanted something simple and got the Pretzel Tavern Burger with a Brat patty, a burger, american cheese and sauteed onions. You would never know there was a brat, it did nothing to enhance the sandwich. The whole thing was overwhelmed by the cold and dense pretzel bun. It was fine but not something I would order again. My wife got the Pub Club wrap. She enjoyed it but again nothing special. I would like to try some other thing and maybe it was just us with some over expectations but it was fine but underwhelming. read more

We headed over to Shipwrecked after our larger group had a hard time finding a spot. They have a huge space with a downstairs and very large upstairs. We just went for drinks and apps - both of which were very good. We got cheese curds and the dipping sauce seemed like ketchup, but was something a little different (really good though!). Service was okay, but they maybe could've used one or two more servers for a Saturday. Our waitress was friendly, but we probably waited 10-15 minutes before someone came to our table. I was really thirsty and asked if we could start with waters and our beers were brought before our waters and when I followed up and asked for the waters we still waited another 10 or so minutes before we got them. We got a flight to share which was good, but the holes in the board for the flight were filled with alcohol, so when I picked up my glass liquid just dripped off the bottom since my glass had just been sitting in a pool of alcohol. I would actually probably go back because none of these things were dealbreakers for me and the space was great, but I wouldn't make it my first choice! read more

The food was great and they do have quite a variety of craft beers and cocktails but it took well over 5 minutes to get someone to my table to even bring water even though there were 3 servers standing around the upstairs service bar and no one but me in the upstairs section. I got the feeling no one wanted to serve the single woman at the table ( I noticed them looking at me several times). Shipwrecked is in an awesome location with a cool vibe. We went on a sunny Saturday in the summer for lunch. It was relatively busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. We got a bucket of chips which was delicious, and I got a yummy cherry cider. After looking at the menu online, and not seeing much for vegetarian options, I was thrilled to find that the actual menu in the restaurant included a vegan tofu dish. This dish was delicious. The mango pico de gallo was delicious. The tofu was thinly sliced and well marinated. The green beans were fresh. I would definitely one here again, but hope that the vegetarian and vegan options can be seen online and that there are entree salads available without chicken. read more

Great new building! We haven't been here in a long time and the new building is beautiful and makes the most of their great views! The building is now light-filled and welcoming. It used to be a small, dark bar. And the food is pretty good. We just had burgers but they were good. We had the fries and the cheesy potatoes as our sides and they were also pretty good. Better than average standard bar fare. But the atmosphere is so different and the views of Green Bay from the upstairs are great! Hubby had the Pretzel Tavern burger which was the standout of the meal. It's a burger with a brat on it so he says it was meat-a-licious! The wait was short, the service was fine. And the price was in line with most places in Door County. I'd definitely recommend stopping in for lunch or casual dinner if you're up in Door County. read more
