Phenomenal family-run sandwich shop. Randomly found this place as we are visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes. Great place for lunch really small but the sandwiches were phenomenal. I look forward to one day going back and trying their paninis. They also had local made potato chips that were really good. I just don't recommend the Cherry barbecue flavor ones . My personal preference did not like them. They also had a seafood chowder that was off the hook. read more

We picked up sandwiches to go to eat on the beach on they were DELICIOUS! We tried the Fitzgerald, Rouse Simmons, Griffon (vegetarian!), and a kid's Tugboat. Everyone was extremely happy with their choice and a $8 a sandwich, we all thought we got a great deal. read more

We stopped here after hiking Empire Bluffs in the national lakeshore. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwiches. They were delicious! The bread was salty (in a good way) and the ingredients were fresh and interesting. There is limited seating inside, but eating outside on the picnic tables was the perfect location for our lunch on vacation. You could also tell the locals stop in too, which I think is always a good sign. read more

We struggled to find some breakfast in Empire since season is winding down ... and were gonna go into the BP station for coffee but decided to check and see about the breakfast wrap the hotel told us about. Great tasting sandwiches and salads. It is designed as a take out place so that worked out. It took a while to wait for your order so it was confusing if you should wait inside or outside for it since the limit was 5 people inside at a time. They had picnic tables outside which was appreciated. Umbrellas would be nice as there wasn't any shade. read more

Not to be missed! Very unassuming place you would think to get a quick sandwich but the quality is amazing . If you've been to the Leland Fishtown Cheese Shop it rivals those sandwiches. The soup was out of this world too. This is definitely worth going out of your way for a good lunch. read more

Originally went to Shipwreck cafe to get my water bottles filled up after a long bike ride, but they're only option was to have me pay for a bottle. Staff was friendly, but this is no way to bring in business. After that, I went to the Village Inn, and the staff was super nice and was happy to fill them up with a smile. read more

Monday's special was a Cuban and it was excellent, juicy and flavorful with just the right mustard. Visited the dunes in Michigan last June from California. This tiny gem was just around the corner from the visitor center. Wonderful, delicious sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. Great Lakes Potato Chips were also delicious. I took half a dozen bags to go. Alas, they are long gone. I wish it were closer. Any tips go to the college tuition of the children.
